Assumptions: They want gal Spartans with bigger dump trucks.
Reality: In lore, Spartan 177 "Master Chief" aka "John" was first put on the map during the battle of Horstes Hill more commonly known as Battle for Bridge Crossing due to its vital Bridge connecting the two largest hills in the region giving good sight lines and defensive capabilities.
The battle was fierce as the Covenant Elites had captured the smaller hill and had pushed up entirely on the bridge.
Luckily, one of the last few Pelicans to land on the Higher base carried a group of Spartans including 117.
Further aid was cut off as Covenant Anti-air support had established themselves too close. The Spartans being rather new to combat with the Covenant made good progress but fell to the battle hardened Elites of the Covenant.
All hope seemed loss until Master Chief used his, canonical, HUGE MASSIVE DUMP TRUCK ASS TO FLATTEN THE COVIE BASTARDS.
So in order to pay homage to the lore, we need to ensure our asses in game can represent the absolute CAKES on the average Spartan.
Well a larger butt is often caused by increased muscle in the glutes, so judging by the genetic modification in the spartan program alongside the training Spartans endured master chief should have a massive dumpy
with a massive dumpy help-
I mean you could say the same about female Spartans, halo reach did it so well but halo infinite is just not it

Taller characters is a dumb idea, but kinda not. Taller characters can see over higher walls, but also can be seen over higher walls, short characters are lower and can be fully protected more easily, but can't see over really anything.
If they really wanna appease the fans they'd let us make dummy thicc elites

@@bread7932 there is a reason literally every game with good customization, people talk about it for ages. just look at dark souls. an action rpg, super dark, comparatively hard, and yet the people who play it the most, frequently call it "fashion souls", because looking cool is more important than wearing the best gear, to most players.
To have elites back as an option for multiplayer would be a blessing that we could all appreciate

In the weirdest way it feels like they took away a core element in the franchise. The idea that men and woman struggled together in the Howling Dark is a detail that's just as equal to the other elements that make the game feel alive

They don’t need to do any thing crazy. Just create the male and female Spartans like the past two installments and let them each have there own body type options (similar to what it is currently)

Considering how chunky Spartan armour is, they could absolutely do different body types without changing the hitboxes at all.
Shorter Spartans would be a problem because of the hitbox issue, all sorts of dweebs would make their Spartans tiny to make them harder to hit..

as a game rigger, i can tell you that they alrdy had a perfectly working rig and model from halo 5 (just like what COD does for ages now) but somebody from the studio decides that this is too distracting and unacceptable in todays representation.. so
Jokes about Reach’s female spartan models aside, I adored Reach so much as a kid because, for the first time in a video game franchise I loved, I felt represented. I no longer felt like I was an outcast for being a young girl who liked FPS video games. And the more I played Reach, the more proud I was to be a nerd who loved Halo.
Maybe it’s a bit overdramatic of me to say, but I feel like all this “we can’t have female body types, everyone has to look the same!” is just going backwards.

Honestly, as much as I may joke about Spartan ass, the main reason I personally hope proper body type selection gets implemented is so that my Spartan can have a track runner build, and so that others who want to play as a Spartan who’s built like Jorge or whatever body type can do that.
Here's a funny fact for you. In a port of the armor core MkV (B) for Fallout 4, it was discovered that all body types conform to the male body. You literally cannot be a female in Halo Infinite. It took another modder to separate and create a female body type from scratch using the bodyslide system; and do you know what? They did it! One person did what a AAA company could not. That is what pisses me off about 343, they are lazy and uncaring about Halo as an IP. They either need to pull their fingers out of their arse or leave.

@@jackcolson4745 The reason why they didn't make different bodies (Masculine/Feminine) was to quite simply accommodate for the armor core system which has turned out to be a failure. In order to cover up the corner cutting 343 did they said that Spartans in Infinite are androgynous which makes little sense since spartan 4s are more akin to special forces rather than super soldiers, making them more human in appearance. Overall it's just 343 being lazy. Not politics.

Well, you got excluded because 343i had to appease the .0001% of the population on Twitter that doesn't acknowledge that men and women have distinct physical differences and throw shitfits every time male and female are used as descriptors for body types. This happened in MCC too, the Reach and Halo 4 body options got renamed as "Heavy" or "Light" though at least they both still represent the distinctly different body shapes of the sexes. In Infinite we just got the 3 slightly different masculine shapes: big, average, and slim.

Imagine being a marine fighting the Banished, but you get distracted after a Spartan IV with an absolute Pixar dumpy sprints right past you and impales a brute with her knife. Then you get hit by a red plasma bolt from some brute’s plasma rifle because you weren’t paying attention.
Happens. Local PD officer got distracted by a supervisor's rear end during a felony stop. Fortunately, the suspect had terrible aim. Bodycam vid was just him losing focus for just a second, then bam bam bam. Bam.
Considering this happened every so often in Reach, this must all be a ploy by 343 to make Halo more "competitive."

I always assumed the bodytype stuff was so minimal was because the undersuit isn't form fitting, so thin or thick, the padding doesn't change unless it's being pushed on

If you have a character who is meant to be physically strong (no matter the gender) and they don’t have powerful glutes then you don’t understand human anatomy and how forces are generated through the body. I know it’s only a story but give us the dump trucks back!

Why would 343 give things to the Halo community? If there's one thing 343 hates more than Halo, it's the players.
It was a small gripe for me too when getting kats armor and then not being able to make her the same skinny frame that she was in halo reach. It was small which is why I originally didn't complain too much but since people are talking about the body type yes I need a smaller female frame for kat's armor

I know the want for a more feminine body type is usually referred to in a more joking way,but honestly having 5 body types would be much better than the three we currently have; which are basically just average,slightly masculine,and slightly feminine. Imagine how much more unique you could make your spartan if you had both a much more feminine type that changed the character model a bit more, as well as the same kind of thing in the opposite direction with a much more masculine body type.

Honestly I kinda just like those halo models better. It fits the armor style I wear the most (usually just being smaller armors to appear more try hard) 😂 and the curves are just symmetrically pleasing to look at
I actually forget that my character has the more feminine body type because they difference between is so small
Normally spartans would experience body dimorphism, where the shapes of their bodies would not change much based on the sex of the individual, including how the armor sits.
However it is worth noting that these are Spartan 4's, one's that signed up voluntarily at a later age, where puberty already took affect, so in a way, yes it makes sense lore wise to give them a dumpy.
If I cant distract that camper with my entire bakery...then this game aint worth it
Unpopular Opinion: Stop asking game devs to sexualized the game, but be grateful when they do.
It is not hard to see why they did this. They just don't want to put in the work that it would take to make a dummy thicc spartan or the work to put in an elite. I WANT MY ELITE 343!

You can never please fans. Not defending halo here because it’s online is arguably not the best compared to older games but they could release a new update tomorrow and people would be upset.

I feel like reach had the most due to the fact that it had such a diverse range of styles. From the head to toe you could change your little details. Now in infinite it’s no where near as customizable as reach. 5 had a good bit except weapon skins, neither 4. My point is that the little things matter:)

If they used halo reach's armor customisation, they would actually succeed
Almost everybody wants to play as either a big jacked spartan, a giant legendary elite, or a big booty waifu spartan. The customization in halo infinite is just "regular man," smaller regular man" and "thin man", the only female customization is your voice.
One complaint I and many others have voices our opinions on as well is the fact some armor chest plates don't change colours when you apply armor coatings to your main suit.
A good example of one such armor this happens with is the ODST chest plate as it remains a grey colour regardless of what colour you choose and there are little to no armor coatings that affect this when in previous games this armor piece would always change colours to match what you selected for it.

The fact all customization is behind painful to grind battle passes is what killed Infinite for me. Halo never did that shit, they should've done what they always did and had unlocks either available from the get go or tied to specific milestones.

Not necessarily true, Super Smash Brothers, Fur Fighters and other games do it by either stretching the model or some other tricks so it can fit within the same hitbox
