I grew up in St. Louis. I am 15 years old and have moved further away thankfully but back when I was a kid, I went to school and came home everyday wanting to vomit from anxiety. We would have to evacuate our classrooms every other day because some kid would go insane and start stabbing kids. They were kids running home, getting arrested at school, choking and stabbing other kids and teachers, bringing guns to school, it was insane. Home was worse. Our neighbors had a meth lab in their basement and our dad was getting stalked by a gang member because my dad didn’t pay a drug dealer enough money for marijuana and our family was in danger. Crazy old times. That was 7-8 years ago. My life is better now. I live in the country and it’s so much safer. I could never imagine going back.

These are good, but don't compare it to mainstream news. A two year old could give better, more honest coverage than the mainstream news outlets. Just like our politicians, the news is all owned by the corporations that run this country. It is all completely biased. The fact that anyone takes them seriously at all anymore is pretty sad. Our media, schools, government, and politicians among much, much more is 100% owned by a small group of very wealthy and powerful people. It's scary, honestly.

@@kingpotent3950 what does being foreign have to do with being a gangster?
We have plenty of gangs born and raised here in America, it’s not like we only have foreign gangs here
My dad was a well-known cop/detective in the worst neighborhood in America in the 1960s and 1970s, which was in St. Louis, and made the cover of the Saturday Evening Post in an article about it in 1969, with a follow-up article 10 years later. I'm not sure if this is that particular neighborhood or not. He had stories that would stand my hair on end. Sometimes I can't believe he lived to tell about it. It was like the wild west, urban style.
My uncle was NYPD, actually many were, but the one I knew the best walked a beat in Harlem. He is now passed, but the stories he told were scary. Cops took the law into their own hands often. My grandfather and 5 of his 6 brothers joined NYPD in the 1920’s. My guess is I have more relatives who served on NYPD, with my last name, than any other family. When I was a kid about 12-13, my grandfather used to say, “ if you become a cop, I’ll break both ya legs”. No joke. He looked exactly like the actor who played Eliot Ness.
“For real” is what I heard from his whole interview

When he asks the women at the gas station what they should do with the kids in gangs these days. You can see the difference in society. U can see the moms that know what's going on and the ones that don't take the time to see
Right. Missouri is a republican state. Most white people want nothing to do with us or they wanna take advantage of us. They are extremely prejudice. They won't take the time to look outside of themselves, and if you come across one that does half of the time, they're not from Stl. And those prejudice people are all through our schools and boards. Our school system is trash in Stl, at least for black kids. Speaking as a previous north county student. It's terrible, can't wait to bring the love back home.

not only that but it’s all ab revenge now as soon as someone commits murder the person they killed circle is gonna wanna kill.. it will never end
@@Danger-yl9my exactly
It's way deeper than that ngl it's more so been ignored rather than normalized and when it's recognized it's usually glorified by people who don't live in these type of environments, culture CAN be a problem but even with that you have to dig deeper, like where did this culture come from and why/when did it become associated with black americans, just saying its the culture is just lazy and can be harmful as most people interpret that as "black american culture in general is bad" which is ignorant because our culture is seen in many places outside of these communities and things don't go nearly as bad for them as our culture has always been more than murder. The problems with our community are complex and complex issues require complex solutions most of the time. I believe funding the education systems, working to better the US rehabilitation systems and providing more mental health resources as there's a lot of mental illness in our community that gets brushed off, there's plenty more solutions that are needed to actually help the community but those were just some ways I believe will push the community forward. trust me it makes me too sad to see my people in this condition and I want shit to get done fuck that blame game shit because the government already knows what's up its just up💯

While I understand the premise of the video, I wish more channels that went to any poverty/crime stricken city would go interview business owners or churchgoers. Hearing their stories and perspectives on their communities is valuable too. I’m from the STL area and I’ve visited North Side buisnesses and Churches (not often but I’ve done it) and met some wonderful people and I hate to think their stories are being lost.

Born and raised St. Louis and left back in 2014 to try to change my life. The street would’ve killed me to be honest everyone I knew was dying from ODs getting shot or committing suicide. Quick story: I knew this girl who is a prostitute who used to be my drug dealer until I was introduced to her boss. His name is red and had a few trap houses around St. Louis. One in particular was a little more secret and he liked it more to get away from his family, that’s the main one I would normally meet him. One day I met up with him there for business but this time he seemed a little more on edge, and wanted me to leave right away. I left not thinking of anything of it and said I’d meet up with him later. I found out they broke into the house and shot him and robbed him the same day I went there. It was about an hour after I left.

Our God indeed is a covenant keeping God. Has he said a thing and not perform it? I watch how things unfold in my life, from penury to $155,000 every three months and I can only praise him and trust him more. Hallelujah 🙏😊

I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of RUclips videos about it, I still find it hard to understand.
I know that woman (Maria Angelina Alexander) If you were born and raised in new York you'd know too, she's my family's Broker for 3yrs till now and a very good one if you asked me.
ive lived in st louis my whole life, still living here, grew up in the hood. and its sad to hear how many shootings go on every night #STOPGANGVIOLENCE
Tommy G romanticizes this stuff by having these dudes on. There's nothing 'cool' about what these guys do, and they get a pass for it because they're black. I hate to see this type of stuff being promoted by this guy.

Born here, raised here, moved away for a period of time and have been back since 19. It sucks. It’s dangerous AF, the weather is horrendous, it legitimately gets worse day by day. Sad. Downtown has been dead for a while now, resources go to the county.
I always laugh at these people taking about how dangerous some parts of America is ….. the worst Places in America would be paradise compared to the places like Gaza Strip for example a 10 year old girl from gaza seen much worse then any fake gangsters in America these same “ gangsters” wouldn’t last 1 day in Gaza
I was born and have lived in St. Louis my entire life (I’m 28) and it really isn’t has bad as people make it out to be, as long as you mind your own business, don’t post up at stupid locations, and just pay attention to your surroundings you will be fine. I was just riding my motorcycle thru these neighborhoods literally yesterday on my way to a big event at the graffiti wall and everyone is always cool
It’s always like that but it’s just you can end up in the middle of a random shootout and lose your life.
Why didn't u stop and hangout for awhile 😂
Yea your whole comment is literally what someone who lives in a shit city would say because they’re in denial that rapper said parents should teach their kids at ANY AGE to use guns BUT ACCORDING TO YOU “it ain’t that bad” man stfu 🤬
St. Louise murder and crime Statistics and data don’t lie though man.
Aka don’t go to the hood🤣🤣
I grew up in south St. Louis. I didn't even realize how dangerous it was until I moved away
Tommy G finally getting the recognition he deserved years ago
I left st louis some years ago. I grew up in the north side. I've seen some crazy shit man, I remember when i was little falling asleep everynight to gunfire and the sounds of the women living above us getting beat by her bf. Seen people pass and all that. I'm 25 and live in a different state now but st louis made me who i am today. I've been though hell and back a few times but i'll never lay down. I'm blessed to be from the trenches and im happy i went through those hardships growing up. The games on easy mode now.
Good luck on your journey Noah. I've been seeing all videos for literally decade and a half. Times fly. Keep doing what you doing Roman. Smile more, embrace the world 😊
what? 😂
I’m impressed how Tommy can code switch and acclimate to the energy and environment of his “guests”- to comfortably ask the right questions; him and his crew are talented & skilled
Out of everyone he talked to about what could be done to fix the city, not a single person mentioned strengthening the family and bringing dad back in the home
Just how might we incentivize dad to act in an adult and responsible manner? The only thing we can do to fix any of this is to pay police officers more, thereby attracting a more skilled employment base. You can only recruit as well as you are willing to pay.
And just how will bringing back daddy dearest to meet Jamal the gangster help? The man has a 50+ body count and hes a hardened criminal.
My suggestion? Target the heart of the corruption. The feds already have a loooong list of people to work with. Start there. APCs, breaching teams, public executions (just to really get the point across)
If the government wanted to they could've solved this issue 12 times over by now. But they dont. Because its all by design
i understand this but tbh most of these dads hella abusive or neglectful and should not be in their families homes 💔
it’s the women who chose to have kids with these guys

From the brief time I was in the "Lou", I found a great deal of urban blight, lots of abandoned houses, burned out buildings, extreme poverty. I haven't see that even in that level in Detroit, Chicago, Oakland, New Orleans, or Memphis.
come through kc
You do know what a Lou is right? A place to shit 😂
Its not the poverty
@@citymadecammonah i’m from the town/816. 60’s to be specific and kc fasholy is active. but kc looks a lot cleaner in general and that’s mainly due to the fact we have a better economy and are a city with more money. it goes down in the town but stl as a city is incredibly poor as hell and the city doesn’t clean up shit over there. even here in kc we still somewhat take care of our hoods. but for sure tommy needs to come back and tap in with the real kansas citians, he did a video in the town but was with some out of towner from memphis 👎🏽
Chicago is too clean and nice compared to its neighbors. Idk why people are so scared of us. Legit its one of the best cities in the world. You can see the wealth even down into the hoods. You'll never see a Rolls Royce and G Wagon Amgs rolling through them other Midwest hoods like they do in Chicago. Chicago gets money. People beef over gangs and to solve personal problem, not over poverty. Someone even in a 200k G Wagon will murk you in Chicago if you do them wrong
Nah bro that ending with the shots actually scared the hell out of me 🤣🤣
Loved this one bro
Honestly being from STL I notice that wherever I’m at in this world I’m always aware of my surroundings and on point.
I served 6 years active duty and even overseas the same instincts were on point. At this age I realize it’s 100% due to being from here.
as you should, you can js be at the wrong place not even doing sum wrong to get shot
living an hour away and going there passing through often makes it really not seem so bad until you see big guys like tommy g make videos like this
Yeah you driving thru but its all in the neighborhoods of St Louis City
Yeh being an hour away from some dangerous place can be scary 🤣😅🤣😂 an hour of driving shit that must be nerve shredding .

I'm from Missouri, the majority of the people here are humble no matter their lifestyle. Loyalty and honor 100% mean something around here for sure, respect gets respected. Great video, I hope it opens the eyes of the ignorant people that never REALLY learn about a place and it's people. Keep up that positivity!
For sure, I'm southwest Missouri and everyone is mainly just rednecks living out in a rural area, other than Springfield crackheads
Can't say the same for the youngins tho
Truth. They aren't all bad, with 0 consequences from online actions that would not be accepted in real life though.. that's creating a big problem. Most are not mentally equipped to handle social situations face to face.
They are idolizing idiots and blaming their issues on heroes. It makes 0 sense. =(
This apply for Missouri not St. Louis cuz this back door city ain’t nomo loyalty💯
everyone says that about every city. lol
100% agree they should be teaching about gun safety in school, they used to back in the day, extremely helpful also teaches you they aren’t toys.
Why the fuck yall even have to do this?!? I live in switzerland and we got also sooo many guns (look up) and we never had mass shootings since 2001. Not the guns are problems its yall society, uncivilzed ppl who thinks a life qualifies steppin onna property...
People die more of gun suicide in the United States more than any other thing related to guns. We need better health care and mental health care before anything, and yes I’m from the Lou so I know.

nah i agree with heavy G on this one, as he said, the problem is with the kids having guns on them in the first place, if they didnt have it in the first place there wouldnt be any problems but good old capitalistic america that allows you to buy a gun within 10 minutes because its profitable

Never stop bro!!! Best documentaries ON THE PLATFORM for these subjects!!! Crazy that these places have the strictest gun control laws, gun control only hurts law abiding citizens!
You don’t know what you’re talking about. I live here, St Louis is very lax on gun laws because it is in a Republican state. St Louis has a shit ton of guns in both criminal and law abiding hands. It doesn’t make shit safer, all it guarantee’s is that any confrontation will result in somebody pulling a gun and someone getting shot and dying.
Open carry is legal and I’ve never felt safer seeing teenagers with guns 🥰
Exactly!
I'm confused - didn't he say they have the LEAST strict gun laws there? "You know in Missouri we got it good an easy"? at 17:16?
Ikr and they don’t even enforce them if they’re black
I lived in KC, MO and have been to East STL and can say that heaters are everywhere! People don't think it be like that in the Midwest but bangers be trigger happy. The problem is they mow the lawns but they do not use a weed wacker. Just a simply thing like that would make the area look less lost. The area needs move stores, and shopping areas. Opportunities starts with retail, and businesses. We will be looking further into this and see what we recommend for the next venues for this town.
Those places didn’t get like that out of nowhere, they allowed this to happen to there community. This kid legit said he would spent 1 million out of 10 million starting a gang to get more money cycling in. There is No ambition to help the community, or do things legit.
@@dyllenmccarver3947its not that simple. Yes people down there do make poor choices regarding lifestyle, but the government has a huge play here. With lack of funding in education, grocery stores, and retail business these people are doomed to stay there unless they educate themselves. So both parties have a play in it.
