Wrong. 343 Has been changing way too much and couldn't even make a new grunt animation. They modified the halo shit 5. Version and called it a day after some model swaps. It's such a shame that halo actually gives a fuck about modern shooters. Halo is fucked unfortunately thanks to 343

One of my favorites is an interaction between a grunt and an elite when they lose line of sight with the player; Grunt: "the human is gone! WE'RE SAFE!" Elite: "you're safe when I say you're safe. Keep looking!"
I liked a lot of the 343 art style, and I'm not afraid to say that I miss most of it, and I think they copy+pasted too many things from the original trilogy. Like master chief's mjolnir for example.

After the amount of abuse the alien races have been through, through all of the games I wouldn't be surprised they just slap together their armor now not giving two craps about it knowing they'll die either way
I’ve always loved the grunts they are special. Unique, cute and funny creatures. I think my favorite in-game are Halo 2 since you get to experience them often as allies and enemies. Really like the Halo 3 ones too. Would like to see the alternate H1 style and the grunt deacon from wars return. Reach ones were fun
Evolution of the drones would be cool along with the engineers. But for me my favorite version of the grunts has to be Halo Combat Evolved. Their design matched perfectly with their silly voices
Something else I saw about Halo Infinite grunts is that they have the ability to NOT go down with their own ship when going on a suicide charge. Sometimes if they think you're not watching, they ignite the grenades, run as fast as their tiny legs can manage, then just drop them at your feet and try to run clear of the blast.
The grunt goblin was such an interesting idea. To me a hackathon sounds like something that 343 could really use right now for Infinite to help prevent burnout in the team while offering the player base something unique and special to keep engagement.

Fantastic video! The Infinite Grunts have definitely become my favorite grunts in the series. I absolutely love the animation work put into them, there's so much personality in their exaggerated and goofy movements! You can definitely tell that the animators at 343 were having a blast animating them! Their dialogue is also top tier, with Glibnub's propaganda standing out.

A grunt in infinite once told me, master chief that he was gonna “punch me in my gas hole” and with a nice cherry on top he called me a mouth breather.
Not sure what a "Food Nipple" is, but I think the Brutes reference it in Halo 2's Arbiter cutscenes, while they're dragging Thel through the dungeon. I didn't care for the Reclaimer Saga design of the Grunts. The enlarged heads made headshots much too easy, so they weren't much of a threat, and their kamikaze attacks looked far too robotic. Bungie Grunts would scream and flail their arms as they charge at you, while 343's Grunts just hold both grenades over their heads as they speedily stomp toward you. Not as funny. I'm not opposed to their being multiple designs, though. Similar to how Jackals and Skirmishers are the same species, I always saw the new designs of the Covenant as something of a different "race" of the same species. The obvious exception here is The Arbiter, since he existed before the 343 games.
In contact Harvest they are described as free-standing food dispensers, with long tubes and receptacles that end in a nipple the Grunts use to distribute the food into their gullet.
I have only played the first Halo, so I'm biased. But I loved the Halo 1 grunts. So full of character, and screams. Lots of screams. I will never forget deciding to take a warthog up that twisty ramp in the snowy area, and not knowing there were grunts waiting for me at the top....until after 10 minutes of failing to get the warthog up the ramp I hear "What's TAKING him so LONG?!?" from at the top of the ramp. Another 5 minutes of warthog fails and then I hear "I can't take it any more I gotta KILL SOMETHING! RAAAAA" and me and my warthog were bombarded with plasma grenades. I exploded mightily, and was greeted with "DIBS ON HIS HELMET!" I couldn't help smiling at those adorable little f**kers lol.
Grunts are amazing, funny, and have some of the best voice actors acting them! It’s always great to find a unique grunt or hear rare dialogue from them. -Don’t be a bitch, play on heroic

halo infinite grunts are true cannon fodders, not just by design or made to be goofy aswell, i love them all as great enemies to come up against but during legendary or even laso runs, these grunts are the bane of nightmare cannon fodders with those ultras and disrupters, all players cant even peak out or even melee them cus they kill you so quickly, even during alot of rebellions they struggle against them, like covenant in the prophets if they succeed of taking control of high charity and yapyap wouldnt be a joke anymore, he be takin serious, hense why theyre truly called ''cannon fodders'', hopefully 343 will bring back some grunts of new ranks or even a unique boss like the grunt goblin along with grunt heavies, ultras and high explosive suicidal grunts (better than standard plasma grenade grunt suicide grunts)
I think Reach has the best grunts, they're readable, varied and all have nice designs. Only negative is that they have washed out colours and a bit much health.
Really enjoyed the inclusion of the Grunt’s pre release history. I may be a sucker for it, but it genuinely added to the video. Got some info for your future video on the Halo enemy that shares similarities with Sonic and whose name almost sounds like Lego. H1’s developers posted discarded work for the Hunter on Twitter. There’s an animation of the worms dispersing upon death (I wondered if that bit of lore was a hastily cobbled excuse for the lack of Flood Hunter form) and a model with an arm instead of the cannon IIRC. Can’t recall who posted this stuff, think Marcus Lehto retweeted it. Sheik posted on there his thought process behind the things he designed. The bit about Bungie attempting to turn H2 into a tactical shooter is news to me, is it true? I know the Pimps at Sea build of H3 has a leaning mechanic.
What I like about Bungie, and 343i they change the grunts even if it's bad change or a good change. My favorite Grunt is Halo Reach since it's one of those grunts that change the entire grunt design to have armors, and colors at the sametime. But Halo Reach sadly change their voice to deep, and native language. They function oppositely from their Trilogy counterpart.
Fun fact: Since grunts breathe methane, that implies that every time you pop a grunt's tank, you're releasing a potent greenhouse gas into the atmosphere. Also, that grunt impression at the end was flawless. 343 should consider you if they're looking for more grunt voice actors.
If halo infinite did the best at anything, it was the grunts. Infinite is the peak of grunt writing, design, gameplay, combat, lore, and character. 343 definitely deserves props for this no matter how you feel about other stuff within the game

The Halo 4-5 grunts give off more of that "so ugly its cute" kinda vibe tho. Cant forget about the Halo 4 Grunt buttcheeks 😂. Also that voice impression at the end was top notch. The "its the green man!" had me in tears.

halo infinite grunts are true cannon fodders, not just by design or made to be goofy aswell, i love them all as great enemies to come up against but during legendary or even laso runs, these grunts are the bane of nightmare cannon fodders with those ultras and disrupters, all players cant even peak out or even melee them cus they kill you so quickly, even during alot of rebellions they struggle against them, like covenant in the prophets if they succeed of taking control of high charity and yapyap wouldnt be a joke anymore, he be takin serious, hense why theyre truly called ''cannon fodders'', hopefully 343 will bring back some grunts of new ranks or even a unique boss like the grunt goblin along with grunt heavies, ultras and high explosive suicidal grunts (better than standard plasma grenade grunt suicide grunts)
I think Reach has the best grunts, they're readable, varied and all have nice designs. Only negative is that they have washed out colours and a bit much health.
Really enjoyed the inclusion of the Grunt’s pre release history. I may be a sucker for it, but it genuinely added to the video. Got some info for your future video on the Halo enemy that shares similarities with Sonic and whose name almost sounds like Lego. H1’s developers posted discarded work for the Hunter on Twitter. There’s an animation of the worms dispersing upon death (I wondered if that bit of lore was a hastily cobbled excuse for the lack of Flood Hunter form) and a model with an arm instead of the cannon IIRC. Can’t recall who posted this stuff, think Marcus Lehto retweeted it.

The concept of kamikaze Grunts always unnerved me.
I mean, we’re the ones on the back foot here yet they’re the ones employing suicide squads??
What I like about Bungie, and 343i they change the grunts even if it's bad change or a good change.
My favorite Grunt is Halo Reach since it's one of those grunts that change the entire grunt design to have armors, and colors at the sametime.
But Halo Reach sadly change their voice to deep, and native language. They function oppositely from their Trilogy counterpart.

If halo infinite did the best at anything, it was the grunts. Infinite is the peak of grunt writing, design, gameplay, combat, lore, and character. 343 definitely deserves props for this no matter how you feel about other stuff within the game
