Finally someone who has an innate sense of explaining rules clearly and concisely to someone! Great job man! I'm so tired of other videos going "Oh here is an awkward camera angle of my armada figures and I'll just go through the game and ramble on about rules" Keep it up man!

very good tutorial. Recently started playing this and while i did read the rules and what ever else was still iffy on how things played out with the game. This video cleared up a lot of things for me. Saved for future reference. Also who dosn't want the cool looking ships on the desk. Was the biggest seller for me.

"Star Wars has always been a WW2 series with a sci fi twist".......
That is because IT IS. The Empire has always been a parody of the Axis powers, more specifically Nazi Germany.
The Space battles is reminiscent of Carrier warfare.
While Star Trek(TOS) combat is reminiscent of Submarine Warfare with one episode, BALANCE OF TERROR is a almost scene by scene script of the movie, THE ENEMY BELOW(1957).

oh yeah... I have been thinking about this for over a year now. and I am trying to accomplish an entire Galactic conquest game along with custom characters. featuring the combination of 3 games. you are talking

On turning you said that on a vertical line, you can decide to just go straight. But isnt that wrong? That would mean youre decreasing your turn value by 1 meaning youd need a navigation command.

mistakes on the hits...all symbols except the accuracy (not focus) count as hits. So in the example there is actually 7 damage rolled with a crit in effect. You just resolve a crit if one is visible...no need to move it next to the damage deck (since each player has their own deck) after resolution of defence tokens if it goes to hull. Of course special crits from upgrade cards also resolve at that time and should be resolved before applying damage. Best example is Assault proton torpedoes. (APT)
Attacker shoots...rolls black - hit/hit/ hit/crit. For 4 damage. Defender declares tokens and where they are going to redirect to (if they redirect of course, this is important as some damage cards remove shields from zones)..then attacker declares the type of crit they are resolving either the default or APT (hint: Always choose APT) Then resolve the damage card from APT then the 4 damage as rolled.
Great graphics though if you make an updated corrected version I would definitely watch again.

On 18:15 you attacked with the black die that showed a crit and normal attack but you only dealt that as one damage. Thats wrong isnt it? Thats dealt as two damage.

  • @smitt270

When you do two Crits the second still counts as a normal hit I thought? Just seeing what you done at 18.40

Finally, the defender suffers damage equal to the
number of hit and critical icons remaining
(see “Ship Damage” on page 15).

When you set your speed on the speed dial, does it remain at that speed until it's changed? Like yes say you set your Corvette's speed to 3... does it stay there the whole game unless you change it with a speed command or token?

    • @harsh-rules
