Something that I haven't really heard people talking about but I think is amazing is that at the beginning, the Pilot really does give master chef a gun with ONE bullet. He was saving that bullet for himself, which is some really amazing subtle storytelling, especially coming from 343

It is aparently quite common for pilots to have a gun with one bullet with them.It's for the pilot.There is no point in suffering a drawn death from exposure/starvation/dehydration, if you know that rescue is unlikely.

I played on Heroic and found the Pulse Carbine to be super useful, especially for breaking shields

The initial cutscene really does give Halsey credit, she's really built up the armour from the mk.IV (which got itself thwacked in wars 2). Its really visible in how it just takes the hammer directly and manages to survive relatively well whilst the mk.IV left the spartan badly wounded and armour probably irreparable and had to be replaced

Bro I play on heroic and the carbine slaps so hard. When I got the modified carbine I filled a Razorback with them. It was a laser of death. Putting the same gun on 5 marines and hopping in a Razorback has hilarious results.

I like how you don't need to pick up and swap weapons with marines anymore since they will scavenge weapons from the battlefield now. I wasted a lot of time giving the Covenant weapons back in Halo 3 and Halo Reach

The arc of this video was stronger than the narrative of Halo 5. He starts out loathing the Pulse Carbine and Escharum, but his experiences on the ring eventually shift him around to accepting them both, and he is rewarded for his open-mindedness with the return of Atriox.
It really is a beautifully told story with great character development. So was the game he played as well.

I remember joking about 343 pulling a Jul Mdama and killing Atriox off in the first mission of Infinite. And not even before the mission ended they announced he died off screen. I literally died of laughter and said there's no way they actually did it twice in row.
But thankfully that post-credits scene showed us otherwise!

They'll just keep expanding this story with probably either yearly expansions like destiny or some big dlc every 1.5/2 years. One of the dlc's (Probably the next one) is called "The Endless" so we'll definitely get to learn way more about them and maybe even fight Atriox or the endless.

That little pause after he said that is exactly my reaction, 343 did a really great job with the story telling in this game. They managed to portray chief as a quiet and reserved man of action like in the early halo games, while also fleshing out a lot of the deeper elements of his story.

This is the most human version of the Chief we've seen so far and I think it's handled here better than Halo 4. And im someone who likes Halo 4's campaign.
In the first scene where Atriox holds Chief over tithe void and has a chit chat, Atriox really reminds me of the Uruk-Hai.
The pulse carbine is actually incredibly at exactly mid range. Too close or too far away and the shots dont connect, but at exactly that perfect mid range it does crazy high damage.
Yes, it's niche like most if not all the new weapons.

Zanny tip for legendary: use the sensor whenever you can trust me it will save your life and make elite bosses far easier
TIP: the pulse rifle is genuinely good for shield shredding, pair it with a sidekick or any kinetic weapon and you got a noob combo
Another tip: mangler is the best options for the early 2 missions before you can find a BR, use it in conjunction with the plasma pistol because close range
On heroic you don’t even need to switch weapons, it murders everything 😉

Being able to switch between equipment mid fight helps a lot. Rapid Fire Pulse Carbine is god tier.
Pulse Carbine almost lives up to the old Plasma Rifle.

I really like Escharum, really hyped me up at the end to fight him and he was present throughout the story whether it be through audio logs or exposition. Yes it definitely would've been awesome if Atriox was the villain but as we know he lived and will 100% be in an expansion. Escharum was cool in the sense that he was an old warrior on his last legs wanting what any honour bound warrior would, to die in battle and who could've been a better opponent than Master Chief. Just my two cents though

I think 343i just wanted a temporary Atriox. They could've had him as the main villain but they wanted to save him for future instead of killing him off in Infinite. If they didn't kill him off, fans would've moaned about an "unfulfilling" and "incomplete" story while saying Halo 2 is their favorite campaign.
I think Harbinger was a waste because she was basically more of a salesperson for future Halo Infinite campaign DLC's.

On legendary I thought the pulse carbine had its place for sheilds, never thought it was bad
The Pulse Carbine slaps for taking out shields and performing the N00b combo. But honestly? It’s good against Grunts and already weakened enemies, too. It’s range kinda sucks, but in the campaign, enemies can hit you from like a mile away with it.

It's quite specialised, but if you use it at medium range it pops a Spartans shields almost instantly. If you then get in cover and swap to a precision weapon to get the headshot it's a very deadly weapon

I started playing it with my boyfriend since coop finally came out, and I’m blown away, I didn’t expect it to be so good, halo 4 and 5 let me down with campaign, I will say we’ve been playing on heroic and it’s way too easy lol, although the bosses around the map are crazy, we may end up going to legendary.
I get influences from the early halo games, and I love the map design, reminds me of evil within or doom, I can’t believe how high or low you can go it’s so fun to use the grapple. Also the enemies and marines are hilarious! They’ve also gotten a major upgrade and change, but I love that you still get those dumb funny game moments like marines falling into nothingness because they try to follow you when you fall down a platform and try to grapple up lol. I love the added dialogues when certain things happen or just in general, and the new voices and new looks to the enemies and marines, they also vary more in combat and weapon use.
I was worried that open world would ruin halo but I think they actually nailed it, which I feel isn’t that common, I love that you can go around the map and come across new side quests and always have something to fight or do around, also love that they leaned into people like me that love to go to seemingly unreachable parts of the map to find skulls and Easter eggs and just mess around or get new views.
My favorite has to be the little grunts they are so funny, also that one marine that sounds like a psycho when he kills the banished lol
as a halo speedrunner i was dissapointed by the open world but they did a nice job. actually felt like halo again...

In my legendary run, I used the pulse carbine in honor of Zanny to kill Escharum. It took about 4 hours, but I did it. Needless to say, that's my greatest gaming achievement to date.

No Atriox isn’t dead. There’s a post credit scene of him and the Endless (whatever they are). I think Atriox was in the explosion Cortana caused that damaged the ring, but Atriox being a badass he survived. But with his absence the Banished thought he had died, and Escharum rose to fill his rank.
Speaking of Escharum I actually liked his character. He was a mentor to Atriox, so he clearly is a formidable foe. But he is also dying. Escharum knows this and vows to go down in a blaze of glory so his legend lives on and inspires other Brutes. So he eggs the Master Chief on with his failures so they can face off.
I prefer how they chose to go with him instead of Atriox because if they didn’t they would have to had actually killed off Atriox as the final boss when they could use him more elsewhere.
They're saving him for dlc he was cut from the game

The brute bosses have armor that heavily reduces damage, hit them with explosives to strip their armor easily and kill them faster. Figured that out on my legendary playthrough.

@@Ki_Adi_Mundi Yeah, but the chieftains and bosse’s armor is far sturdier and takes multiple hits to take off one layer. Explosives just strips it off way easier.

The character development with the Pulse Carbine had me crying.
Its actually really good in multiplayer if you know how it works.
The pulse carbine really is a great weapon. The disruptor is pretty garbage though
@@Altronn the disruptor’s amazing. 3 shots triggers the dot in a small area which already stops people from shield regen for like ten seconds. Even just hitting one other person with it basically wins fights for your team. Six shots kills someone with the dot so you can also just run from them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, and the ability to set your own pace. This has the potential to be an amazing game with a really long play life, especially if they expand the islands using DLC or something... hopefully free DLC... and the MULTIPLAYER?!?! rock. solid. Feels exactly like playing Halo 2, 3, Reach with friends for hours on Xbox and Xbox360!
Considering it's F2P, I doubt any DLC will be free. The monetization is already kinda ridiculous in this game and needs some minor changes. Armour sets should not be exclusive to the store. If they are anyway, atleast reduce the price a little.

Campaign is only free with Game Pass so guaranteed they'll have expansions, considering how massive the ring is and 343 already said they want to make sure this entire thing lasts more than 10 years.

I developed an intimate relationship with the pulse rifle while playing through on legendary. The extra shield damaged helped a lot.
Atriox is quite *literally* the last thing you see in the campaign.
It's a cutscene exclusive to heroic and legendary runs of the game, this playthrough is on normal and thus he didn't get that cutscene

I thought escharum was an amazing character, he was a commanding and powerful enemy. He may not be the total badass Atriox is but he was an effective stepping stone towards the actual main boss of the Banished.
But Atriox was so badass though. They went through the troubles of setting him up with Chief in the opening cut scene and then just dump him out of no where.
@@anhduc0913 hes still alive tho. And think about it, would you rather him be killed off in the fight of this game, or have him be more reoccurring and have multiple badass moments? I think what they did was for the best
He's great once you stop comparing him to Atriox, which is a problem since the game starts with Atriox absolutely tearing Chief a new one and you spend almost the entire game thinking Atriox is dead and all you have is Escargot.

I beat the halo infinite campaign in 24 hours non stop on legendary, greatest weapons to use are the pulse carbine and the gravity hammer which after battles you can get from fobs. They buffed the pulse carbine it’s very useful for killing jackal snipers now.
My favorite RUclipsr, always makes my day so much better. Literally had covid, finals, ended a relationship, and was in isolation all within this month but this guys still makes me laugh.

Took my days to complete the game on normal. It’s so fun, the open world is amazing and collecting the audio logs to know what happened to the Infinity and who are the Endless can take many time. Best Halo campaign to date.
