Of course, even with the update i added to the video, there's still so much more i wanna say about this game but when it's an animated medium that makes it harder to do so. The framework and base of this game is outstanding, I truly believe that. It seems the game went through development hell which sucks. Updates are slow, Forge is far away, there's issues they need to fix fast if they wanna keep this game alive. But I keep my stance where I honestly think this is the best Halo gameplay we've seen in a long, long time.
I find it pretty rare that you made a 13 minute video using fully animated animation, now that's something new from you that I liked very much, nice. 👍
In 2023, when this game is finally actually a complete game, it will be the best Halo ever made. I agree with you on most of your points, but I literally stopped playing because there’s just no content/progression/point
Understandable. I still hop on every now and again with some buds for a few matches because for me, getting clips, streaks and Ws means more to me than just leveling up or unlocking stuff. Back in Halo 3 days there was like a handful of armor sets, I just cared about winning lol. With a FTP game it's different though and I get that, hopefully they can kick it into high gear ASAP. With Forge, co-op, new maps, new modes, and maybe even a battle royal.
@@CircleToonsHD if you haven’t seen already the forge leaks are absolutely insane and I’d recommend checking them out if you’re hyped about it’s release
The best way I've heard Infinite described as is a "Diamond covered in shit". The core gameplay is excellent, as you said, the best since Halo 3. But monetization, PC performance, content, progression, and connection issues put a huge damper on things.
The biggest issue is that it wasn't launched finished. More multi-player maps and forge. That is what it needs most. The monetization is annoying as it's free to play. But that is just cosmetics. I see no reason to dis on the whole game because a helmet costs money in the store. Not saying the system shouldn't be improved. But I am saying that the game is great. No need to get hung up on a multi-player cosmetic store. The biggest issue is definitely the lack of multi-player maps and forge. But to say it has no content is untrue. You have a good campaign in a large world, and a very solid multi-player. That is more than a lot of other good games have.
@@sawdust8691 I hate it when people say "it"s just cosmetics", looking cool is a large part of the fun of a game, if you lock it behind a paywall, you have half a game.
@@oOZdemOo Half of the game is not cosmetics, you're insane. That's only true for call of duty, they have shit multiplayers and campaigns but make up for it in cosmetics.
I love Infinite, and I agree that it's a fantastic title. But it definitely needs some more content, and I'd like it if 343 could communicate with fans better.
lmao they want to give you as little content as possible in exchange for the most amount of money that's what this is dude you are buying literally asset pieces seperately from the actual game now Like you're not even buying a real product no wonder the entire frigging economy is busted
343 seems like it’s too professional for the fans. Like they’re too corporate to listen. They made one hell of a campaign my favorite of all the games. That’s probably because I wasn’t sentient during the hype for the better games, but (spoiler) When master chief says that Escharum was just a soldier in the end, doing what he thought was right. Questioning his choices. I absolutely adored that, it shows Master Chief’s respect for soldiers and their similarities.
The new team at 343 has shown an amazing new level of care in the past year, I genuinely believe that halo is on the rise again. The future is looking bright for Halo
@@Mikemeds420 ehh I disagree. I definitely think 343 needs to get its management together(which I’ve heard they’ve been doing, and is probably the reason they’re so silent) I’m just sick of listening to bungie fanboys act like this is the worse halo we’ve gotten. This is not the worse. For one, the level design is repetitive, yes. But is it the fucking library from CE? No. God I hated that level. Fuck that level. I had to turn on the banana skull to have any fun in that pile of shit
My biggest issues with this game are definitely the customization and the lack of content. The gameplay and sound design are definitely strong. There is an incredible start point for the game, it just needs more. I would have also preferred a customization system more like Reach. The current armor core system with it's overpriced cosmetics is honestly atrocious.
I agree with the reach style armor, I like the idea more to be able to customize by each piece, rather than the whole armor and the helmet like 5 or just armor and color like infinite.
I will always stand by the notion that, for the campaigns with Chief, we peaked at the Flood. There will never be another antagonist as mesmerizingly incredible and terrifying as the Gravemind. I think the Gravemind and the Flood as a whole manage to hit the same Cosmic Horror nerve that the Reapers from Mass Effect do.
@@brickweathertop7907 Yeah honestly, I thought it was precursors, it still could be but I'm not sure what they are right now other than 4th dimensional beings which I feel pretty confident on, 343 and bungie employees I think go to the same bar and it's pretty clear at this point they get a bit drunk and share ideas very loosely. Would not even shock me if it's something like the witness but not.
@@brickweathertop7907 Well, I like to evaluate what we actually have now and not what we might have later and right now it's not much. 343 could have given the player base a small taste of the endless like bungie did with the flood in CE but choose not to instead of pointing to vague grimoire-like voice logs. Maybe that will be better, maybe it won't be. Only time will tell.
@@brickweathertop7907 saying the flood is just space zombies, is like saying the reapers from mass effect are just robot space squid. not wrong, but definitely wrong.
Infinte's gameplay, art style, and overall feel is so damn great, which makes it such a shame that 343 has barely added anything to the game since launch. They have no one but themselves to blame for the player count drop. Seriously, 6 MONTHS for the first season??? Especially after releasing the multiplayer a month in advance. I have nothing else to do in the game until the end of season 1 in 2 months
@Riorozen Are you stupid? Are you just counting the Steam numbers? On Xbox Halo has around 100k players, ooooh, but no one plays it sure, just because you don't play it doesn't mean everyone don't, you aren't the center of the world
7:14 actually the other way they fixed sprint is by allowing you to shoot immediately out of the sprint animation. Whole problem with sprint before was that it locked you into an animation, ruining the golden combat triangle. But now you don't have to wait, as you can fire right away. The minor speed boost did also help as well, since it made the map design not be compensated for sprint
0:37 to be fair, halo 5 has an amazing forge and in its current state, it's not too bad anymore, though the campaign is still okay at best, from very far away, at 144p, while squinting
multiplayer is underrated by people who didnt wanna stick through, by far one of the best multiplayer experiences only shunned by titles that came prior due to the limitations at the time making those games better for their respective time. infinite muliplayer is a joke, maps are now call of duty, 3 route with overarching pathways, clones. weapons are overglorified and all made to be marksman weapons, nothing special was done with the weapons either. its shit plz @ me
@@chino146 I'd say the weapons are fairly unique, in that they aren't all marksman weapons, and I'll be honest, I see myself using every weapon in infinite more than I do in any other halo game (except 5, but that had weapon variants in standard match making)
You really are one of a kind when it comes to animations. There's so much personality in every frame it's crazy. I can't begin to comprehend how many hours have been put into this, phenomenal job!
Amazing video, one of your best, loved the animation and comedic writing. Honestly Halo Infinite IMO has the best gameplay in the entire series hands down. Sadly we're going to have to wait through a FIVE MONTH content drought until Forge (which is INSANE now it's literally coming with its own scripting language) comes out but once it does, mark my words, Halo Infinite is instantly going to become one of the most played and beloved games of the decade. I just wish Microsoft would change their hiring rules and throw more money at 343 so they could finish the complete release (Season 3) faster and fix their mess of a game engine so the developers can start pumping out actual major changes to the core experience in Season 4.
Heya! Isnt season 2 coming out in less than 2 months now - that doesnt sound like a content drought, unless you're refering to big pieces like Forge then yeah besides Coop which is slated for during season 2. . .
@@starsilverinfinity An entire six months after launch we're only getting a couple new maps and game modes in Season 2; that's downright pathetic and completely unacceptable for a live service game. However i will say it's not 343's fault, they're working crazy brutal hours over there playing catch up, the reason everything is taking so long is because Microsoft forced them to make their own engine (instead of using Unreal which was their initial plan) and that engine is a hot mess they needed more time to develop it but Microsoft rushed them and now everything they do takes substantially more time to do everything because they're constantly with all the issues of the engine. They also (because of a dumb Microsoft policy) can't keep contractors on pernamently so these people are constantly rotating out and then workers have to pickup work on this stuff without the original creators. These development problems are why Forge is going to be so crucial to Halo Infinite, so that they can let the community make all the new content for them while they focus most of their resources into fixing the engine and other stuff tied to it. It's frustrating that Microsoft doesn't just start pumping millions of dollars into hiring a crap load of new employees so that they can speed things up and make it easier on the workers, unfortunately that's not really happening from what I can tell though so we just have to wait until Season 3 before things start to turn around.
@@Kyotosomo Ah, I took content drought as in literally nothing coming out, I like to be abit optimistic - a few more maps is better than. . .no maps at all But yeah I agree with all your points, tis a shame but hopefully 343 picks itself back up - they seem to have a track record of being really good at that
Thank you. After months I've started to feel the same pain over lack of content but I've been totally satisfied with this game for months. The few gameplay complaints I have are all minor and ones I might even be wrong about (maybe halo combat feels better without collision but I still want it back)
I would argue that Halo 5 campaign did have really fun levels especially on Sanghelios that was unfortunately held back by a weak story. Its multiplayer was still fantastic and it had the best forge of any Halo game.
10:20 I feel like a lot of Halo Infinite players are quick to sweap under the rug just how good the game is and feels from a gameplay and artstyle point of view. Altough the game does need more content, that does not make it a bad game.
currently i think everyone agrees on this one thing; halo infinite has a LOT of potential to be one of the best of all the halo games, but 343 is not doing a great job at fixing it and giving it the attention it deserves.
@@FUNNYpla Yea the fact they removed husky raid kind of sucks. Still tho it's much better than it was at launch (but then again, it wasn't hard to do better than that)
@@deanrich6928 Tony Hawk Skater Is Probably For Having A Tad Bit More Height But Not That Much. Dead Space Is Probably For Puzzle Solving And Escaping Danger. Resident Evil Though...Yeah I Don't Know About That.
Absolutely agree with you. Warzone was a great addition that was part of Halo 5's launch and I enjoyed when they repurposed those maps for Firefight. Wasn't a big fan of the time constraints in Firefight but it was still a very fun time.
This is great animation and comedy, I always have a great laugh because of these videos. I might be the only one but it would be cool for them to bring back firefight and with the expanded world maybe they can increase the player count for it.
The *Grapple Counsel* legit gave me chills. Seeing those legendary elders give their approval of the almighty Master Chief after he finally earned his grapple was kinda heartwarming ngl.
While I mostly agree with the positives, I have to throw in a few negatives myself. Campaign: - Open world is bland. The environments barely see a change while outdoors and indoors all the hallways look the same; there're like 3 different playgrounds with slightly different twists and variations. - Tasks become repetitiveish for completionists and the lack of a mission select means having to go through the WHOLE campaign if you missed a skull in an instanced mission. - ARMOR LOCKERS WITHOUT A SINGLE PIECE OF ARMOR XDXDXD - The map is hostile twards vehicle play; Having played on Legendary, I felt punished for using vehicles and mostly opted to grapple my way around. Multiplayer: I don't really have alot to add to your points here, the gunplay is amazing but server instability drives me up the wall; the fact that the game crashes so often and you're not allowed to rejoin is a major upset, especially if you're playing ranked and are forced to lose nearly half your progress bar for "quitting" Also, although I'm as hyped as anyone else for Forge to come out, I do think we need to consider the fact that its a dangerous slippery slope to expect Forge to fix the lack of content - as if we're expecting the community itself to do the Dev's work and construct solid maps and game modes while they just sit on the store front waiting to receive big bucks for a shiny new armor effect.
Agreed. People are praising the campaign world when it is literally copy and paste across the whole thing. Other halos really did great with different looking levels. Other open world games have much larger maps with tones of variety and different missions. Infinite is bland and boring, same map design throughout the world and repetive missions. 343 were lazy. Heck Oblivion came out in 2006 and has WAYYY more content and variety then this, assassin's creed titles continue to do this also.
Hella late but, I watched this video during a break from glitchless LASO. Heard the campaign praise. First playthrough, that's how I felt. It was refreshing, I was focused on the story, learning about the world. But collecting everything, listening to the logs, playing through for achievements... I realized how little any of my extra adventures mattered. And how the cosmetics I got from my legendary playthrough are the same ones someone could get on easy. Also I miss the bruteshot. Idk how they have a brute centered faction without the BRUTE shot. Can they replace the ravager with the bruteshot?
@@samueljohnston2516 I don't think the campaign is particularly bad, bud the story definitely is. When you have a story that you genuinely don't give a single shit about, because there are no stakes, Cortana dies off screen, Halo 5 doesn't matter, etc etc... well the game just kind of becomes a slog when you basically know exactly what's going to happen next. Open world halo just doesn't work because they can't spice things up with setpieces. Reach never felt samey even though it had far less options available to you for combat, and that's because it would always change up the music, atmosphere, enemy types, story motivation, and gameplay gimmicks (like 0G, spaceflight, Falcon roaming, Jetpacks and spartan lasers, etc.) The core gameplay I think is great in theory, but when you give a player that much power and freedom, nothing scares you. Banshee flying around? Grapplejack it. Ghost going straight towards you? Jump and then grapplejack it. Wraith shooting you from a distance? Stun grenade and then grapplejack it. Why even have vehicles for chief, he can just fuckin fly around like spiderman.
I'm glad you liked it, but I really felt that that open-world approach fell short. For me, the most enjoyable parts of the game by far were the linear sections. Still, the pacing in these sections could have been a bit tighter but I found the encounter setups were designed much better.
I really agree with you on this. Initially Halo was supposed to be an open world game back during combat evolves released but that did not happened because of a limited development time. I've discussed with other fans about halo infinite approach and I feel like at one point if Halo had been an open world game it would have evolved that way And this would feel like a much more grounded experience. But Halo has been linear missions ever since the first game and that's what it's truly become so I feel like the open world really doesn't work because the formula that we've been accustomed to and really enjoy is something completely different
Hell yeah! I'm truly proud of the state that Halo Infinite was able to rise to, giving some of the most fun in I've had playing the game since it's rocky start.
I haven’t touched infinite since completing the campaign only because of the multiplayer customization and forge . It sounds stupid I understand but hear me out, compare the customization from Reach to infinite it’s night and day and once forge is ready just imagine what kind of maps we can get. I love this game and I believe waiting till the right moment will be worth the wait.
I just hope forge arrives in time before the entire player base falls off, new halo fans have no idea how game changing forge is going to be once that comes out.
@@fewpew5787 I started playing Infinite like a week ago. However I still have to agree about the lack of content. I feel like I get the same maps every few rounds, and I do think the maps are good so I’m not complaining. It just seems like it could get really repetitive in the long run. Also I think they’re doing a good job with the free battle passes. BTW I’ve only played the multiplayer so far, so I don’t really have an opinion on the campaign.
343's Halo games were excellent shooters, especially 5 (despite the story). However, it's almost as if they were ashamed to be Halo titles. It felt like they wanted to be something else but were forced to wear the Halo skin. There was such a disconnect, a departure from the themes, tones and ideas of the Bungie games. The art direction only exacerbated this problem. I will say though, I LOVED their new forerunner art style. incredibly original and alien.
They needed to be more confident in themselves instead of just caving to complaints over and over again And yeah Halo 4 has the best art/music style I've ever seen in any game
Agreed. I absolutely fell in love with the forerunner/promethean art style. Sad that every hardcore halo fan hated it because it wasn't blocky like before.
Infinite is the best Halo I’ve played since 3 without a doubt. Everything you said including my feeling about the Ravager is true. I will say I have been loving the plasma rifle I used to think sucked so bad
I love the animation on this video, and while i do think infinite is a much better game than 4 or 5, and that the grappling hook is sweet, i also love giving the marines crazy weapons, but thats kinda it, like i didn't really feel like the story was present, i honestly felt more like a side character with the way they handled the story, like more of someone that missed his chance to participate but is at the after party regardless, i wouldn't say halo is back, but its definitely not dead, i didn't like the world design because it felt like i was playing far cry with a halo skin and felt kinda lazy overall, maybe its just that i miss having actual levels with lots if narrative and thought put into all of them versus one open world with scattered care here and there
Exactly my feelings. There was a severe lack of anything surrounding the gameplay - a completely forgettable story, dull and uninspired map design with few setpieces, annoying major enemies (Escharum especially holy fuck), and a limited multiplayer that is almost entirely a step down from the tight experiences of the Bungie games. I mostly played the campaign, and the map I'd say was the biggest offender of that experience. It was just straight up dead with extremely limited diversity owing to its singular biome and Far Cry style of hopping from enemy camp to enemy camp. Put it up against any above average open world (eg. Elden Ring, BoTW) and it's obvious just how little content is present in Infinite's campaign. And they charged $60! What a joke. The multiplayer was fine for a bit but got stale after I realized it was more-or-less the same as prior Halos, but just with a grappling hook and far fewer maps. Halo is dead and 343 killed it
Fun fact; the multiplayer is technically full release but in the game files it is listed as beta. With season 2 listed as the full release. They just released it early because the campaign was ready
I’m gonna be honest, I only captured the fobs to find “bosses” to get new weapons and find the ‘armor’ lockers, other than that, the open world felt incredibly empty and dead apart from occasional patrols and the strongholds I ended up circumventing while playing the missions. I try to forget the MP exists tbh as well, mainly because customs is useless, hardly any maps and those we have are meh, and no forge so. And I can’t make my spartan how I want which has always been important to me. I haven’t played in over a month lol.
I felt the same with the campaign. It definitely felt very lackluster to what we saw in trailers. I could see major improvements in the campaign through DLC to make the world more lively. But, it is very much a waiting game
@@tessie555 Yeah, totally. It has a lot of potential, but they really didn't do ANYTHING special with the open world this time around. It's just sooo underwhelming.
Yep. To be fair, Infinite always did a lot of things right. It does feel like Halo. The campaign wasn't amazing, but it was fine. It was basically just hitting the reset button. But at least the story wasn't "bad". It's issue was severe lack of content. Even the story is left pretty uncomplete planning for future addition. And it took them 19 months... NINETEEN MONTHS to get freaking Infection! And Forge! Absolutely ridiculous.
@sawdust8691 huge corporations means lots of people that everything has to go through, not to mention the amount of meetings. Minecraft is the same way, which is why It takes a long time for minecraft updates to even happen. Before notch could just add a update himself, but now since Mojang is so big, more people need to pass it along. Granted this might not be the case, but it does sound like it. Sometimes you can't rush the process, or you'll end up with something like cyberpunk
i felt like i was playing halo for the first time again when playing this lol, i beat my first run on it on legendary and even though i would have to deal with the annoying enemies i kept smiling throughout the entire game. not many games do that to me, and halo infinite really brought me back to loving the franchise again. any campaign DLC that comes to this game in the future im playing on that legendary run no doubt.
2:20 - "Like Breath of the Wild" has truly become the new "like Dark Souls." I didn't even know you did reviews but this was awesome to see and hear. I can't imagine how much work it takes to draw and animated all of this on top of the usual review tasks but I can at least say you did a fantastic job of it. The video was sufficently informative of each point through a barrage of words and visuals, with plenty of humour around every few seconds. Happy to hear you enjoyed the game as well; made it sound pretty tempting to me (well, perhaps when local co-op is added).
This is an Excellent video! It does feel weird to see fully animated videos on this channel after the “dragging around the screen” content. Not at all saying I don’t like either of those kinds of videos. They’re both a lot of fun to watch and I have no complaints. Just saying I got used to dragmation. (That’s an awful name for it. I know).
I'm really glad you brought up Sound Design. Sound Design is one of those things that can be nealry invisible when done right, but sticks out greatly when done wrong. Good sound design is something that rrally needs to be talked about more often.

Its good to see someone have a positive outlook on Infinites MP for a change, recently It really feels like the community is drowning out its good aspects with the bad (not to say the criticisms aren't relevant of course)
when you make extremely obvious mistakes and lied about everything up to the launch of the game, and even after 6 years it still sucked then its well deserved. because the only good aspects of the game are gameplay. thats it.
@@ToxicCoffeeTM there's only one positive with infinite, the gameplay, the campaign story feels like we missed out on on a halo game, the banished are underwhelming as hell, and cortana but not cortana but is actually cortana is meh at best.
With “new” features that should have been here since launch, season 2 being extended another few months or something, it makes it hard for me to have hope for the game. My friend enjoys it though, so that’s good. Edit: so forge and custom browser is out now which is great, they added the pit from halo 3 and the progression is better now. Co op campaign is here along with mission replay and they fixed an issue where the LASO achievement doesn’t appear. I have higher hopes now. They also give you the armour cores for free now so you only need to pay to customise them but thats what a free to play game does. This was basically a mini patch notes thing for people who missed it I guess?

I like the new halo, the only thing I really missed from the good old days were the assinations. Especially for multiplayer. Nothing felt more disrespectful and put you on a vendetta against someone more than some dude who just flanked you and stabbed you in the spine and broke your neck

I dont get shit like this. They didnt add anything that made the game worse, they didnt add any new bugs or take away any gamemodes, do people just hate on it just to hate on it?
@YourCaptainSpeaking "they didnt add any new bugs or take away any gamemodes" *Meanwhile, Infinite doesn't have campaign split-screen co-op and it's never coming even though fans have gotten split-screen co-op to work though bugs and 343 literally promised split-screen co-op will be a staple feature after Halo 5. Not to mention the lackluster of content waves compared to MCC and seasons pale in comparsion to other games that have perfected it. Oh and the cherry on top, $20 for a single armor set.* 💀
For real though, glad to see someone else enjoying Halo Infinite as much as I am! The advanced movement mechanics, both innate and as pickups, really elevate the gameplay above the other installments for me.
Hallo, a halo infant injoyer from December 2022, they promised more constant updates. They've already dilvered on 3 of their promises, and we have match experience, forge, multi-player campaign, 5 free armor cores for just installing the game, and right now because they feel bad that they have only got 2 battle passes or "seasons" out this year they gave us a free 30 tier battle pass with Mark 5 armor which looks so clean. Just more to add to the complements
match xp, coop, and mission replay should've been there from the start. i could've ignored forge being delayed if almost every other part of the game wasn't. 5 free cores but most of the actual armor is locked behind fomo events and stupid high prices. infinite can just piss off with all the bull it does.
I love the sound design the most. Story spoilers ahead…you have been warned. I love when the og halo music kicks in when the pilot is catching you with his pelican while you free fall from a falling tower when I say that part gave me chills I meant it
Iirc from other reviews game had some issues (don't remember what it was exactly but it didn't made me want to play the game. Short campaign? empty and unnecessary open World?), but this review makes it look like a perfect game with flawless gameplay, amazing story, great open world, etc. etc.
I just realised. I played 3 and Reach like a decade ago, and left the series after, I never touched 4 & 5. Then I picked up infinite out of nostalgia & it felt just like the Halo I knew. I didn't see the hype behind Infinite being a good game because I always assumed that this is the standard for Halo games. It was only when I read that 4 & 5 were trash when I realised that, coincidentally I just so happened to play the great Halo's and skipped the shitty ones. Kinda made me appreciate that Infinite felt like Reach & 3. Shows how the developers went back to their roots.
Yeah you've played all the Halo games I have, I skipped 4-5, and many years later saw 'em on here, and I definitely didn't miss much, Infinite on the other hand is a different story altogether.
For me I really like Halo infinite, like alot!!! So whenever I get kinda sad looking how the community is at the moment, I rewatch this and makes me more optimistic.
I think 343 is really refining what this video said, and with more frequent updates it seems like the next steps will lead to glory, I am so excited to see what's next
The ending with the oddball is so accurate. Everyone just seems to think the winning condition is to kill as many times as possible, when it’s actually just holding on to the oddball the longest.
2:58 "Summoning a vehicle out of the sky never gets old!" The reason why I play Just Cause 3 to this day! edit: Wait. Open world, a grappling hook, NPC friends jumping in the truck and shooting as you drive? This is literally Just Cause: Infinite!
I just got a PC with the right specs to play Infinite, after the intro music, a few wins in the Multiplayer, no ranked, 4 hours into the campaign, I can say this is the most fun first person shooter experience I’ve had in a long long time, other than Tiny Tina’s Wonderland but I don’t count that because I played that split screen with a buddy. I love this game so much I still cry every time I hear that intro music when you first boot up the game.
Halo as Circle said from a gameplay standpoint is indeed excellent. At the moment content is lackluster but hopefully, this is bound to change if 343 is swapping from contracts to actually hiring people. Given everything is known seems that's the plan.
@@rrkred3561 yeah no you can’t, coding is a lot harder than you think naive one. It’s just that call of duty has copy and pasted their code and changed some aspects and changed some numbers and called it a day.
@Riorozen I'd say infinite is at its core back to a classic style halo game, but the gun balancing is handled like how a CoD game would balance a weapon sandbox. And _not_ ironically, that's what's hurting the gameplay the most.
I can’t stress this enough but halo has made me the person I am today, day in day out playing this game for the same reason as so many people weather it be the gameplay, sound design or got damn the absolutely amazing music!

The best way I've heard Infinite described as is a "Diamond covered in shit". The core gameplay is excellent, as you said, the best since Halo 3. But monetization, PC performance, content, progression, and connection issues put a huge damper on things.
Thank you! This is exactly what I feel. I might get it for the campaign when it's on sale, but the multiplayer broke my heart.
I would say it’s more of a hollow diamond. Great game no content.

I will always stand by the notion that, for the campaigns with Chief, we peaked at the Flood. There will never be another antagonist as mesmerizingly incredible and terrifying as the Gravemind. Whole problem with sprint before was that it locked you into an animation, ruining the golden combat triangle. But now you don't have to wait, as you can fire right away. When it was released….
@@Kyotosomo Ah, I took content drought as in literally nothing coming out, I like to be abit optimistic - a few more maps is better than. . .no maps at all

Thank you. After months I've started to feel the same pain over lack of content but I've been totally satisfied with this game for months. The few gameplay complaints I have are all minor and ones I might even be wrong about (maybe halo combat feels better without collision but I still want it back)

7:41 I felt that on a spiritual level.
Exactly
The *Grapple Counsel* legit gave me chills. Seeing those legendary elders give their approval of the almighty Master Chief after he finally earned his grapple was kinda heartwarming ngl.
While I mostly agree with the positives, I have to throw in a few negatives myself.
Campaign:
- Open world is bland.
- ARMOR LOCKERS WITHOUT A SINGLE PIECE OF ARMOR XDXDXD
- The map is hostile twards vehicle play; Having played on Legendary, I felt punished for using vehicles and mostly opted to grapple my way around.
Multiplayer:
I don't really have alot to add to your points here, the gunplay is amazing but server instability drives me up the wall; the fact that the game crashes so often and you're not allowed to rejoin is a major upset, especially if you're playing ranked and are forced to lose nearly half your progress bar for "quitting"
Also, although I'm as hyped as anyone else for Forge to come out, I do think we need to consider the fact that its a dangerous slippery slope to expect Forge to fix the lack of content - as if we're expecting the community itself to do the Dev's work and construct solid maps and game modes while they just sit on the store front waiting to receive big bucks for a shiny new armor effect.
The game being open world added nothing

343's Halo games were excellent shooters, especially 5 (despite the story). However, it's almost as if they were ashamed to be Halo titles. It felt like they wanted to be something else but were forced to wear the Halo skin. There was such a disconnect, a departure from the themes, tones and ideas of the Bungie games. The art direction only exacerbated this problem.

Halo is dead and 343 killed it
Yeah far cry is exactly what it was, except take out all the reasons you play far cry and put a halo skin suit on it and make it run horribly

OMG FORGE IS AMAZING! It brought me wayyyy back, all the way to me playing Reach forge with randos online. The chaos, the laughs, the friends I made, it’s all back. Halo. Halo really is back, everyone
Considering the changes in the flow of combat in infinite
I guess you could say the combat evolved
i can't tell if i love you or i hate you
@@slickcalf985 you lote me
I like the new halo, the only thing I really missed from the good old days were the assinations. Especially for multiplayer. Nothing felt more disrespectful and put you on a vendetta against someone more than some dude who just flanked you and stabbed you in the spine and broke your neck
We may have our own thoughts and feels about the grappling hook, but we can all agree that grappling hook into GIANT HAMMER SMASH really hits different
much more of an energy sword person myself ;)
just something about the menacing red glow of the elite bloodblade and it's damage output is god damn g o r g e o u s
Awesome video man! Too bad 343 ending up murdering this game tho.
I dont get shit like this. They didnt add anything that made the game worse, they didnt add any new bugs or take away any gamemodes, do people just hate on it just to hate on it?
@@york9283 have you been living under a rock? The game is devoid of game modes, content and is riddled with bugs 😂😂😂
@YourCaptainSpeaking
"they didnt add any new bugs or take away any gamemodes"
*Meanwhile, Infinite doesn't have campaign split-screen co-op and it's never coming even though fans have gotten split-screen co-op to work though bugs and 343 literally promised split-screen co-op will be a staple feature after Halo 5. Not to mention the lackluster of content waves compared to MCC and seasons pale in comparsion to other games that have perfected it. Oh and the cherry on top, $20 for a single armor set.* 💀
@@york9283I don't get shills like you praising the company that killed Halo
I wouldn’t say murdered it, they just kinda left it with like 3 guys watching it’s life support for the next like 8 years
For real though, glad to see someone else enjoying Halo Infinite as much as I am!
This aged well.
Like a fine milk
This aged pretty well NOW.
Short campaign? empty and unnecessary open World?), but this review makes it look like a perfect game with flawless gameplay, amazing story, great open world, etc. etc.
12:44 this was painfully relatable, especially in Arena….
U should prob try to play the other halo games u missed out for better understanding of the story, and halo 1 and 2 were amazing so u have to try it
For me I really like Halo infinite, like alot!!! So whenever I get kinda sad looking how the community is at the moment, I rewatch this and makes me more optimistic.
Halo is back!
Oops! now it's gone again :)
I think 343 is really refining what this video said, and with more frequent updates it seems like the next steps will lead to glory, I am so excited to see what's next
Compare their game to Halo 3 and tell me you have hope lol they have no content compared to Bungie's better games
It's steps in the right direction
The ending with the oddball is so accurate. Everyone just seems to think the winning condition is to kill as many times as possible, when it’s actually just holding on to the oddball the longest.
2:58 "Summoning a vehicle out of the sky never gets old!" The reason why I play Just Cause 3 to this day!
edit: Wait. Open world, a grappling hook, NPC friends jumping in the truck and shooting as you drive? This is literally Just Cause: Infinite!
Try mercenaries 2 world in flames
Halo 5 did have a really good forge
I just got a PC with the right specs to play Infinite, after the intro music, a few wins in the Multiplayer, no ranked, 4 hours into the campaign, I can say this is the most fun first person shooter experience I’ve had in a long long time, other than Tiny Tina’s Wonderland but I don’t count that because I played that split screen with a buddy. I love this game so much I still cry every time I hear that intro music when you first boot up the game.
he should make another video about how it improved
This review was fueled by nostalgia
Hype*
Hope*
Unfortunately I believe that hope has been crushed.
Halo as Circle said from a gameplay standpoint is indeed excellent.
At the moment content is lackluster but hopefully, this is bound to change if 343 is swapping from contracts to actually hiring people. Given everything is known seems that's the plan.
Even though I've never played a Halo game before Infinite, it's already better than all of the recent Call of Duty's.
Fax
me without any game making experience can make a better game than call of duty...
@Riorozen
While Infinite is the worst in literally every other category right now, Halo's core gameplay is just that good.
@@rrkred3561 yeah no you can’t, coding is a lot harder than you think naive one. It’s just that call of duty has copy and pasted their code and changed some aspects and changed some numbers and called it a day.
@Riorozen
I'd say infinite is at its core back to a classic style halo game, but the gun balancing is handled like how a CoD game would balance a weapon sandbox. And _not_ ironically, that's what's hurting the gameplay the most.
I can’t stress this enough but halo has made me the person I am today, day in day out playing this game for the same reason as so many people weather it be the gameplay, sound design or got damn the absolutely amazing music!
10:10 Hi, halo Infinite player from the future, so glad they fixed that!
Ok so the game would be insanely good if it launched this way and had a progression system
Welcome back halo, we've missed you
Facts :)
Except Halo 5, we’ll forget about that 343 (:
Aaaaaaaaaaand it’s Gone.
Grappling hooks in any game is fun and dope
6:57 u made this seem like some dude had a dream that they added Jetpacks into Halo
