  • Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my channel to get me 200 subs, you are all legends! This is a special video of all of my best horn recordings from November 2019 to June 2021, including the ones from my previous horn video! This is technically an updated video, however it contains many new clips, so it is definately worth a watch! Many different types of horns found on trains in South Australia and Victoria are featured, with manufacturers such as Leslie, Kockum, Nathan, RVB, WABCo and others!
    The horns seen in this video are:
    Leslie S3L, S5T and RS5T
    Nathan K2, K5L, K5UL-AU-LS and P5
    Kockum MKT-75 (the voice of a NR)
    RVB "Hurricane" 3 and 5 chimes
    WABCo A+B horn (SAR airhorn)
    This video also includes the Adelaide Metro 3000/3100 series two chime horn, as well as European-like two tone horns such as the CSR class's high tone horns horn, VLocity high tone horn and the Siemens set low tone horn.
    NOTE: If you want to use these recordings for your own use, be sure to ask me in the comments and I will consider your request so long as you credit VT29steamtrain and do not make any profit off it what so ever.

    A lot for American air horn, cool. I love Australian's railway because it is a mix between American and British railway trends.

    • @VT29steamtrain
      @VT29steamtrain  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, it started off as very colonial because most of the early engineers of each state's railway came from either Englan, Scotland or Ireland however as time went on Australian railways, particularly the SAR gained American influence from an American commisioner by the same of William Webb in the 1920s. After he introduced American style locos and rollingstock to the SAR, other states gained inspiration for their own railways. From that, it has just progressed with a decent mix of US and UK which makes up our railways.

    • @HybridBell

      They are referring to the horn. The Nathan K5UL-AU-LS’ tuning is loosely based off the Kockum Sonics MKT-75 5 chimes fitted to the NR’s. This tuning request was made by UGL Goninan. There were 2 prototype K5UL-AU-LS made before production.
