This is Awesome!! Don't let any body drag you down! The people saying "it looks like crap" cant respect the time and effort put into this. Not to mention they are fools thinking you ruined this. You did not!! People make mods and reiterate things all the time. Take skyrim for example. Tons of mods that make it look way better and not a single negative thing came out of those. Again, awesome work!! Love the models and textures!!
Thank you so much for motivating me more🙏 ❤️ love your coment so much
Have you heard of toxic positivity? That's what you and like-minded individuals are doing. If you do nothing but praise someone they will never improve on their mistakes. Criticism is needed for improvement. If you can't handle criticism then you will not go far in life. What you are doing is harmful not helpful. Sure praise is wonderful but if there's something I need to improve on I want to know and not be blindly praised for continuing to make mistakes. Criticism is good not bad
@@ZombifiedBuizel nothing is false from your post but explain me how i should improve when i get coments like ‚this looks bad‘ without telling why and giving any adivce. Im not sure if you are a follower or not but im taking criticism seriously and always hearing what the community wants.
@@cryzenx. I never said all critcism is good. I'm saying it shouldn't be ignored like OP is suggesting. I hate when people say that. When it has substance and meaning don't ignore it but when it's vague like the examples you gave then yeah it means nothing.
@ZombifiedBuizel I think you have some things wrong there. You're not entirely wrong and not entirely right. If you're saying that giving someone a "good job" is wrong? Then you definitely got a screw lose. There is nothing wrong with giving praise to someone. Because that too can motivate someone to do better. Giving someone a harsh critic can literally put someone down. Have you ever heard the term "you are your own worst critic"? Of coarse everybody knows there is room for improvement. Whether it is improvement on themselves, their looks or whatever. If a person can not recognize a self need for improvement, they are delusional! Think about that? Let's give a simple example. You're playing catch with a little kid. The kid can not catch the ball to save his life. Are you going to say that he is "trash"?
"A sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage" -Hero's Shade.
Link certainly has courage here.
And a stick!
It's so depressing that Ocarina Link became the Hero's Shade
Fitting how this quote was from what Link eventually became
This is why every sword breaks in botw
@@sagereef sassy?
I love how Navi works like a torch in the darker areas, it gives her actual utility.
Lol true
She already has utility... Locking on

I always wondered why the first 3D Zelda games had such dark atmospheres compared to the earlier 2D ones.
Nothing in MM is even close to Dead Hand in terms of scary and creepy.
@@Nutty151 i am without a doubt certain the devs were reading Berserk at the time

@@googleuser4720 How about you do better then.
@@googleuser4720 And exactly what is that spirit, good sir?
@Google User if anything this captures and intensifies the dark history the sheikah have with hyrule. The spirit of the zelda series is adventure, exploration, puzzles, problem solving, and childlike curiosity. This has that combined with fear.
@Google User
Nah. It looks amazing. And until you or someone else does better, I refuse to take your comment seriously.
The twitching to the redeads was also nice. Felt very Resident evil

Hey listen" . Gets me every time.
I'm 39 years old and I swear that these graphics, sounds, and visuals are exactly how my brain remembers Ocarina of Time for the first time playing way back when. LOL! Then you play it today and you're like "oh..." If the game actually looked like THIS when I was a kid, I would have NOPED my N64 into a wall.
actually the very last sentence made me laugh XD thanks again
Same. I still remember when I got this when it came out. I pretended to be sick for like 2 days after Christmas vacation so I could play it more. There was absolutely nothing like it back then. Even to this day I'm hard pressed to find a game that invokes that same sense of mystery. Witcher 3 is the only game that got close... but hopefully Nintendo got Tears of the Kingdom right. It'd be cool to have that creepy feeling when playing Zelda again
Also 39 - us "Geriatric Millennials" need to stick together, brother! If only I could go back to 1998 and experience this game again for the first time...but this version certainly is the next best thing!
Music, lighting, setting, and the unknown creates a wonderful impactful atmosphere and mood if done correctly. This game had that spades
@@googleuser4720 I don't agree - but I think the audio is not very good quality in this clip.
There was something divinely magical about playing a song to teleport you from such horrible places to a less scary one like the lake for example. As a kid, I remember feeling link's exhaustion (imagined of course, but very real to me) and thinking "he's been through so much, he needs a break" and then going to ride Epona for half an hour in the plaines to chill :)
To me it was Link. You could see the force in his eyes. He would take those clowns down and loot their little well empty
Yoo I would do the same shit as a kid 🤣 like here go be a child for a bit
Same here! Anytime I completed an area that terrified me, I'd take Link to Lon Lon ranch or some other happy, peaceful place. 😆
Absolute nightmare fuel. Dead hand creeped the hellout of me as a kid and this evoked the same "holy shit wtf" feeling as back then. Major props.
I wish we could have a modern day Zelda that had enemies like this. BotW was a good game but I miss fighting re-deads, dead hand, iron knuckles, the hand in the forest temple and of course that final fight with Ganon. The enemies in games today don't invoke the same sense of courage I felt as a kid when I overcame my fear of places like the well. I'll never forget my little brother crying in terror whilst he watched me play this part of the game.
same , the feeling is absolutly gone and hope they make it better in the next botw.
i can imagine how it was for you and it was definitly the same for me aswell
absolutly terrifying
Glad I'm not the only one that thought this. BOTW is an amazing game in totally different ways, but It is really missing the the feeling of the dungeons from OOT. 120 shrines + 5 small feeling dungeons can't compete with oot dungeons and bosses.
From what I saw from the new trailer, we are getting a new version of Redeads in TotK at least.
@ニンフィア oh yes...I hope they are scary and will make you stun yourself when they scream
Zelda has had original enemies that have transcended every story. BoTW really stepped out of the bounds in that regard. Most other Zelda games almost had a slight horror aspect to some of the enemies, which I miss.
One thing I would have recommended is instead of having the fire sounds each independent sources, have them all just one source, which increases in volume when Link is near a lit torch. That way, there isn’t a lot of over crackling in the ear. Should help with a little bit of performance as well.
That as well as make the light flickering less intense for people sensitive to flashing lights
@@soulofresolve9514 exactly thought the same!
Even though I'm in my late 20's, the Bottom of the Well still makes me extremely nervous and my heart feels like it's racing. Not only did you capture the complete horror experience from the place, you upped it by 1000%, making it a truly unforgettable watching experience.
It's honestly perfection and gosh, that Dead Hand model is insane!
Except for the music. It did have the original music but the fight music takes all the tension out. The reason they had it the way it was is because you had this tension built up from the constant unearthly drone and then you had to fight this creepy monster and the fast paced urgent tempo of the original music never got rid of that uneasiness. It kept you feeling desperate. The battle music they used here took that away. Overall it is amazing though.
The Bottom of the Well really drives home the concept of why Link is a hero: he's willing to walk into these terrifying situations to save the day, even as a child. There's a lot to admire there.
This looks simply incredible! Thank you so much for your hard work 🙏🏻

Incredible work. So many little touches that make Link more alive, from his struggling against the ReDeads and the screaming when a hand catches him. You nailed the horror of this area, in this little demo. Well done!
That battle with DeadHand you made here may be the single best Zelda fan creation thing i've seen other than that Majora's Mask short someone made years back. This was amazing and i mean it made my chest fill up cause it was truely epic in soooo many ways. This kind of stuff proves why this game not only needs to be remade like you're doing, but also needs a movie with a vibe just like you're giving it. Keep going this is perfection.
If this is how scary he made the bottom of the well, I can’t even imagine what he’s gonna do to the shadow temple. Imma cry myself to sleep after that vid.
I can't wait man that's one of my favourite stages.
i would like to see some new abilitys on monsters and bosses that would make this game better. the old game was cool but sometimes a bit static about monsterskills and so. The grafic is good, maybe a bit more smother but i guess its only a matter of time so i like it ;D.
I remember how scary Dead Hand was in the original, but totally lost its fear factor in the 3DS remake, and you just managed to make it even more scarier than in the original! Love your work! 👏🏽 👏🏽
I agree, the Dead Hand was much scarier on the N64. The lighting and overall ambience was darker, whereas the 3DS remake brightened everything up and made him move a bit too fluidly.
Didn’t stop 12 year old me from throwing his 2ds at the wall out of fear.
This part scared me off the game entirely when I was little. Now this, this right here could make Resident Evil fans sweat haha. Truly terrifying, it's great work.

One change I don’t like is changing navi’s dialogue at the beginning.
Her echoing what the unseen spirits are whispering to link trying to get him out safely from this hellhole is far creepier.
Also
“That is what they are saying…”
After every line made every dialogue unnerving since she can hear the whispers of the dead and you can’t
By Din, Nayru, and Farore.... My friend, you have turned one of the scariest dungeons in Zelda history into a literal descent into Hell... and I love you for it! I cannot wait to see more of your amazing work! You have totally transformed one of my most cherished childhood games while still invoking that nostalgia! If only Nintendo could see this and recognize your talent!
Holy crap, that looks fantastic!
Not only is it gorgeous to look at, but it still gives off that claustrophobic vibe that "bottom of the well" had in the original, as well as feeling like a Zelda game, through and through. Amazing job man, kudos.
I love the fact Link’s face shows fear, since after all, he’s still a kid, and it really sells the fear even more when Navi speaks about the danger and seeing the skeleton with blood splattered all over
Being a huge Ocarina of Time fan, I feel like this would sell like crazy on the Switch cause of the nostalgia and the fact you made this so incredibly awesome! ❤
Yes because the switch can run Unreal Engine games.
Even though it can barely run software dedicated to it, like actual Zelda games.

I love how Link looks SCARED lol. I don’t remember him animating like that in N64 version. But that dungeon scares me as a 39 year old…. You have fine mind blowing work dude
I like how scared link actually looks makes it more realistic in this setting ! Your version looks amazing !
Holy sh*t this is insane. I'm not generally a horror person but this is incredible, the lighting and the sound effects... the blood... and Link's bloody face, it really comes together
The Dead Hand is impressive, I like how you took inspiration from the official artwork where it has dozens upon dozens of disembodied hands, rather than the four or six we saw on N64 OoT.
I think it would be cool if the Dead Hand's animation involved it shuffling its grotesque mass through the dirt to show that its bound to the ground, not that the animation is bad or anything, far from it!
However, as it speeds up during the fight, I'd recommend changing the shuffling animation to something more aggressive or desperate. The current animation paired with the exaggerated speed makes it look a little silly towards the end.
Thank you CryZen for putting my childhood nightmares into a whole new terrifying light! :)
Hey you actually gave me some new ideas, you think crawling would be a good idea too ? Also when dead hand is dead, should he jump at you once again when you want to kill him once for all ? XD that jumpscare would be scary

great job, the lighting effects, the creature design, everything. It was one of the scariest parts of the original game, I was 11 years old when I saved Hyrule in Christmas 1998.
It's just insane you make this all by yourself for so many years, and it keeps growing to look more and more beutiful.

The redeads being lit up by Navi was super cool to see. Was scary enough as a kid let alone in URE5! Too many skulls though 💀💀

It looks like crap honestly, despite the high fidelity. The art style was completely lost in translation here, and Link in particular heavily clashes with the realistic style environment.
0:17 yeah Link I’d be scared going into the bottom of a well linked to the shadow temple as a 10 year old too.
This send me rocketing back to my childhood, playing OoT on an old TV that was super dark (the kind of TV with no brightness control so "shadowy and dim" was pitch black). I remember being scared to death of the Bottom of the Wheel (literal nightmares of that place) and Navi being my only light and indication of what was there and what I needed to do. I love that fairy to this day for being there for me and Link during those days.
Seriously, I would absolutely play this as a full game.
Even the body language on Link and the mix of fear but pushing forward anyways, the shit he had to go through because some "goddess" thought it was a good idea to make an actual kid a "hero", putting the weight of the world on a child.
Awesome work, fam, I hope to see more soon!
You might've heard this a thousand times already, but this is an amazing TREASURE. For gaming's history, for the community, formed by each of our hearts that keeps this game deeply cherished. You're simply incredible, because you put your skills and passion into a transcendental, valuable work of art!
Absolutely love. I loved that Link actually looked scared. That small detail shows that having courage doesn’t mean you’re not frightened.
The Bottom Of The Well was everything I hoped it would be. The skeletons and bones, the fact that it was so dark and suffocating. I could almost feel the damp tepid air and smell the metallic stench of old blood and soil. The way I screamed out loud when Dead Hand opened his mouth to bite you! 😅😅 Excellent work.
I love how brave Link is but you can't help but feel for how scared he is. Poor little guy.
Remember kids, that's *true* bravery!

I like how you have the mouth attacking from multiple angles. It's a lot more visceral than if he used the same bite animation over and over. It kinda shows that he's testing different methods to find the most effective way to swallow him. A tip, though: make Link scream less. Maybe put a 20% RNG effect for him to scream if he gets grabbed.
The gasp I did when I saw that Skulltula was very real. This gave me genuine chills, what a great video.
Mission complet i guess xD thank you !
You not only made Dead Hand creepier, but you also gave him hair! You really did my favorite miniboss and bottom of the well justice! I know this will make me sound like a psychopath, but love the detail of the spattered blood on Link's clothes, the walls, and floors, and the countless skeletons littered all over the place! Do you plan on recreating the entire Shadow Temple too?
Woahh, this is actually how I saw the game with my 8years old eyes back then, you did such an amazing job, I hope your remake will come out and we will have the honor to play it. You truly kept the real frightning ambience of the game and made it even more intense! Keep going! I am impressed !!! Never thought will experience this in my lifetime! Somethng Nintendo failed so hard afterwards same. Metroid and Zelda were the best games for Nintendo.
No other Zelda games will come remotely close to the creativity and effort put into the enemies, music, and atmosphere that OOT and MM have. Still the best Zelda games to this day.
Yep
Indeed. I really enjoyed Totk and most Zeldas after. But OoT and MM just have something special about them. Even when I play them now as a man in his 30's, they still give me that giddy sense of joy I had as a kid.
Twilight Princess *COUGH COUGH*
Damn, this looks AMAZING! I love the expressions that you gave Link. Like a sort of scared but pensive idle expression, and his idle pose in such a scary place was spot on! And then his in-combat determined or resolved expression was *chefs kiss*. This entire dungeon and the fight were exactly what it felt like as a kid. You recreated it as it was meant to be perfectly. I was even looking around those corners waiting for those floating skull things. And then the mini boss music bumped off and I was like "WHOA okay! :D"
I really like how you made Dead Hand’s wiggling look really twitchy, almost like stop-motion animation. Not sure the boss theme remix really works, but overall this looks really good!

God I love this so much, this is exactly how my brain remembers it, or at least how I thought it looked in the original. Only thing I can comment on here is that the light flickering makes my head hurt, but other than that, it's truly masterfully done
The first time I reached the bottom of the well in the actual game the two biggest questions I had were: Why is there a torture chamber down here? Also how is no one sick with the walking dead living in the village's drinking water?
Yeah, super gross and dreadful, I mean, what really horrified me is the shrieking, that's a bomb
So what did you think of returning to the village after 7 years to see the well completely drained?
I remember being horrified of re-deads when I was younger, but if I saw this dead hand, I can only imagine just how scared it would make me! This is amazing, keep up the great work! 👍

This thing scared the hell out of me as a kid. I had nightmares for a while, then the movie deadbirds came out which had a similar creature in it and I freaked out. This is for me the most horrifying part of the game aside from the invisible ceiling grabber. The details in this brings that horror to a while new level. Amazing job dearie.
From the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be an animated short like the one from majoras mask "You've met a terrible fate, haven't you?", but this beeing something playable is crazy.
check out my latest video, will blow your mind too :)
this truly embodies the INFINITE courage young Link showed.. complete fearlessness in the faces of true evil.. he never asked for any of this. An absolute hero.. truly.
to the creator this is beyond great work. you've bought so much depth to the bottom of the well for me (no pun intended) this shxt is wild..
I think it wouldn't be too playable I think you need the light to bounce at least twice, or somehow have Navi's shadows not be too harsh. The harsh shadows from navi are unpredictably reducing visibility.
Everything else looks incredible and accurate, great work!
I agree. It's almost pitch black at points. The lighting needs to be reworked, but other than that, it looks awesome!
Wow that is really amazing, I grew up with OOT and it's still my number 1 game of all time. I can tell you put a tonne of effort and hard work into this liked and subbed, keep up the amazing work bro!
thank you so much for your coment, i definitly wont dissapoint you in the future, i have still alot to show :)
Maaaaan! I remember playing this as a kid and being upset by the gruesome catacombs underneath the windmill, but this is another level of creepy. Well done!
Damn, this *PERFECTLY* captures the bottom of the well: eerie, dark, and full of horror. By dark, I am not just talking about just the absence of light, but thematically dark as well. This may sound like a cognitive-dissonance, but you did a beautiful work of art with this game in general!
I love that the low health warning was a slow, ominous heartbeat here. I do feel like the music and sounds could be muffled during this to emphasize how dangerous things are getting for Link. Aside from that, this looks amazing!
When he got down to half a heart and started running about looking for hearts and got grabbed by the hand with the camera angle and room going dark. That was peak horror. I can feel the panic. Starting at 14:38
Wow! I've always considered Dead Hand to be the most horrific/nightmarish creature from all the Zelda games personally, and that's an impressive feat considering it's a series that's jam-packed with monsters that made the games very difficult to play through growing up, just from the fear they instilled. I'm a fair bit older now and things of a 'horror'-like vibe rarely get a fright out of me anymore, but you added a whole new level of creep to the bottom of the well and made Dead Hand look precisely how my child self saw it, if not a whole lot worse! This would look right at home in the Dark Souls games, and would probably even be one of the scarier things to face in those games too!
This just makes me really hope they bring the Dead Hand back as an enemy in TotK since they do seem to be going for a darker atmosphere. The whole underground area could be home to some of the darker-themed enemies of the series such as Dead Hand, redeads, wallmasters, skulltulas etc.
funnily enough, games that aren't necessarily horror that have horror elements scare me more than horror games, mainly because with a horror game i know what i'm walking into. but when it comes from nowhere it really does get the heart racing
I didn't realize how much of the game part is a work in progress. There is so much jank, but it's definitely interesting to see it being worked on.
I will have to admit, the presentation there is amazing, and seeing the redead's only lit by Navi is absolutely freaky.
My 3 childhood nightmares although I don't see the hand that fell from above, well done, you have revived my nightmares hahaha, it has been great for you!
Oh, dude, if the bottom of the well was THIS dark and bloody, no one would have finished the game without soiling themselves, nicely done.
This was INCREDIBLE!
Zelda just went from being rated E to rated M for being SO scary and I LOVE IT!
I thought it was so freaky the way the ReDeads heads were twitching, and they looked so grotesque!
But Dead Hand absolutely took the cake for being the freakiest thing in this video! It truly seemed to be some forgotten monstrosity that slew any that was unfortunate enough to wander into its lair.
This was almost (not quite, but almost) too dark for me, emotionally speaking. Still, amazing work. I'm really surprised the big N hasn't taken your work down. I hope they're taking notes because you're stuff is exactly what fans want in an OOT remake.
This looks amazing ..imagine what shadow temple will look like..just love the expression on link's face that uneasy feeling
Great job at making the bottom of the well absolutely horrifying! Hearing the groan of the ReDeads far off in the distance and darkness is the stuff of nightmares. I'd actually dread having to come down here, in a good way!
Good job frist video i watch of yours you captured the very feeling i got with this level as a kid and dead hand, the spiders and redead send chills up my spine
Ever since I first saw the unreal engine Zelda, IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE DEAD HAND, THIS IS AWESOME 💥💥💥
wish has been granted, i would say xD
This really shows how games like Dark Souls and others were inspired by this game. Amazing work, as always👏🎉
No, dark souls was inspired by Kings Field, a long running series by the same developer as the souls series that predates OOT by 4 years
Wow its like the idealized version I have in my head. Incredible work, easily one of the scariest moments in the game and you made it even more terrifying
The stress of not knowing what will pop out from around the corner and take your soul from you. Kinda like teetering on the edge of fear and anxiety. These are the vibes I got from watching this gameplay. From a long time Zelda fan, you did masterfully on this.
This looks absolutely stunning! Incredible job - keep it up!
you're making so many people's dreams come true
You're a straight up legend
No joke, Nintendo should hire you and re-release these titles.
I'd buy it instantly for a new experience, the originals are great but this looks amazing.
Think about it Nintendo your company could only benefit and you'd make so many people happy.
I didn't grow up with LoZ and only got into the franchise through Botw. I cannot wait to play your OoT demo! This looks awesome!
The expression of fear and being absolutely creeped out in Link is chef's kiss. Reminds me of how I felt when I played this part as a kid! This is absolutely stunning and you definitely nailed the horror the Bottom of the Well held! Keep up the amazing work, you're doing awesome!
