I was really hoping you'd remake this video. The first one was great, but your production value has come so far since then.
notjux I watched his unboxing the other day. I laughed when he talked about how he wasn’t even looking forward to the game, and probably wouldn’t really play it. I was kind of the same way. I liked the models, but I wasn’t really looking for the game.

Armada looks so inmersive. Imagine how cool it would be to play Armada along with a Star Wars FX soundboard for maxium inmersion!
The year is 2024 and I am still using this video to learn how to play Armada. Better than all the other sources I tried to use including the official rulebook.

I’m new to this game my friend just started playing and we play a few games together so I’m trying to play now. He told me about you lol but after you explained it to me very excited to play ❤
I found one important thing: obstruction beats engagement, which means if you have a squadron on (for example) an asteroidfield, and the enemy moves his squadron onto the same asteroidfield, the attacks are obstructed and NONE of the squadron is engaged -> everyone can move away when ever hey want (on their activation-turn ofcourse)...
Did I understand that correct?

Have never played Armada, but just signed up for a tournament at LVO’21! This was a great intro video. I’ve watched most of Crabbok’s Legion and X-Wing videos; time to get caught up here.

Great video! Excellent Tutorial! Would you mind making more in-depth tutorial video's for X-WING 2.0? I'm a beginner player and tend to get confused about some of the add-on cards and other abilities. They're not that "clear" at times and hard to understand exactly what they do. A video or two describing some of the talents, sensor, tech, where to use them and what they do. Some are definitely not self-explanatory, at least not to a noob like myself! Thank you.

I was wondering if you could talk about tactics with specific builds whether is is armada or x wing. So present a list and say this is how I would try to fly it or this how I would attempt to fly against this. Thank you for your time and info

It would make more sense for critical hits to be downgraded to be classed as a hit against a fighter rather than ignored.

When attacking enemy ship and you get to attack them twice from your single ship due to double arcing, and you get to roll an accuracy result on the first roll and disable and enemy's defence, does it still have an effect on the second roll even if I didn't roll an accuracy?
How about when attacking from two different ships? Same results are rolled, does it still have an effect to the second ship?
@@asnpogi No the accuracy is only for that individual arc's attack. The next attack, even from the same ship, is an entirely new attack.

How about rolling crits and the enemy using the contain defence? How do i know which roll to cancel out?
Lance Selda I’m sure you’ve answered this already but from his explanation in the video contain is used to cancel out the standard critical effect, not critical damage. There will only ever be one standard critical effect allowed in an attack even if multiple critical dice are rolled but each one will still count as damage. If you use a critical effect from an upgrade card then contain won’t work.

This looks interesting (I’m early into the video). Are there games that are similar? Doesn’t have to be Star Wars (I like Star Wars but still)
Just a question regarding targeting multiple squadrons with one ship attack. I’m pretty sure the anti squadron dice result does not apply to every squadron within range of the same firing arc. Instead each squadron in this position will have a separate roll. In the rules explanation booklet it says that multiple squadrons can be targeted from the same firing arc but it also says to repeat steps 2-6 for each additional squadron, which includes rolling and resolving anti squadron dice.

My only complaint to make it look cooler was having the stands shorter that way you dont see it. Specifically for the star destroyer. Way to high up
If Fighter squadrons attack a squadron that has defense tokens, and the accuracy sides come up, can I choose a defense token that cannot be used? Same when a ship shoots a squadron with defense tokens?
I just received the core set, and I'm too burned out to read the manual after working for 24 hrs. Cheers. Any idea on when the squadrons 1 (for both factions) will be available? I'd like to run a bunch of A's and Y's just so I can say "I'm alright!" right before they blow up. XD
General question. Dose anyone know where I can get a replacement card board cut out or a properly scaled print out for the Victory class stand? Bought a used starter set and it's missing the base for the victory. I'm having the base 3d printed but I need the card board. T.y.

So ships are activated back and forth in a turn and not all at once? I activate 1 ship then my opponent activates 1 ship etc? If thats the case then who activates the squadrons that weren't activated via the dial first after all the ships have gone?

Crabbok is this how you are coping with the Rebels Episode last night?
If you move and shoot with a squadron command when you’re moving your capital ships does that mean that particualr squadron that you moved/shot doesn’t get to do anything in the squadron step of that round? Or could they shoot again in that phase?
I am curious, if you had proceeded to the next turn and moved the corellian corvette at speed 4, and if he could pass the star destroyer without overlapping on the other side, would the move be allowed to completed without a ram happening?
When a ship is about to shoot can it target BOTH ships & squadrons in the same attack?

I like to say X-Wing is to checkers what Armada is to Chess. My personal biased preference is Armada is the superior game but YMMV. Armada is currently my favorite game, I don't play X-Wing, but I do have pre-orders in for Legion as it seems a little more Armada like.
When I use the " moving road" for a ship,but I don't have special move power,can I put the "moving road" for the ship,then? ( right or left)
Question, I know this is an video I'm assuming you get notifications on posts. I'm confused on "play area" so ships are deployed within the 3x6 and can move anywhere within the 3x6, or is movement and deployment limited to the 3x4?

Mine simply fell out. That happens when you play as much as I do.
I have also found in certain weather conditions these fall out more. We had a tournament and it was a very cold and very dry day and everyone's number markers were falling out of their tools. Since that day, same tool, same tokens, maybe one has fallen out once.

Trying to put the TIE fighters on their stands is very hard. Any tips or tricks to help put them on? Tried looking it up, to no avail.
Be gentle but firm, and twist a bit to help them slide in without breaking

Why isn't tarkin seeing much play?
i thought according to the rules that squadrons cant attack and move on the same turn. So if they move and become engaged, they are allowed to attack?
Thomas Braunreuther Man, it’s been so long since I’ve actually been able to play the game, but, as I recall, squadrons activated via the squadron dial/token get both movement and attack, but a squadron that activates during the squadron phase gets one action.
... Ah. He mentions that around 10:20 when discussing the squadron command on the dial.
Where can I get some squadron pegs?
So you can only use one brace but can you use more than one redirect
You can only use one token of any given type, during a single attack. So only one brace, and one redirect when you are being attacked from Ship A's front arc. Then when Ship A takes a Side-arc shit on you, you can do it again.

What does a crit hit do in terms of damage?
It adds 1 damage to the total and counts as the attack being critical, which allows you to resolve the standard critical effect : (The first damage card dealt is faceup). Some upgrade cards have a substitution effect for that crit, replacing it with another. Multiple crits do nothing. 1 crit is the same as 10 crits in terms of the effect.
