@@shadehopper1332 Get a couple of extra batteries as the flight time is only about 16mins for each. Use 'Cinematic Mode' for slightly smoother shots, shoot 30fps 4k in M mode set ISO 100, Shutter 60 Use ND filters.. well you have to in order to shoot those settings I listed. These are fine : amzn.to/2XdZf9N
I edited this on Adobe Premiere CC, it's a premium software but you gotta start somewhere, may as-well jump in the deep end if you can get a copy of it. Cheers

Awesome video, I really enjoyed it! I am currently traveling Indonesia and got a Mavic Air with me. I can't fly further then plusminus 120 meters, but you obviously did. How can I make sure I got that good connection aswell?
You mean distance or height? height never higher than 400ft 120m. Good connection... depends on local interference the app will find the best channels.
As always, very well done! I'm curious as to why you didn't shoot this with the Inspire 2.
We don't get out to places like this very often so one must weigh the advantages of portability vs. image quality.
Hi mate cheers!. Well I sold both Inspire 2's as was having problems with both craft, I was just unlucky DJI do make great stuff. IMO You'll never want to backpack Thailand or SE Asia with an Inspire 2 just way too much hassle. Mavic Air is ideal, Phantom 4 Pro would've been nice for better image quality but the Air's is still decent. Definitely miss that ProRES but with newer drones coming out every year it wont be too long until better sensors and lens options for the smaller crafts. My ideal drone would be Mavic Pro size with ProRes capabilities one day.

Thanks Andres! Range very good if at beach or island it seemed like it could go on for several KM's. However I did find when in a built up town or near telecommunications mast the video signal would suffer quite a bit and signal would drop out.

Amazing!!! As always well flown and edited. Btw in my air I find image to be a little soft, lacking definition no matter the adjustments. Need to find out... 🤔
Thanks! Which part of the image soft on yours? I think part of my images are soft in the centre-right area which is odd, everything else seems sharp.
Man And Drone mmm I’ll try to find out if it’s blurry in a concrete area. It’s more like a general sensation when comparing the footage with the phantom... ;)

Fantastic video! I’m deciding wether to buy ND filters for my Air. Do you always use them, or in slow long takes like in your videos, the difference between a 1/60 and a 1/500 speed is not noticeable? Thank you!
Thanks Pavlos! Yes I recommend them, as if you're shooting over water the ND / Polarizers will help when it's sunny or very sunny. They can also help reduce haze and add a better overall image tone. The shutter speed at 1/60th is to allow a 'easy on the eye' feel & look compared to 1/500th which would be more noticeably video like and sharper movement. Will do some videos on this soon. I use my cpls a lot for my stills photography, but I find the cpl sometimes gives a yellowish tint to the footage and since I'm just starting at drone flying and editing (Hitfilm), I would rather not have to post process too much. Also, I just read your description up here and you consider using the 1/120 speed as a multiple of the 60 fps footage. Is that it? 😀
No problem. I was forced to use 120 Shutter on 4K 30 fps as conditions were too bright for my ND 16 filter in some scenes. If I had an ND32 then I probably would've used that to achieve Shutter 1/60 producing the correct exposure. As of this week I now own a set of filters which have ND32 and ND64 - review coming soon.
Which brand CPL do you own? The tints will vary company to company but are easy to correct in RAW workflow.

Hi Morgan it was 30fps. All other technical data in video description too, cheers.
Is there any reason you don't film in the "cinematic" 24fps?
I use 30fps mainly because it looks much smoother than 24, and I feel I can still convey a cinematic feel to my audience. The other reason is that I sell footage to media companies and nearly all require 30fps. We can convert 24fps to 30fps but the software will always be adding those frames using existing frames.
