  • I actually changed the rear differential fluid and then the seals started to leak. It wasn't leaking bad, but it was getting on the parking brake shoes. The parking brake started not to work very well so I decided to change these. This was good project for my son and I. I hope you guys enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe.

Didn’t show repacking wheel bearings.. very good lesson for your man.. did you use hub oil to fill hub? When you pulled axle, fluid poured out.. didn’t show replacing any.

@@allensshenanigans348 I did! I'm having parking brake issues-- they won't hold even under idle. The passenger side cable seems to have trouble moving but it does move a bit. Do you think the metal jaws need to be removed and derusted?

I replaced the parking brake shoes on my truck. If any oil leaked on them then that will cause issues. There is an adjustment on each side for the parking brake.

Appreciate the video but I must point out something. You should really never hit on bearings with a screwdriver to seat it. A rawhide mallet on the hub works best.

@@allensshenanigans348 that spindle socket is a 4 point right. I see there’s others that have more than 4 points.
