Mini 2 SE is a good price point for a first drone ($339). It's not 4k video but that doesn't matter. Pictures are still 12MP: 4kx3k. You're not buying this because it's amazing; you're buying it because you don't have the money for a mini 3 Pro :D

@@ax2643 I ended up upgrading pretty quick, but I picked up the mini 2 SE for my daughter. In her case, I wasn't going to buy her amazon junk but also wasn't going to spend a grand. Shes having a blast and getting some great pics with the mini 2 SE. 😆

Still frames can be taken from videos. Better pics, perhaps.
Comparison: 4K / 2.7K. There is very little difference for normal viewing. 2.7K is very good for family and general photography.
If there is need for quality res. stills, then $$$ +++ must be spent.
However, editing can enhance res. / Even 720p = enhanced to 4K
With videos, the images move too fast to notice difference.
+ Batteries are cheaper/ plentiful, [mini 2], so no need for one expensive, and not that much longer lasting, heavier battery.
New drone SE will have many years of updates.
Older drones are borderline, [mini 2], end of production

As with digital cameras and resolution in video, Imo I believe the naked eye can’t see that much difference, if any. It seems to be a sales pitch. Which costs more money which isn’t necessary. Unless you are a professional.
Although it may not be much different on a small screen it will be a bigger difference viewing video on a 50 inch tv or a iPad Pro .

So basically the difference between the 2 se and the 2 is that the 2 is 4k and the 2 se is 2.7k?
Mini 2 video is 2.7k60 while Mini 2 SE is 2.7k30

Questions I have that I can't find the answers for anywhere and everyone should be asking.
1- Which one has better reception for long distance?
2-Which one has longer battery life?
3- which one is faster?
4- Which one has a higher maximum altitude?
5- which one has better wind resistance?
5- Do they use the same batteries and controllers and are they interchangeable?
6- Which one can carry a heavier payload?
7- Is the camera the only difference?

Now I'm consuded but I do think it has Occusync 2 after doing a little bit of research. I could be wrong, but I bought one regardlessly @@MrRunItUp
But.. Mini2 is encountering alot of technical and software issues lately.

The bad thing about making this mini 2 se is they cut off some of the features just to be affordable for consumers but they are going the wrong way. Instead make a better one than the mini 2 and sell their previous mini 2 in a affordable price right? People are not stupid, who wants to buy a piece of technology that is going backwards just to make it affordable for everyone?
Basically the only difference is that it’s not 4k

The mini 2 has mini 2 text on the arms and the mini 2 se also has the text on the arms
Thanks! I found out that the regular 2 has 4k written on the camera front. The 2se has 2,7k text..
Mini 2 has active tracking, the Mini 2 SE has none.

I live in Norway, they have prices the Mini 2 SE same price as the Mini 2..... they are both for 600$ flymore combo... Dont know who would buy the SE 2 over a Mini 2....

Could it be that the SE has 60 fps vs 30 fps of the 2? Also Not everyone has 4k to view the 4k resolution. Many are still watching videos with 1080. Also the SE is @ 100.00 less expensive

@@thecupcakeman69the only main difference is the mini 2 se doesn’t do 4K. Everything else is pretty similar.

The big difference is that se mini doesn't have Occusync 2.0 system.
It uses wifi to transmit.

No that is the MINI SE ...this video is about the MINI 2 SE and the MINI 2 which both offer occusync the older MINI SE as u said did not

@MrRunItUp yes. It's a greater starter. Make sure u get the insurance on your drone. As a beginner I went through 3 withing 3months. Never been more thankful to have insurance insurance in my life. 😊

I bought a used but in good condition DJI Mini 2 with the Fly More Combo pack por €450...
If I'm not wrong, what I spent is more or less the same price as the Fly More Combo pack of the DJI Mini 2 SE sold in the manufacturer's online store.
