There are so many really talented people who never get recognized. In Mexico one time these 2 young musicians came on the bus I was riding on, and sang for donations. They were amazing! Another time I met a guy who was playing classical and jazz flute on the street in downtown Mexico City, he told me he actually made a relatively decent living doing that. His playing was fantastic!
The girl at the end brought tears to my eyes! What a powerful voice! If anything can break barriers and smash people's stereotypes of what "poor" people are like it's amazingly talented people like that.

Ranchos and barrios are some of the worst places in earth. More people die in Caracas in a year by gunshots than in the whole Gaza Israel conflict since October 2023 I invite you to go an live there and you will see how this Hollywood version of people will immediately change. I lost family and friends to both gunshots, health care, etc. everyone in my family got mugged at least one, etc. You have no idea, what a terrible place those Ranchos and Barrios are.Do not fall for the "awwwwh people are so nice", of course many will be, but they are also aclimatized to a unsuparsable amount of pure and crude violence, etc.

Yup, the Caracas Metro is free. The Metro is so broke that it can't afford to print tickets (it used to cost a fraction of a cent; compared to NYC's $2.75 fare). And the majority use the Metro because buses regularly break down because the country is running out of engine parts...the situation is that bad But even during tough times, the hearts of a community shine and work together to make ends meet. And it is in the hardest hit areas where they shine the most

The start of a major street starts at $500k per house, goes up to around $1,000,000 and then down to $100,000. All the same 4 mile street that is completely straight. well to be honest, I'm not from Carcas I'm from Maracaibo a different state, and truly Petare and Caracas even though they are in the same state, the ways of living are completely different. Being born in Caracas doesn't mean you feel comfortable in Petare. Is like a city person going to the rural side of the country, but instead of driving hours to get there it's like, a few kilometers down the city

Dharavi slum is very much safer than the cities with slums mentioned, many tourist regularly freely roam and click the daily life's, furthermore slum has so many entrepreneur, so many small scale industries and businesses which now exports their goods to Europe and many other countries.. Also, in day time also Dharavi slum is busy and always crowded..

@@Sid_0016 False. The cost of living in Venezuela is quite high due to inflation, even the dollar devalues in that country. A product today can cost 1USD and tomorrow it can cost 2USD. Just renting an apartment costs 250USD per month in a normal area. Food is inaccessible to most people.

People in Venezuela are really poor. I live in Venezuela and I earn more than 1000USD per month, and I practically look rich.

Yes, I currently live in Venezuela, but everything is more expensive or the same as in another country. Of course, for the tourist in a good country to visit.

Yup, the Caracas Metro is free. The Metro is so broke that it can't afford to print tickets (it used to cost a fraction of a cent; compared to NYC's $2.75 fare). And the majority use the Metro because buses regularly break down because the country is running out of engine parts...the situation is that bad
But even during tough times, the hearts of a community shine and work together to make ends meet. And it is in the hardest hit areas where they shine the most

@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon Really? I can tell you the safest side and the worst side of New York City, Baltimore, Orlando, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago. And for comparison I live 150 miles north of NYC (still in New York state though), with only 6,000 people in my town.
Sadly most cities no matter the size have a good side and a bad side, due to jobs and money. Like that tiny town I live in? The start of a major street starts at $500k per house, goes up to around $1,000,000 and then down to $100,000. All the same 4 mile street that is completely straight. And yes, the cheaper the houses cost, the more drugs are sold right outside and the more cops are called.

well to be honest, I'm not from Carcas I'm from Maracaibo a different state, and truly Petare and Caracas even though they are in the same state, the ways of living are completely different. Being born in Caracas doesn't mean you feel comfortable in Petare. Is like a city person going to the rural side of the country, but instead of driving hours to get there it's like, a few kilometers down the city
You really a brave man,you just travel all over the world and experienced plenty things and met plenty people and i admire you being brave and courage to make adventure all over the world and through it you earned money on it.

Dharavi slum is very much safer than the cities with slums mentioned, many tourist regularly freely roam and click the daily life's, furthermore slum has so many entrepreneur, so many small scale industries and businesses which now exports their goods to Europe and many other countries..
Also, in day time also Dharavi slum is busy and always crowded..
Now with so many positive properties, why is it still a 'slum'? Shouldn't it be a proper town with people socially moving as well as having better opportunities (including women) and also toilets with running water and no caste system.
