- Mercedes-Benz E 300de 2019/2020 is a Plug-in Hybrid car. It has 2.0 l turbo-diesel engine (143 kW/194 HP, 400 Nm) plus 90 kW/122 HP, 440 Nm electric motor. The lithium-ion battery capacity: 13.5 kWh gross (part of it is available for driving). Mercedes claims E 300 de can cover around 44 - 48 km (~27 - 29 mi) in all-electric mode (E-Mode). I checked it in a city. Result: 44 km (~27 mi) in real test (eco-driving in a city).

You can go electrically far enough for daily communtig. Perfect! Thanks for this test!
what if you drive with hybrid mode, when vehicle use both diesel and hybrid, what is the average consumption incl diesel also
If you don't press too much gas pedal, you will use electric mode (in reality) for first ~48 km. Later on you will use diesel with hybrid mode. Results in such scenario I will publish soon.
This car is amazing ❤️ i love it❤️
Mógłbyś kilku testerom udzielić lekcji ... Świetna robota!!!
Dziękuję! :)
Nice work - really useful!
Thanks 🙏 for great video and information about Mercedes, because I’m about to buy one of this E300de ☺️
Very nice and informative video. For once driving is from real life and not blasting top speed / best acceleration figures.
Mokry sen taksówkarza.
Great video. One question : what is the acceleration to 100km/h with electric and together electric and diesel engine? Thanks

Diesel/Electric hybrid?
Yes
@@RaulG92 I like it. More should be allowed here in the USA.
Why does it have so high Kwh/km? im with 530e and i average 13.5-15kwh/100km and im with 12kwh battery and my best is 70km with full charge and minimum w/o pre conditioning and non stop high speed of AC 50km this car should average at worst 17Kwh/100km
If i want to use it as hybrid do i have to charge it ? Or the engine produces electricity because of the movement of the crank
You can charge the batteries manually using diesel engine but it is pointless in most situations.
@@1001cars so if i use only the diesel engine. I will have only the diesel horsepower?
@@C4vts180 No, you have 100% of power because the system reserve at least 10% capacity of the battery to allow best acceleration.
@@1001cars i am very confused now. Should i buy this or the regular E300d 2.0 liter 245 hp
@@C4vts180 It depends on your preferences and expectations. If you are not going to charge batteries it is pointless to buy 300de.
Bdb wynik, reszta recenzentów osiągała jakieś 30km
Make fuel consumption test this model, please
I am going to publish it soon :)
@@1001cars Any update for the fuel consumption at low battery?
@@somenification I will try do this this week :(
@@1001cars Great. I love your videos where you drive through city and record the real consumption. 👌
rare weel drive?
Of course it is. If some Mercedes car with 4matic badge that mean all wheel drive.
Nice car but too expensive to buy and maintain! It is not a car for normal people. Remember roads are terrible!
194hp + 122hp = 316hp not 306
You cannot make such calculation. Every, EVERY plug-in hybrid car has less power than simple summary power of every engine. You should know about it!
Albo 40 km miasta i 60 km trasy?
@@1001cars Chodzi pewnie o zużycie paliwa na tym dystansie. Czy po wyczerpaniu baterii jest jeszcze jakaś szansa na ich podładowanie podczas jazdy i wykorzystania do obniżenia zużycia paliwa.
