Tab already has this for their pipes. They have z rings with torque cones. They mount to the end of the pipe and look a hell of a lot nicer. No drilling no pulling apart.
Torque Cones do not produce any significant increase in low or mid range torque. The theory seems good, but we have done extensive testing and have not seen any design that gives a measurable benefit. With the Thunder Torque Inserts™ there are thousands of folks using them, posting how good they are on the forums, making videos, etc. You can look at reviews by clicking the "reviews" tab at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/thunder-torque-inserts-158-model-family-dk-tti-158.htm And you can see a lot of videos of folks that have installed them at this link- ruclips.net/p/PLb3bvZgbH92-y9LGItkUD9O2fFo3-gtVl Always feel free to email or call with any questions: Support@DKCustomProducts.com 662-252-8828 Thanks for commenting! Like that they bolt to the baffle. Fell a lot better knowing I don’t have to drill my exhaust and that if I don’t like I can remove the it and the hole won’t be seen. Was considering the torque cone but not much info out there to go on besides that they whistle while riding
Thanks for looking at our video and parts! 👍 Yes, as you can see, on some set ups they can be mounted to the baffle, not to the actual slip-on shell. I have the same exhaust on my road glide. So I need the 118 LT? Did this on a V/H monster years ago before you had the longer thread and I absolutely loved it! Way better sound and the low end torque was amazing!
Yes, you will need the same TTI if you have the same exhaust and want to center the TTI. You can see the TTI's at this link -www.dkcustomproducts.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=thunder+torque+inserts You will have to scroll down to the fitment notes to find the link for the Long Thread TTI's. If you are leaving the baffle in I would not install the 258 into the baffle unless you get the Long Thread TTI and install it into the baffle and the exhaust. It would require you making two holes but the baffle material is not strong enough to support the 258 TTI by itself. Glad to help! Thank you for commenting! MB
Yes it would be a similar install. You will get the most power with just the Thunder Torques Inserts™ installed. But I would try it both ways and see which sound you like best, and how you like the power each way. Thank you for looking at our parts. KP
What is too loud for one person is too quiet for the next. Impossible to say. We have a video, linked below, that should help choosing the right exhaust for YOU. We can say that the best power out of a slip on is the stock slip-ons, with the baffles removed and TTI's installed. Either way will work for an increase in torque. 99% of the time, removing as much restriction, such as the baffles, as possible and using only the TTI will produce the most power. To determine the correct size TTI you would need to measure the inside diameter of the baffle or the slip on, which ever you choose to install the TTI into. Which size TTI would performance best in a 4 inch Rush big Louie mufflers with 2.5 inch louvered core baffles? I currently have the 258's which I had ran previously with no baffles., and now running 2.25 baffles, bike performance is good , but I want a more desirable bark from 2.5 baffle.
A much better option would be the 158 installed into the baffle. I think you will be happy with the sound and performance with that option. The 258 will not fit into your baffle so that is not even an option. Thanks for commenting! MB😎
The TTI's are for reducing reversion and deepening the tone. It doesn't do so much with sound as it does for increasing the low-mid range torque that you lose with the bigger exhaust. So I just did a stage 2 to my 23 limited. Full tab exhaust with zombie baffles. Very loud. Will these screw up the tune?
Glad you asked cuz i did the same as well and curious about it as well
NO! The thunder torques will not mess up your tune. You can install them without retuning!
