Yeah I mean save the world can be given a few more people and they make it free with the packs becoming a pass for that mode. You can get the game itself for the llama tickets but without it it is vbucks for the progress and a few tickets from the pass. Then just make it some new hero and skins from save the world. Just easy stuff.
I used to do stw till they cut it off. now its just filled with bugs that never end up getting fixed. I stopped playing once they added the new movement mechanics
Not just that but one thing I hate and I mean HATE is that they dropped the 3d loading screens that was delivered from chapter 1 and dropped after C2S1. Not throwing shade at the artist or anything because those loading screens are pretty cool but the 3d loading screens were peak. Nowadays the only way you're getting them is through the freaking shop tied to a bundle if you're lucky.
I still am baffled about how Tim Sweeney keeps saying that Steam is a monopoly... while trying to turn his game into a "all you need is in this platform" type "metaverse". I still can't get over how Lego Fortnite is closer to what I was expecting of Lego Worlds in 2015 than what it ended up being.
That's because when a corporation sees another do a genuinely beneficial things for their customers, and not something purely extortive, they feel threatened. Because they know we will naturally gravitate towards the best deals, and when your only business model is made to squeeze every dime out of consumer pockets instead of promoting good products, you can't hope to compete. Tim is afraid for all of the wrong reasons. I hope he gets his dues.
I thought that they would complete the story and then we’d have the happy ending where the games story is concluded and they’re free to add whatever stuff they wanted. It’s honest at least when you do that and makes sure that the story isn’t being used the milk the money making machine.
Wait what exactly are you referring to? Chapter 4 had its own storyline, it wasn't a wrap up to the storyline from chapter 1 up until that point. Every chapter has its own storyline.
@OdaKa chapters 1-4 were all part of the same story but with chapter 5 we're in a new universe after it got rebooted in the metaverse slop event at the end of Fortnite OG
it PISSES me off that they fucked up the ui, item rarities, content ratings, seasonal loading screens, item shops, etc. all for the multiverse thing... only to pussyfoot around with it and never provide any meaningful content to any of it they ruined what fortnite was only to half ass a multiverse thing that 95% of players couldnt care less about
@@JP-24 But nothing bad has happened yet. All we've had after that announcement was the D23 event/showcase and then the new skin leaks. But no Disney hub world or something around like that.
As someone that only installed this because of harmonix doing Festival, I play it every week, but I do have criticisms like the OUTRAGEOUS prices of single songs, they used to be so much cheaper inside rock band, it's insanity here. Also they added a higher difficulty but it's guitar exclusive, the game is great.
Now that Remix is out. I am not saying that it is bad but it is not the real thing. The lore basically doesn't exist anymore. I hate the new movement, the UI, the locker, and the terrible shop layout. It is honestly one big ad and freakin ice spice is in there for some mf reason. Fortnite used to be way calmer and it wasn't this chaotic. It is losing it's personality. It is like that one insecure kid who was already appreciated by his friends but is trying to be someone else in a weird way. The battle passes were actually fun to grind and get all the extra styles back then but now they decrease the xp you get and are forcing you to level up 50 more levels. I had so many memories cranking up the graphics, playing some music and just chilling doing quests.
@@HasanEzzz yeah ice spice is what exposed them. she isn’t a good artist, and did we forget that Fortnite’s main playerbase is children? she’s wayyyyy too inappropriate much like other weird collabs we somehow got. basing this whole season around collabs is just insane. it’s clear they only want our money but only do it in the most ridiculous ways. they’re acting like they have bills to pay but if they were really in need of money they would release highly anticipated skins in the shop. idk how they do things now but I’m not a fan. been playing since s4 and I’ve witnessed the downfall of this game
I am sad that the storyline is gone, but I disagree with basically everything else you said. The movement is fluid and nice, and allow the older map to be Zero Build accessible. I find the UI and locker non-issues, the shop is fine. The battle passes are easier than ever, which I personally find kinda bad, but they definitely aren't harder. While 150 levels for all rewards is more than 100 levels for all rewards, like C2, but its way easier than the 100 tiers of C1. And it allows people to grind more. I love grinding to 150 for all the rewards then grinding more for the super styles. Also I don't really get the complaints, as this game is free, and with careful planning, could've only had 10 dollars spent and every battle pass obtained with a 500 vbuck surplus each season.
I just quit ranked Rocket Racing yesterday after grinding to unreal for the past 3 seasons of it. It's broken. Cars don't maneuver as smoothly as they should, some tracks are built so ridiculously that it makes you question who would even release such a thing and most races only having 6 players when you get closer to the unreal rank. It was fun for a while until it just became annoying. Countless updates passing and almost zero attention to the broken mechanics of the game mode just made me give up on it. It's upsetting too because the mode can become addicting. It's just become too obvious that Epic thinks placing a proverbial bandaid over the bugs will make players happy. I hope they decide to make changes and fix the mode so that it can be enjoyable again. Not only for casual players, but for the few who had fun racing competitively against one another. The mode could've been something if they just cared about it enough. Edit: It's the day after and it's also the Day of Doom update. Decided to give one last chance to Rocket Racing and the game crashed mid race. They don't even try anymore man....
As someone that has been in Rocket League since 2016, has all but 3 cars that have transferred over, and has been Unreal all these seasons, i agree, recently, i've unlocked the loading screens of the new season, and just wondered, why aren't the races looking like this? Rocket Racing was dealt the worst hand out of them all, releasing days after removing one of Rocket League's STAPLE things (trading) made it so A LOT of people just relate it to that, hating it, making it so the people that should transfer over from Rocket League, not do so, and there is just so little gamemodes, a Rumble gamemode would be sick, like Mario kart, but there isn't, the game needs content, same with Rocket League, which needs a port to UE5 FAST I will always be there for this 2, because i can find them fun, but there's always those times where i just need a break Granted, the transfeering stuff was a great idea, i just hope this means a brighter future for Rocket
@@DUCK.aka.Red.on.Twitter I feel for you, man. You're totally right. They added a casual racing mode and speedrun mode which, honestly, both seem pointless. A battle mode where they incorporate the car mods from last season of Fortnite would be so much fun. They could do so much that could change the pace of the mode and make it enjoyable for everyone, but they just continue adding cosmetics instead. I recently started playing RL because of Rocket Racing and it's going to be a middle ground to scratch the driving itch until Epic decides to put care into Racing. They also need to do something that would encourage RL players to have a reason to play. The player pool is just too low where it is right now. It's crazy to think Rocket Racing made me want to Rocket League as a better alternative. All we can do is just sit and hope Epic opens their eyes :/
@@lakeofkayge I like rocket racing's controls, but don't like the track designs or the physics. They design the tracks as if the cars maneuver just like Mario kart when that isn't the case and the physics punish you for slightly over calculating a turn by flipping your car at a random angle or demolishing it as if you crashed into the wall when in reality you were doing a midair flip to drive on it.
@@MarioMario-u1p EXACTLY. Bro if I just bump the wall slightly with the tip of my bumper, my car basically loses control and pinballs against the walls until I can figure out a way to control it again. It comes down to tracks not being built for the mobility the cars currently have. The tracks demand smooth drifts and thruster boosting, but even if you drive perfectly the tracks find a way to knock you out of sync. There's been times where I'll hit a wall accidentally and just say "alright I'm not getting top four this race" and I'll have to settle for 5th or 6th. Just for my rank to either go up half a percentage or go down an entire percentage. Makes me so disappointed
Alot of the new tracks that were added are just bad cause they devide to put obtacle in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD(ussualy on a drift) and just stops the flow of the game Like the "harder" tracks aren't "harder" there just badly designed to slop a obstacle in random place in the road
Don't forget that they also removed the main feature of Rocket League (trading) to put Rocket Racing into Fortnite. That was their initial reasoning anyways. It managed to kill the game's community.
@iAmLufa it is. They took item trading out just a few days before Rocket Racing was added to Fortnite. Traders used to be a good slice of the community, but over the years Epic and Psyonix kept taking stabs at it until they just decided to kill it entirely. All because they wanted to be the sole profiteer of Rocket League cosmetics for RR
@@iAmLufa yeah when they announced in November of last year it inflated the market. Some things went for nothing and other things skyrocketed. The huge issue is now that the rocket pass goes up to tiers in the 300s but normally people only get to around low to mid 100s which means there's content that players will never be able to get now that there isn't trading.
Epic has always hated the idea of trading in Fortnite; Save the World was notorious for trade scams and Epic still refused to add a proper trading system so the players tried to come up with one of their own. There even was a global chat feature (R.I.P.) where you could find people looking for trades, such as the infamous Malachite Market. Oh and now with window vaulting in STW trade boxes are even less than useless again lmao
Fortnite's Multiverse failed because epic forgot what brought them record numbers in the first place, originality and uniqueness. Rocket racing is another quick arcade racing game that you can only play for so long until it starts to get repetitive, lego fortnite is in an awkward spot, trying to be minecraft while not allowing the freedom minecraft does, nor is there a story to the lego mode which it sort of has in terms of npc's and progression but its just not there, not to mention the worlds aren't made from lego bricks only structures players and mobs are which kind of takes away from the lego vibe, Festival is really the only valid mode as the team from guitar hero revived a game thats fanbase had been sort of split since there was no main rhythm game, the majority were fan made. The real reason alot of people dont appreciate these modes is because they sacrificed the innovation from battle royale such as seasons and live events for modes that the majority of people don't play. Adding the modes itself is good as they do have their playerbase, however its clear they only added these modes for money more than anything which would explain why they released these modes with glitches and bugs.
Rocket Racing would be better if it was a kind of Mario Kart, where we can throw some ítems to the players, also if we could se our skins would be better imo, like mortal Kombat did i'm armaggedon
Also its so sad to consider they stopped putting effort in chapter 3 and 4 to work on this multiverse and stopped doing live events because they focus more on building the multiverse
The worst part ab this is they had to get rid of the storyline for this, i know it might seem small but its really underrated, also no live events because of it, only cash grab concerts
The thing that makes me mad is the fact that now Epic will have to work on like 4 games at once which means that each of the games won't be able to have impactful updates just small cosmetic that won't impact any of games. I'm not talking about the season updates, just the updates in between. Edit: OK, the dev team thing is dealt with or has been, but still, each of the team members has to consider what will support the other franchise, which could bring a lot of stress.
not true at all, RR is worked on by the rocket league developers, and festival is worked on by harmonix, both are a part of epic but they aren't taken from the br team, only Lego was which is why its much more frequently updated
I like rocket racing but oh my God whenever you’re in a tube and drift, the game just forgets how it’s programmed and either keeps you stuck in a spiral where you can’t control your car or just throws you backwards and you explode
Base on today from November 8th you can now use jam tracks as lobby tracks and in Lego, the instruments will soon be announced that they will become pickaxes and backblings and that’s about it
Take another look at Fortnite Festival, it’s changed a lot since launch. You can even play with an actual plastic guitar now and get those GH/RB charts. Also, the jam loops aren’t really for playing the same song with others, it’s more so to mix and create unique things using the different stems of songs
I miss skin rarities every day and every night, the rarities was a perfect way to describe them and now its hard to find any skin if you don't know when did they come out or what is their name
I agree, if fortnite brang back rarities i wouldnt have a problem with anything theyre doing, i miss them, they were a unique part of fortnite that is now gone
Save the world is a great example of side game mode that got kept on life support for years because of epic games not being very good at managing their games. It used to be the main thing too, which is nuts.
Speak for yourself buddy that guitar hero mode gets hard af. Play a harder instrument and actually look at the songs difficulty not just the instruments.
I have a few ideas that could help the songs sell really well: 1. Be able to store at least 3 tracks as a playlist for the car radio. 2. Gotta make each of these a bit cheaper. 500 is a lot for one song. I must commend epic for one thing though: Jam Tracks can be used as lobby music. Epic is so close to making me buy a half-dozen more songs, and they just gotta change things up a bit.
When Rocket Racing released, you could do out of bounds shortcuts with the boost, I loved it. Less than a week after, no skips, you go out of bounds you die, never played it again.
2:07 I hate the fact that because of these we never get new key art I mean we can still get the loading screen on the battle pass, but what happened to the new key art for each season being on the cover of the game? Like it made sense in chapter 5 season 1 because that’s when we got these game modes but now they’re just dragging it into every season which doesn’t make new seasons feel new at first glance and it’s repetitive
"None of the songs reach the same difficulty as those songs" Yeah, play one or paradise city and make this video again. All of the plastic guitar elites pretty much agree that festival is the next best thing to those games. Everything else in this video i agree with though.
Exactly. There are some borderline impossible Festival songs (mainly Metallica). Obviously the songs aren’t going to be super difficult because the main input devices for the game are controller and keyboard.
It's actually a really sad story of someone's greed and hubris leading to their downfall, and it sucks, because as a long time fan of Fortnite, it's depressing to see how pathetic the game has gotten now
They should have let Lego cook for longer, but having a creator mode was a great idea. Rocket racing got boring quickly, and letting it have creative was a good idea in theory, but what they should have also done was introduce more modes instead of just racing and time trials. For example, let people make a derby mode for it or an elimination style race or even tournaments. Lastly, fortnite festival is overall better than the rest and the battle stage was a unique idea that can be fun. I'd say most they should do for it is let it have a creative scene so players can build their own stages and possibly have it so they can have their own in-game animations like guitar hero did.
0:50 look into the bungie and destiny 2 downfall. It all came crumbling down because the CEO spent the profits on a car collection instead of improving the company and its games.

By now there are plenty of songs and I'm not going for the current festival pass but I still play often just because there are so many good songs that I enjoy. It's just like Fortnite BR, there are some seasons that I really like and some seasons that I let slip because the content just doesn't interest me as much.

@@GeometricDominatorFan look, i am Unreal top 700 right now, and I can tell you from Elite, but mainly on Champions, THINGS ARE DIFFERENT, you can clearly see the huge skill gap
Fortnite devs are spread too thin for all the content they're trying to create. Unless EG can build onto what they already have, and generate enough hype to gather everyone back, they should just can the whole project. It's a massive waste of time and money for them.
Listen, man, i agree with this video somewhat already up until the festival part. There is a good amount of songs that are difficult af on expert, especially paradise city. Also that track speed is horrendously gross to look at
Fortnite Festival apparently was developed by Harmonix, the studio behind Rockband, which was the competitor to Guitar Hero by Activision during the music game wars.
Dude what festival is awesome now. They have support for a lot of guitars, they added a lot more hard songs. There are some very very hard songs on there now. I play on expert on 2.0x speed and it’s awesome. I play on everything, controller, keyboard, and guitar. It’s awesome and it’s the main thing I play on Fortnite. About Fortnite Festival having harder difficulty now, I should’ve spoken better. I know that the game got harder and I mentioned at the end of the video that the game eventually got more content. The point is that upon release that difficulty update did not exist and so it’s potential was stunted. This goes back to the video’s point, that these games failed due to being rushed
@@iAmLufa My main point was that I think you’re being a little too critical on three games that are completely free. The way they advertise Rocket racing in ads will always be so funny to me. They'll be like "look at this bew season isn't sooo cool!" And it has nothing new/ interesting in the trailer and then everyone kinda forgets about the mode till the next season comes out.
Something I personally don't like about fortnite festival is that songs are $5 dollars per song unlike Rock Band 4 (also made by harmonix) which are only $2 per song, other than that, it's a perfectly fine rock band game but thats what it should've been, a new rock band game not a fortnite game mode Edit: The fact the game mode is online is such a bummer, if you have bad wifi, you cant play FF very well, that is another reason it shouldve been a offline rock band game
I accidentally watched the first minute in 2 times. Speed.. and I have never seen his videos before, so I thought it was weird but fine for a good video... nice video
5:00 You forgot to mention that the star wars update brought new bases, new caves, new weapons, grenades, new villagers, new enemies, new buidable stuff, the ruins of the destroyer, and the fast teleport
festival is actualyl harder now. with the inclusion of metallica, guns and roses and the new song beyond the flame lead has become very fun due to the amount of notes on screen and you can up the speed to make it "easier" the notes come faster wich means higher dificulty but easier to hit perfect notes
Definitely agree. The 3 modes are severely undercooked and only even remotely enjoy festival despite its lack of difficulty. Funnily enough, Lego came with a "Must not fail" priority on it but because they didn't leave it in the oven for enough time, it's kinda looking that way. It's sad that BR is getting the StW treatment in a way, considering the fact that they're prioritizing on "the big 3" rather than what got them into the position they're in in the first place
its like y'all enjoy being wrong, 1. Lego didn't fail stop saying it did y'all look stupid, 2. br is being prioritized u idiots are saying that the 3 modes aren't being updated but will turn around and say that br isn't a priority, wtf are they working on then
I swear epic must be asking a 5 year old if the choices they make are good or not, because thinking that a grown ass adult is approving these things is crazy
Something to note about Fortnite festival. It’s developer is Harmonix who also made the first 2 guitar hero games and the spinoff “encore rocks the 80s”
The fortnite festival jam tracks sometimes are able to mix well with other tracks. My friend and I mixed and matched random tracks together (even though we were just 2 out of 4 people) and it was kinda funny hearing Bad Guy piano with a southern western vocals speaking about god knows what

This video’s relevance just SKYROCKETED.
Rocket Racing was dealt the worst hand out of them all, releasing days after removing one of Rocket League's STAPLE things (trading) made it so A LOT of people just relate it to that, hating it, making it so the people that should transfer over from Rocket League, not do so, and there is just so little gamemodes, a Rumble gamemode would be sick, like Mario kart, but there isn't, the game needs content, same with Rocket League, which needs a port to UE5 FAST
I will always be there for this 2, because i can find them fun, but there's always those times where i just need a break
Granted, the transfeering stuff was a great idea, i just hope this means a brighter future for Rocket
Alot of the new tracks that were added are just bad cause they devide to put obtacle in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD(ussualy on a drift) and just stops the flow of the game
Like the "harder" tracks aren't "harder" there just badly designed to slop a obstacle in random place in the road
Don't forget that they also removed the main feature of Rocket League (trading) to put Rocket Racing into Fortnite. That was their initial reasoning anyways. It managed to kill the game's community.
That’s crazy if true

@@iAmLufa I still don’t understand why epic didn’t just make separate games for those modes? It makes Fortnite feel terrible to play with all these games festering in like a virus!
video is already outdated lol have you not seen the stuff about lego fortnite like the new trailer
14:25 to add to this, many skins were denied returning to the item shop because they didn’t have a Lego style. Examples were Raven team leader, as it never came out until it was given a Lego skin, and then it was rereleased.
Epic if making bad decisions was a contest: 🏆🥇🏅
if youtube was in the contest it would have won 1st place
I honestly agree with you man, whats the point in these modes anymore? I just pretend they don't exist.
Hey man, talk all the crap about the other game modes you want, but Festival is *huge* for the rhythm game community.
Also… any song on Expert and it’s easy? Yeah man, play One or Paradise City and come back to me. Or even just watch an Acai short on one of the solos.
What do you HUGE for the rythm community. The popularity will continue to dwindle because the hype is gone, and most players aren't coming back.
And if you think about it, Its unfinished. There were so much they could of added to it
Yawn
Loud and wrong
This video kinda aged poorly now that OG is confirmed to come back permanently

Honestly I’ve been having so much fun with Lego Fortnite since it released. Just this week me and my friends built a church, castle doom, we’ve been building an airport and we have 58 planes so far. It’s not about the lack of things sometimes it’s just the lack of imagination imo
And I’m not saying this to the creator because of the video because what he made was very creative and Fortnite does have the problem of the to many builds thing
No offense I gotta ask why not just play mincraft I personally haven’t plate Lego fortnite much so maybe it’s better than I thought
@@damarkisallen1013 because some of my friends don’t have it and the ones that do need a Microsoft account

@@jacobgrammer2022 I believe that you know what else was rushed
Fortnite was a golden goose and they slaughtered it.
I still play Fortnite festival today and the a lot of the newer songs are a lot harder to full combo now. There have been a much of quality of life changes and it makes it a lot more fun to play!
The way they advertise Rocket racing in ads will always be so funny to me. They'll be like "look at this bew season isn't sooo cool!" And it has nothing new/ interesting in the trailer and then everyone kinda forgets about the mode till the next season comes out.
Something I personally don't like about fortnite festival is that songs are $5 dollars per song unlike Rock Band 4 (also made by harmonix) which are only $2 per song, other than that, it's a perfectly fine rock band game but thats what it should've been, a new rock band game not a fortnite game mode
Edit: The fact the game mode is online is such a bummer, if you have bad wifi, you cant play FF very well, that is another reason it shouldve been a offline rock band game
I accidentally watched the first minute in 2 times. Speed.. and I have never seen his videos before, so I thought it was weird but fine for a good video... nice video
Me and my friend only hop on to play festival. The amount of songs now are kinda nuts. And I just love rhythm games.
Epic games is absolutely incompetent.
Lol

fortnite festival songs get INSANE just look at somp or beyond the flame or literally any metallica song
5:00 You forgot to mention that the star wars update brought new bases, new caves, new weapons, grenades, new villagers, new enemies, new buidable stuff, the ruins of the destroyer, and the fast teleport
Fast travel was a few months later
@@ultimat3lifeform the imperial cave to the star wars island was the first version of fast travel
Rocket racing is probably the worst, most forgetable addition
festival is actualyl harder now. with the inclusion of metallica, guns and roses and the new song beyond the flame lead has become very fun due to the amount of notes on screen and you can up the speed to make it "easier" the notes come faster wich means higher dificulty but easier to hit perfect notes
Lego didn't fail stop saying it did y'all look stupid, 2. br is being prioritized u idiots are saying that the 3 modes aren't being updated but will turn around and say that br isn't a priority, wtf are they working on then
@@fenneko8295 man really said festival had a lack of difficulty 💀
@@Flump-Masterit’s pretty boring and not that hard either
BR is definitely NOT getting the STW treatment. At least not during this season.
@@Flump-Master fucking FNF's MILF was harder than whatever Festival has to offer lmao
How dare you insult my favourite song, the search
Listen bro it’s good but after you’ve played it so many times in the gamemode it starts to get boring quick
@@user-xn6wu4gj3d fr, that's why I choose random songs but my friend just wants to play the same rock songs
My friend and I mixed and matched random tracks together (even though we were just 2 out of 4 people) and it was kinda funny hearing Bad Guy piano with a southern western vocals speaking about god knows what
Cars can still be used in battle royale and creative maps and im willing to believe licensed cars sell better than lego table 3
came just for the expected festival bashfest, thank u now i’m gonna enjoy playing festival
@@tonyonafriday No way you think songs should cost 500 vbucks
@@iAmLufa never said that at all btw, genuinely starting to think you're rage baiting now
@@tonyonafriday Idk how you can have fun playing festival if you have the same starter songs to play, assuming you havent bought any of the 500 vbucks jam tracks
@@obnoxiousnamegaming5715 Cuz it is NOT the same "starter songs". Songs are on rotation often, and if you want to buy some, you can still feel free to.
Also you can play fills or with friends and get their songs, if they have any.
Festival IS fun, just cuz you dont like it, doesnt mean it is not fun. Not everyone has fun at rhythm games, I do.
10:42 clearly you haven't played s.o.m.p, master of puppets, or any rap song on festival
I was about to say something. Yeah i see his point about it not being the MOST difficult, but some of the songs are definitely difficult. Many of the songs arent very hard.
Don’t blame him festival is boring
or maybe he's an experience rhythm game player like many others that find such songs easy as hell
Hey man those songs can be used as lobby songs now, so arguably an equally good use of them
Festival is the only reason why i came back to the game and still play
Respectablw
There is also fall guys stuff which has unnecessary styles that new skins need to have. And the fall guys skins weren't even used outside of that one event at the end of the last season that everyone already forgot about. I know you can make creative fall guys maps now but if I remember correctly it's not like you couldn't have done that in this game.
I still play festival all the time, shit is mad fun
There are still people who LOVE Lego fortnite such as Kaz and other creators showing their builds
