The Cummins x15 performance series delivers 605hp and 2050lbs as well as the Detroit engine too

Class 7 & 8 Trucks need a 12 inch touchscreen with all those camera angles. That will aid in backing up.

I couldn't find any current patents for the hood suspension system. Daimler does however have two Great Britain patent applications for this system that seem to have been either rejected or abandoned. Maybe this video got ahead of itself when it was created.

Nice to see some vocational trucks. If you want to do a spot on modern school buses let me know! I’ve got a unit with a cummins / Eaton DCT combo that’s pretty sweet.

Here is a recommendation for you. Go to western stars hq or peterbilt etc do a full video and get a test driver for a test drive and totally have a new audience of truck drivers

Unfortunately it is not longer a Western Star.....it's a just a glorified Freightliner now.

What?! No paddle shifters?!! 😉 😂 The transmission sounds like...in concept at least... the double clutch performance car (For GT, Ferrari, Porsche, etc) transmissions......on steroids....a lot of steroids. Nice rigs by the way.

    Thinner does not mean stronger.

Often times it does with new materials.

@@Pickuptrucktalk your wrong on that steel has a set point as does stainless as does aluminum. They think lighter is better to glorify gas mileage brainwashing. All metal has a stress point an thinner is not stronger than 3/8inch steel it is more heavy. Once again weigh play a role in how much stress that piece will bare. Grab me 1/4 steel an 3/ 8 steel. That 1/4 inch steel will break or bend before the 3/8 inch. All metal has a weak point no matter the material. It not the material it is the way it is treated when it is made.

@@firstamendmenttshirt4768 I’m talking about new steels like high strength steel. Not comparable pieces of steel like you’d find at a home improvement store.

@@Pickuptrucktalk that's like saying chrome moly steel is better than steel. when it is less weight an not any better.
