Doesn't get enough love. This is an extremely detailed and clear breakdown of the steps. Best videos I can show to new members and friends wanting to learn how to play. Thank you even in 2021 this is still helpful 😊👍
Thanks I've had this game for a couple years now mostly as a ship collector. I could never make heads or tails of the rules when I'd sit down and read them. Now my son and I play all the time thanks to you!
Great Videos, would love to see a part III with advanced attack resolutions guides and some of the new expansions tokens explained like gravity wells, containment, etc
Another great tutorial. Your explanations are very clear and easy to understand. My sons and I have learned several games from your tutorials (both Tide of Iron and Axis and Allies). This one was a great refresher for us. Have you considered doing an explanation of Blood Bowl?
The ISD 1 isnt a “downgrade” it just has closer range dice meaning it has a different purpose which would be close quarters combat Edit: none of those are downgrades they all are good in certain situations
@@ericdraven7185 nice threadomancy, 4 years later. It was a suggestion to improve his content. If you have to modify the content it means you are not happy with it and would prefer it otherwise.
You missed explaining whether or not a critical counts as a hit normally or whether it's just a critical roll when it comes to ship attacks (turns out it does not)
Harsh Rules: Board Game Tutorials But I thought the SAME player would be first player every round (as chosen by the player with the highest initiative bid)?
I think I may have goofed. To clarify from the rules. The player who uses less points in their build gets to choose who gets initiative. They may elect themself or the other player. That chosen player has initiative for the remainder of the game.
By far the clearest and most thorough Armada explanation I have found. Thanks!
You're welcome! Glad you found it useful.

Ben Harsh... you are the friend everyone wants in their board game group.
Finally to the point without skipping around I am happy to learn from you
Brilliant explanation. Clear, concise.

I've been considering the new Warhammer 40K. I didn't think of Blood Bowl. Interesting...

3:10 (game phases in a round).
Such an epic intro!😎
you do not pass the initiative token to the other player, first player keeps it the entire game. It will just flip colors.
Tony This depends on which rule set you’re playing with. Beginner rules (or rules without objectives) pass the token.
@@DeclanTKatt Good to know! Thanks!
Fantastic job! I would however suggest updating it on new squadron abilities since the last few expansions have come out! But great job! +1 sub!
Thanks, Andrew! I'll have to look into those new expansions.
unfortunetly at 16:29 the points for the imperial ship upgrades are wrong. Should be 49 not 36. But great explanation video.
Highly useful. The use of examples is impeccable. I would advise you to try and speed up your vocal explanation though.
Thanks! I'm working on ways to speed up the pacing.
There is an option to speed up the video… I suggest you use that

Sent you required to have three objective cards in both fleets?
thanks!

Very clear! Thanks a lot! Great video!
You're welcome!
Great rules explanation. A quick question: Why is the initiative token handed over to the other player at the end of a round?
The token is just a way of communicating who has the initiative (who get's to act first) in the subsequent round.

interesting game but upgrades are expensive if you want lots of them.. is there a similar game that’s not Star Wars? Maybe that one is cheaper
I’m a total noob.. and early in to the video. So is there like a rule.. some sort of point system to limit the number of ships per game?
So I was today days old when I found out Howlrunner is a chick
6 round game is the stupidest thing ever…. You play until someone is defeated
You anser a lot hva
