@@ThornyFox Anyone who played botw knows that monsters can't fight each other without the player getting involved. It's a 6 year old game, this is common knowledge. So no, this is NOT clickbait. The fact that you made them fight with your own skill and patience is super impressive! So much cooler than the muddle buds in totk
@@taker601Exactly, I knew instantly before clicking that the Guardian and Talus weren't going to just walk up to each other and fight. The limits of this game are what bring out the creativity. Like you said it's really cool how he managed to make them fight at all because it should be impossible. Kudos to you Thorny 👏
Nobody has mentioned how the Guardian literally _aims and shoots_ at the talus whenever he gets hit. I've never seen anything like that and I'm 100% satisfied with this video.
I'm just suprised to see the guardians lock on anything they see as a threat & not just Link. This game really is amazing

it works only with Stalus
In old Doom enemies would engage in a fight if one hit another more than few times or causing bigger damage with a hit.

I find it hilarious that the guardian actually started attacking the stone talus after getting hit
instead of throwing a single durian into a cooking pot for full hp restoration, he eats 10 of them which is incredibly irritating to see.

With the rain pouring over the fight between the Guardian Stalker and the Stone Talus made the whole deathmatch even more epic! Like a legit seeing a clash of titans!

Well, Guardians are truly programmed to turn and fire immediately at whatever hits it, if it wasn't stunned outright, so yes, it'd even fire at a Talus if a Talus hits it while aiming at Link.
It's interesting that although most bosses won't mind if another boss attacks them, taluses are on their own side.
The Talus never attacked the guardian, it was always aiming at Link
Well, how would you feel if you were just chilling out as part of the landscape and some kid in a weird mask made his giant robot laser spider crawl on top of you? You’d start throwing rocks, too . . .
I like to think that taluses weren’t brought by ganon during the calamity, they just kind of laid dormant and just crush whatever gets near their sleeping spot, and they aren’t really evil, they just don’t want ppl waking them up.

Damn, this game is 5 years old (as of this comment) and never did I ever see a Guardian attack someone else other than Link. Watching this being completely mind-blown, 5 years in and I thought I've seen every quirky thing to do BOTW has to offer AND it still amazes me someone else discovers a new thing about the game. Good job, bro!

@@ThornyFox and I thought the BOTW2 trailer with "Bokoblins on a Talus" enemy type was EPIC and gave us a glimpse of combining familiar enemy types into a new one. This one little detail about Guardians attacking other threats apart from Link is just as awesome, too!

That was epic. The best part was when they both got mad and just started attacking each other; I hadn't thought they would attack anything that hurt them. I guess that makes them like the chickens. Now THERE'S a match for the ages.
I like the music when Talus appears, makes the whole fight seem almost cute 😆
I actually think that would be a fascinating new feature they can include in BOTW2, like enemies who come from different camps/species would treat each other as hostile and start fighting each other. All while at the same time coming after Link as well. That would be incredibly enjoyable.

The Stone Talus music theme is so cheery for a giant rock trying to kill you, i remember the first time i found one (without knowing what it was)... ah, the memories of being smashed by rocks coming from nowhere as i enjoy some fun melody.

You’re like a person that puts a cobra and mongoose together in one enclosure “just to see what happens” . . .
The fact that a Guardian will willingly attack other enemies that attack it is such a nice detail! It makes them seem more intelligent and ironically 'alive,' like they are aware of their surroundings. It's also infinitely more interesting than "Ooga booga, Link spotted, must attack."
And It makes sense, they were created to fight ganon and his forces

Crazy theory: the reason why the guardian attacked is because its code is trying to fight back against the malice and when it's hit it helps the guardian regain control for a little bit

I like the guardian actually targets the talus if it punches it in the face. I also like you how you managed to get them from Mable Ridge all the way over to that lake behind Lake Hylia.
Its no wonder rocks are better than ancient death robots.
Rocks are so OP that they're nerfed to be completely lifeless and cannot move by themselves. They still do MAJOR damage in reality sometimes

I had not realized that the size of the guardian was so large until I saw him next to that other enemy
Taluses are likely nature spirits, so the Guardians would not care about them at all until they are hostile.

It’s called entertainment and we all need it as part of a balanced life. In addition to the entertainment, this guy shows talent on how he strategically got these two together. This game continues to amaze me on the strategy skills needed to get through all the quests.
