amazing spider-man (2018) does this too and Miles Morales runs on exactly the same engine, there are less suits in Miles Morales than the other game so accounting for cut-scenes for this game would have been way easier, I don't know about anyone else but putting on the Spider-Armor suits made of metal in either game only to see the main character take off the mask and it flops around like it's made from some kind of cloth irks me a little whenever I see it.

I’m really liking the animations for miles. His combat and swinging still seem very clunky and fresh which is a very refreshing addition to him having just gotten his powers. It also sets him apart from the seasoned Peter we have from the first game that has more than a few years under his belt as Spiderman.

The final boss fight was one of my favorite boss fights in any game. It actually felt like you were fighting someone equal to your skill and not some damage sponge that you beat by using some repetitive formula, like the Rhino boss fight. Hat's off to the devs for making a boss fight actually feel like your fighting someone and not just dodge projectiles and throwing big objects at weak points

What I wanna know is, how come every single young person in New York is a super genius? Miles, Peter, Ganke, Phin.... Not to mention, Miles' uncle Aaron and Phin's brother. Kinda weird playing a game where most of the cast is twelve times smarter than I am. Come to think of it, Hell, what are the odds that Miles' best friend, and uncle, and Peter's boss, cop buddy, best friend, and best friend's dad all turn out to be supervillains? That's some crazy narrative convenience, right there.
Yeah, I don't like Miles being a smartass and using "science talk", too much like Peter but Peter is not so forced in thar regard. And Phin's intelligence is pretty forced too. Dr. Octopus taking almost the entire game just to make a prosthetic arm and Phin with 17 years mass-producing high-tech progammable matter gear that gives the users super-human powers.
Peter only makes sense. Since it has always been a natural part of his character. But the others? Not so much. Though some level of genius could apply to Ganke Lee.
Yeah Miles was never a super genius in the comics. He was a smart kid but nowhere near Peter. I think it would’ve been better to make him a normal kid here but his friend could’ve been the smart one.
After hearing so many negative things about this game it's nice to see Zanny so happy playing it and enjoying it so much, even going as far as saying that it might be better. Certainly high praise. I also think it's awesome that the final boss fight forced Zanny to legitimately try his ass off. I suspect the reason there weren't as many quips or jokes for that segment is because he was genuinely concentrating so hard he couldn't spare the mental processing power to come up with banter, which is a serious testament to the fight.
@lord-of-rhodor yes this game is a bit of a disappointment after the first game solely in the plot, everything else is amazing, including the fights, but the plot doesn't make sense, and when it does it is the most formulaic possible
I personally have to say that I hate bossfights that make you "lose" inbetween the cutscenes - if you wanna make the villain win then make it like in Jedi: Fallen Order where the last boss fight doesn't have a health bar...
Darth Vader is more like a unstoppable force that you don't have a chance at the time. Pretty much like Jetstream Sam in the beginning of Metal Gear Rising.
yeah it kinda makes the entire gameplay side of it redundant if you get curbstomped in the cutscenes. it makes sense tho in the first SM game tho when doc ock beats peter because both times peter is exhausted from fighting someone else. here it's just used as Villain plot armor. what i also hate is when the Boss gets a massively unfair advantage where the game has to resort to cheating because it can't beat you in a slug match.
I'm suprised he didn't show the boss fight between the prowler and miles. I don't think he should have skipped so many of the missions. Maybe he should have turned it into a series?
Seeing Miles portrayal in this game really makes it clear that Tom Holland's Spider-Man more closely resembles Miles Morales' Spider-Man than anything else (sans the other powers).

The final boss fight was one of my favorite boss fights in any game. It actually felt like you were fighting someone equal to your skill and not some damage sponge that you beat by using some repetitive formula, like the Rhino boss fight. Hat's off to the devs for making a boss fight actually feel like your fighting someone and not just dodge projectiles and throwing big objects at weak points
I wish they put this much effort into the bosses in the first game instead of … this person. I legit forgot their name the second I finished the game lmao

What I wanna know is, how come every single young person in New York is a super genius? Miles, Peter, Ganke, Phin.... Not to mention, Miles' uncle Aaron and Phin's brother. Kinda weird playing a game where most of the cast is twelve times smarter than I am.
Come to think of it, Hell, what are the odds that Miles' best friend, and uncle, and Peter's boss, cop buddy, best friend, and best friend's dad all turn out to be supervillains? That's some crazy narrative convenience, right there.
Yeah, I don't like Miles being a smartass and using "science talk", too much like Peter but Peter is not so forced in thar regard. And Phin's intelligence is pretty forced too. Dr. Octopus taking almost the entire game just to make a prosthetic arm and Phin with 17 years mass-producing high-tech progammable matter gear that gives the users super-human powers.
Peter only makes sense.
Since it has always been a natural part of his character. But the others? Not so much.
Though some level of genius could apply to Ganke Lee.
Yeah Miles was never a super genius in the comics. He was a smart kid but nowhere near Peter. I think it would’ve been better to make him a normal kid here but his friend could’ve been the smart one.
I'd love a Spiderman with a public school education, with a more jackass understanding of the world

After hearing so many negative things about this game it's nice to see Zanny so happy playing it and enjoying it so much, even going as far as saying that it might be better. Certainly high praise. I also think it's awesome that the final boss fight forced Zanny to legitimately try his ass off. I suspect the reason there weren't as many quips or jokes for that segment is because he was genuinely concentrating so hard he couldn't spare the mental processing power to come up with banter, which is a serious testament to the fight.
I think it's better in every way besides the length, honestly. I didn't realize there was hate for it lol

@lord-of-rhodor yes this game is a bit of a disappointment after the first game solely in the plot, everything else is amazing, including the fights, but the plot doesn't make sense, and when it does it is the most formulaic possible

I personally have to say that I hate bossfights that make you "lose" inbetween the cutscenes - if you wanna make the villain win then make it like in Jedi: Fallen Order where the last boss fight doesn't have a health bar...
Darth Vader is more like a unstoppable force that you don't have a chance at the time. Pretty much like Jetstream Sam in the beginning of Metal Gear Rising.
yeah it kinda makes the entire gameplay side of it redundant if you get curbstomped in the cutscenes.
it makes sense tho in the first SM game tho when doc ock beats peter because both times peter is exhausted from fighting someone else. here it's just used as Villain plot armor. what i also hate is when the Boss gets a massively unfair advantage where the game has to resort to cheating because it can't beat you in a slug match.

Seeing Miles portrayal in this game really makes it clear that Tom Holland's Spider-Man more closely resembles Miles Morales' Spider-Man than anything else (sans the other powers).
Spider-Tom and Ned are very similar to Miles and Ganke.
