@Nalesh Hewavithana Doesn’t matter what she’s a service dog for. As long as the dog is temperament tested and has the right temperament, it doesn’t always matter the breed.

I like more "wolfish" looking dogs anyway! .... of course, if someone gave be a pug or bulldog or even a sharpei, OF COURSE I would love it. That's how much of a sucker I am for dogs.
Actually, medieval people had dogs that were bred solely for working conditions, so they too would be the ones to be breeding their German Shepards with straight backs and good legs. They'd be so severely confused about why we're breeding them for looks over function.
It's so nice to hear someone talk about finding an ethical breeder - people seem to think they don't exist at all but you just have to be willing to put in the time to find one! As someone with allergies that can only stand to be around low-shedding "hypoallergenic" breeds, adoption in my area for such dogs is basically an impossibility. When it's time for me to have a dog, I know I'll be researching a lot before settling on a breeder.
Yes, exactly! There's even breeders breeding dogs like pugs and french bulldogs, trying to get their longer snouts back so they don't suffer breathing problems. Someone tell me that isn't good breeding.
actually you can look for hypoallergenic breeds to adopt like maltese f.ex, but you may have to travel to pick them up and also the dogs will most likely be adults or even older or mixes, not 100%. But you can still bond with them and they will love you :) If they have those more friendly for allergic people genes, chances are that you won't experience allergic reaction even if they produce some allergens

My grandmother had a German Shepherd when I was a little girl and her hip dysplasia is why she had to be put down, she could barely move by 8, show line. She was beautiful and sweet. She was like a moose, she’s the reason my husband and I want a German Shepherd, we’re gonna be sure to hunt for an ethical breeder and we’ve already kept fitness and joint supplements in mind!
There NEEDS to be a modern day movement to update the existing standards of what each pure bred dog should look like. The updates should be in the best interest of the dog and focused on clearing out any standards that would bring long term health issues to its breeds.
I know that the British Kennel Club has put rules in place where by dogs have to be vet checked as well as checked by the judge and even if a winning dog passes the judge if the vet questions the dog's health then the best of breed for that dog is ceased for that year. They have also in recent years refused to include certain breeds in their shows until the breed becomes more healthy. I know that this is far from enough but it is a start.
In photos from 1800s, & old paintings: Pugs, Bostons, Bulldogs, etc looked so much better with muzzles! I do not understand how smooshed noses became a "standard". It's obviously unhealthy & ruins the dogs! How can breeders claim to love a breed when they insist on traits that cause suffering?
Yes!! Especially with docking tails/cropping ears on breeds like dobermans as well. There's no excuse for making a cosmetic surgery into a breed standard
All the AKC mainly cares about is collecting their fee for bloodline registration from breeders. They’ve actively lobbied against dozens of puppy mill reform laws in many states.
The owner is obviously a fan of technology and the name suits a black dog very well. I worked with a predecessor of Vanta Black many years ago. DuPont had a black paint that used crystal fibers (not quite nanotubes) that would absorb all incident light. It was perfect for reducing (essentially eliminating) the internal reflections in a medical device that bounced light off a sample being measured. We'd machine the interior of the sample bay and then spray it with the DuPont "ultra black" paint (which cost almost $1,000/gallon) The result was eerie because all of the internal detail disappeared to the eye. Thirty years later we've got carbon nanotubes and even better absorption of incident light - it must be surreal to experience in person!
When I was a kid my aunt had a German Shepherd, Donna, on her farm. Donna was such a sweet girl with a very straight back and rather long fur. She never minded me and my sister playing with her all day and she was always joyful and sweet to us.
Yeah, great memories, she was such a gorgeous and great dog. Now my aunt has a mutt named Seppl (classic German name) who looks like a Leonberger but there is everything in him but Leonberger. He's a pretty great dog too, but Donna was special
I have a MallinoisxGSD mix and I couldn't be happier to hear about healthy breeding! I'm all about that straight back! When I decided to get a second dog I looked for a Mallinois because I was afraid of the back/ legs problems a GSD could have. Then, by absolute chance, I found my boy Rufus! His parents are both working-line, superb specimens, GSD mother, Malinois father. He takes after his father in physique, endurance & health and after his mother in nature and calmness. One of a lifetime dog!
It's so nice that some breeders are trying to create healthy dogs, instead of just dogs that us humans think "look" right. Part of the reason why my family has always gone for mutts is because they usually have less health problems and they tend to live decently long lives. It's cool that some pure breeds are finally being bred ethically.
@@miss.scales7159 same with purebreds. It's just that purebred parents are way more likely to have had recessive issues that the puppy is far more likely to actually inherit and be affected by
@@miss.scales7159 Of course, purebreds usually just have more problems a lot of the times- especially where I live. There are a lot of bad breeders here.
She's so cute! I'm glad there are breeders who are trying to undo the genetic problems in the breed that resulted from poor breeding practices. Edit: Clarity
"For a 1 year old dog, that has never been to a groomer before, Vanta's temperament is excellent" - shows her very expressionate face. I actually laughed out loud!
I'm 70 and I remember when I was a kid, German Shepherds were straight backed. I could get on my soap box and preach a long sermon about stupid show standards that have ruined some breeds (shepherds, pugs, bulldogs, and English Bull Terriers for example). Vantablack is a beautiful and healthy girl and the snotty breeders who say she isn't show perfect can go pound sand.
It's so bad! People mess up just about any animal. The latest craze is making cats have tiny stubby legs that can't move properly. How the heck do we end this madness?
While I am not for animals with genetic abnormalities that make it hard to live (like the dachshund or pug), apparently munchkin cats aren’t prone to any more health problems than a normal cat, nor have any breed specific problems. Not for or against Munchkins (I have a ‘mutt’ cat myself) but I thought I should put that out there.
@@aruemon78 I've looked into it, but there's always going to be conflicting info for everything. From what I've read it's pretty awful. The majority of the litter doesn't make it (so said the breeders). They have joint and bone trouble, arthritis, behavioral disorders due to not being able to exercise as a cat should, sometimes their organs can also be affected by the mutated gene and fail them.
We had a German shepherd and husky mix, and he loved being on duty. We didn't have a lot of tasks for him to work with, but he would just find his own work for us. Finding "missing" children in the house, guarding and watching us kids while we played outside, scaring off "intruders", knowing how to get back home with a simple command. He was a rescue, so it was hard to believe someone could ever give a dog like him away... I miss you Jack...
Its nice to see someone promoting the "working" instead of the "bench" lines. in high-school i had a teacher who was sooo proud of her shepherd, he was only 2 years old - on glucosamine supplements and 3 types of pain relievers. I don't think he made it to 3. she actually preferred the show line dogs.... i still remember how cow-hocked he was. I'll never understand it.
I used to have a German Shepard that looked just like Vanta, her name was Abby and she was a stray. She unfortunately passed a while ago due to the same back issues you talked about in this video, so I’m really glad you mentioned ethical breeding. Love your videos and your work!
What a beauty she is! I LOVE that you talked about how breeders have ruined the German Shepherd Dog by that horribly curved back, and how they are now forced to practically walk on their hocks. I rescued my female GSD. She does not have that ridiculous, and dangerous feature. I blame the AKC and the AKC breeders here in The States. I watch your videos faithfully everyday. Keep ‘em coming! ❤️🐾
I hate, HATE what show breeding has done to our best friends. Such a disgusting treatment of our loving, beautiful companions over so many generations. But at least there are good people putting it right.
I agree. I think that show standards need to be changed as well as having some sort of test to see if a dog can actually do it’s original job since that’s the idea behind a dog show.
My ex did a lot wrong, but at least his all-black German Shepherd helped me get over my dog phobia. I was attacked by a dog when I was young, and had been afraid ever since, but his beautiful black GSD was loving, dopey, intelligent and soft. As much as I would hate seeing my ex again, sometimes I really just wanna pet his dog.
I hope that you can find a nice dog-friendly café in your area to get your puppy fix. I don't know if you're in a position to volunteer time, but shelters are often looking for help walking and socialising their dogs.

I've never had a big dog and my partner brought home a German Shepherd rescue and I was worried she was too big. After one month she has become the best dog I've ever had. Loyal, loving, fun and smarter than most humans. Her intelligence blows me away. Best dog breed ever.
We had a German Shepard growing up that was from 2 police dogs so “working” line. Since she was an extra pup (ie, free!) we were super lucky to have her. And she lived to 16!
Thank you for posting this video. Mine is a solid black Belgium shepherd. No health issues yet. He's almost eleven years old. Still gets mistaken for a lab. His first five years he was my cowdog. After my right foot was amputated I retrained him for my service dog. Those two months were a breeze. I even had to socialize him. I can't see myself without one at my side. A shepherd is a blessing. Enjoy many healthy happy years with your beautiful shepherd.
She is super calm. Really well trained. I got over my dog fear when my dad adopted a German shepherd, Sarge. I couldn’t escape her in the house. She was a super chill dog, even without training. All 4 of us kids under 10 would “walk” Sarge around the neighborhood. He always came home. My mother and I had to put him down when he was 15. My dad and brothers were away. Hardest thing I’ve done. He had bad hip dysplasia and could no longer stand on his back legs, so he dragged himself. We couldn’t let him suffer. So happy to know that there are breeders trying to breed back healthy specimens.
Honestly, the stuff people did to animals like dogs and especially horses back in the day is heartbreaking. No animal should go through it for a human's amusement or fashion
Yeah, I own two dachshunds who are definitely victims of aesthetic breeding, and a thoroughbred. Thankfully my old horse is not plagued by more than bandy legs, but my friends almost all have younger steeds with congenital issues ranging from kissing spine to almost palpable psychosis.
Back in the day most of the dogs were healthy as they were all mostly working dogs. It's today that breeding is getting out of control and making dogs that spend their lives suffering.
Yeah. Rescued a Papillion/Chihuahua mix from a breeder who threw her out into the road because "she was a runt and didn't look right". She's one of the cutest, prettiest dogs I've ever seen. Her hair is all wispy and soft. I don't get what they were saying. People are so gross.
Vantablack has a beautiful black and shiny coat. She's perfect in every way, show dog or not. I love that how these dogs makes us happy whenever they wear the happy hoodie
Back in the days my old Shepard was bred by military so he lived for seven teen years. We got him because he didn't not fit standard tests as puppy. So they allowed adoption. To this day we kept his ashes in small necklace capsule because that's how good of dog he was.
She definitely has the temperament for a service dog, she was awesome for her grooming. Nice touch with the PSA on the breed for prospective adopters of a new family member.
I have every ounce of respect for those trying to breed out the messed-up genes we've stuck these poor animals with ♡ Saw someone who's de-squishing the Pug's nose!
There are 5 types of German shepherd! The working lines and show lines are very different dogs, working line or straight back can still suffer with hip issues. The original German shepherd was a straight back. The German show line which has a sloped back should not be confused with the American show line who’s breeders have taken the sloped back too far just to get a nice pose and trotting movement. The German show line is a far better breed compared to the American line, they do have the slope but it doesn’t mean they are doomed to poor hips. The German line has really really strict breeding standards. All shepherds are not born equal and if ever considering one it’s advisable to go for one with Eastern Europe lines.
I really home so too I think the pugs temperament is so nice but I’d never adopt one. Event the Pomeranian my family rescued from foster care has breathing problems because her nose is so small.
I agree! I saw some folks getting super *super* BIG MAD about that because 'well if they do that then it's not the same breed! I love the sound my pug makes when he breathes, it lulls me to sleep!' Like, okay, but 1) it's healthier for the dogs and 2) That's the sound of the dog you 'love so much' struggling to breathe.
She's beautiful, and I'm so happy to see her good body shape and that the breeder is prioritizing the well-being of the dogs. Also I love her name, that's amazing! (Art nerd is gonna nerd)
It makes me so happy to watch someone so dedicated to dogs not being mistreated or breed simply for aesthetic reasons. Your videos are very informative about every breed of dog you work with! As someone who has taken my dog to a groomer who mistreats animals and see's it as only monetary gain, it is so reassuring that there are people like you who are educating the public about so many different breeds while also taking care of their specific needs. Please never stop the great deeds you are doing and educating dog owners!
For anyone that is wanting a German shepherd, be warned that due to overbreeding and improper care of the breed a fair amount have behavioral issues. If cared for properly from pup, these can be nonexistent but in some rescues management of behaviors is key. Don't get any dog if you are not prepared for some work, both physically and mentally
Can't thumbs up this enough. My wife volunteered at a shelter and the number of pets they received because people were not prepared to care is depressing.
@@seapeajones my family rescued a Pomeranian this year from a foster and we were basically at the top of the list since we had experience with a Pom. Poor thing didn’t even know how to use the stairs and was so skinny when we got her. She’s using them now. It’s amazing to see her pop her head in my room and get zoomies😄
I have had 7 GSDs over the yrs, all but one were rescued. And out of all of them, only 1 really had behavioral issues, which ended up being caused by the fact that she was losing her sight. One ended up with pretty bad joint problems in his old age. The rest were all wonderful, healthy, intelligent dogs. I hope to never go without a GSD in my life!
To be fair, earthworms are pretty Eldritch. They’re small and cylindrical, slimy, move without legs, appear to not have a mouth or anus unless you know what to look for, have no eyes, can regenerate lost segments (to an extent), etc.
My Black Shepherd is exactly as described. Mine is almost 18 months old, irreplaceable and precious family member. You can’t overestimate the dedication needed in the breeds upbringing as they will always behave according to their environment while young. They are in tune and sensitive, therefore will faithfully do what is asked of them, often without speaking a word.
Thank you so much for talking about ethical working line breeders, there's so little awareness out there about them! I really appreciate your canine knowledge and that you're helping educate others in that field, all while giving us great doggo content.
When I was twelve, I would go to the pond next door and look for frogs, tadpoles and dragonfly nymphs. I once had a pet praying mantis and kept him in a fish tank. I spent a lot of time catching bugs for him to eat. Yes, I was a tomboy.
I don't know my dog's breed because adopted as a stray, he is not a pure breed for sure. Often people jokingly said he looks like a fox. Now that I watched this video VentaBlack is strikingly similar to my pupper. ❤
I absolutely agree with your comments about the breeders. I grew up with German Shepards and looking at them now and what had been done to them makes me want to cry. Thank God that we still have some great breeders and the produce fantastic looking dogs !!
I love GSDs have had 3 of them and they all suffered from Hip dysplasia/allergies. I'm glad to see a breeder trying to do what is right for the breed. Vantablack is a beautiful Sheperd!
Even well bred Shepherds have problems with hip dysplasia. It's a common problem with herding dogs in general. Just that the "show bred" Shepherds dial the problem rate and severity up to 11.

I love my working line German Shepherd. She’s healthy, has been easily socialized, and has been so much fun to train through her puppy years. Not too mention yes, they are gorgeous and a much smaller size!
I am so glad you talk about the issues of show line breeding. So many show line breeds of dog have become malformed and unhealthy and I'm so happy you bring attention to the benefits of going for working line dogs!
Always bought a working line GSD from a reputable breeder. My best friend who also is a black GSD passed just 8 days after his 12th bday. Best dog I ever had, did Schutzhund and French Ring with him. RIP Igor
Thank you for speaking about using working-type breeders for those interested in purebred animals. In the horse world, the issue with many breeds is with "halter class" lines, or lines bred to "look good" with exaggerated features as a juvenile and young adult when shown in-hand (as in, not under saddle and only with a halter). The problem is that these horses age out of their viable show years quickly and face the rest of their lives (potentially into their 30's) with poor conformation making them subject to many physical ailments. This also makes them very a poor choice as a saddle horse, meaning their only real application outside of showing and breeding is pasture ornament or shipment to a processing plant of some kind. Aside from halter classes, this is also done to racing thoroughbred horses- they are bred solely to go real fast until maybe 7 years old at the absolute maximum
When I was 5yo I was impressed by a german shepperd who was watching me from his close gardent when I was walking in the street. The owner invited my mother an I in her house. What happyness to meet this so kind dog for a child It was a first lesson for me from an animal

thank you so much for educating people on ethical breeding! adoption isnt realistic or responsible for everyone but unfortunately, the "adopt dont shop" trend made people think all breeding is inhumane and adoption is always better. in reality, theres TONS of breeders that care about the health and quality of life of the dogs they breed before anything and a lot of people arent educated about the breed theyre adopting or the health of the dog which creates returns and even abuse situations. buying from a breeder can be an amazing option too, people just arent educated on how to spot good breeders!
@@KimJongUnnie roughly 1.5 in the US and theyre not being "slaughtered". euthanasia is a fast and completely painless death just like falling asleep. most of the animals put down are sick and suffering; forcing an animal to live in constant pain or in a way that prevents them from experiencing life in a healthy, enjoyable way is much worse than allowing an animal to fall asleep to end its suffering. there are some that get euthanized due to overcrowding or lack of resources which is sad of course, but would you rather the animal stay alive, forced into a box with too many other animals (that might harm each other if one happens to be aggressive) and not having access to medical care, food or basic enrichment because theres so many animals that they cant all be cared for? yes, its sad when an animal gets put down. yes, in an ideal world there would be a loving and perfectly responsible home for every animal out there. but there isnt, human care is a finite resource and not everybody who WANTS a pet is capable of caring for them the way their animal needs them to. 20% of shelter pets get returned to the shelter. this is largely due to lack of education on breed behaviors, medical issues the new owner cant take care of and/or finances- things that a good breeder will have you prepared for or will breed to eliminate as much as possible. i want to be clear; im not saying shelters are inherently bad or breeders are inherently good. im saying that adopting a shelter pet is often not the ultimate good deed that people think and that its often a MUCH more difficult route in terms of getting a pet with behavior issues, not knowing their past, not knowing the breed, being unable to predict medical issues, etc. and buying from a breeder isnt bad as long as you take time to only support ethical breeds, breeders that ensure health goes before looks, breeders that take extensive care of their animals, etc. as just one example, someone may aim for a breeder over shelter to ensure they can financially care for the animal its entire life since well bred pets will have few medical issues and any that are at risk, youll be able to expect the moment you get them, giving you time to save up for it. shelter vs shop is a much more complicated discussion than it seems you think it is and if you believe so hard in shelters, id highly recommend you spend time working in one to see the day to day reality and understand that it isnt an inherently good experience for anyone; its dependent on who is looking for a pet and who is in control just like it is when they look for a breeder. i agree with the belief that nobody should be allowed to breed unethical, unhealthy breeds that dont ensure quality of life for the animal but please consider that there are breeders that are trying to ensure that animals can live healthy, well-cared for lives by breeding only the healthiest ones and ensuring they go to capable homes as well as understanding that there are flaws in the shelter system that dont ensure the same measures for the pets they adopt out. it doesnt mean either option is evil or angelic. its all relative.
It adopting can also be very heartbreaking. It's funny how people don't even judge you if you have your own child. But they judge you if you purchase a dog because you want certain qualities. I did adopt a German Shepherd. She was not ethically bred. She had very bad hips and I ended up having to put her down at 3 years. I still can cry and that was 10 years ago. I will never invest that much of my love, time, training, and money into a dog that I know doesn't stand a good chance of being with me for a decade.
Yeah, as well as normal black and tan Shepherds can also be Black, White and Silver. Possibly other colours, those are just the major ones. I have been told White Shepherds tend to have aggression problems, but I haven't looked it up.
The all black German shepherds are a thing of a beauty. I have only seen one before in real life. One of the most beautiful dogs I will ever see guaranteed
This was amazing and wonderful, wonderful news. As much as I've always loved the German Shepherd, I lamented that it was a breed designed to look a particular way with long-term outcomes of pain and suffering. To know such good news that there are breeders creating a line of German Shepherds *not* destined to have hip and back problems is the best news I've heard in a while.
The breed wasn't really designed that way, and there have always been healthy working lines around. The show lines we see today are a relatively recent phenomenon and are not true to the standards originally outlined for the breed in 1899 and generally followed for several decades afterward.
They aren't creating a line, the working lines are the original GSD lines, the show line dogs come from the working line dogs. If you look at how the show line has changed over the years, you'll see that the original dogs were straight backed. Unfortunately the line that is the most physically unhealthy and has the most extreme slope are the American show line dogs. I have owned GSDS all my life, they are the best breed of dog in the world, but they ALL require a lot of time and attention, basic obedience is a must, as well as proper socialization . Anyone who is considering getting a GSD needs to do a lot of research on this breed, and honestly ask themselves if they are willing and able to make the kind of commitment these dogs deserve. These are extremely loyal dogs, and don't do well without their owner. Please don't take a German shepherd to a shelter, as the majority of them will be euthanized. If you had the determination to get a GSD and it isn't working out, at least have the decency to take the time to look up a rescue or find someone else who will give the dog a good home. That's the least you can do for this greatest breed of dog. Thank you
Hooray for responsible breeders. Vanta was a saint and perfect for her first groom. I think Vanessa's calm demeaner sure helped. GSD's are in shelters a LOT, some due to inexperienced owners who didn't investigate what kind of dog to get for their lifestyle. It's a shame to see them in the shelters, ,some being kill shelters. Thanks Vanessa for the education you give on this and other breeds. They deserve the help.

There NEEDS to be a modern day movement to update the existing standards of what each pure bred dog should look like. The updates should be in the best interest of the dog and focused on clearing out any standards that would bring long term health issues to its breeds.
Agreed. I wish we would just develop apnea head and neck features out of breeds. The amount of breeds that have that squished face boggles the mind.
Vanta Black is a fantastic name for a black german shepard
@Potato en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vantablack
Hopefully Anish Kapoor isn't gonna try to buy the dog and turn her into a weird beanshaped sculpture lol
The inventor is a giant prick though.
I suggest you actually look up the controversy behind that name and then re-evaluate your statement
Watching this in 2023 and it’s awesome you have one of her puppies now!!
When I was a kid my aunt had a German Shepherd, Donna, on her farm. Donna was such a sweet girl with a very straight back and rather long fur. She never minded me and my sister playing with her all day and she was always joyful and sweet to us.
She loved you.
@@hothotheat3000 yes, she did. She died peaceful in her sleep five years ago, but I will never forget her.

Yeah, great memories, she was such a gorgeous and great dog. Now my aunt has a mutt named Seppl (classic German name) who looks like a Leonberger but there is everything in him but Leonberger. He's a pretty great dog too, but Donna was special

Do they have a surname called Amadeus or Mozart? 🤣
@@chimpurinkohimiru8920 nope! But he was a big dog

We used to have a cat when I was very little called Wolfgang.
The only thing that could possibly top that would be a history teacher with a dog named Joan of Bark
A mutt is only as healthy as its parents 🤷
@@miss.scales7159 That is very true!
@@miss.scales7159 same with purebreds. It's just that purebred parents are way more likely to have had recessive issues that the puppy is far more likely to actually inherit and be affected by

The only reason they have those health problems is due to show line breeders deliberately breeding for the sloping back.

I like you ^_^
It's so bad!
@@ZebraLuv Fair enough. It seems like you’ve done more research than me.

This might be my favorite video yet. It's full of positive breeding and cuteness.
Yeah,it's unbelievably cruel. Poor dogs who can hardly breath. Not to mention clipped ears + tail...
@@s.a.l948 Yes, it's really gross that AKC "breed standard" for boxer dogs means amputating their tail.
I agree. I think that show standards need to be changed as well as having some sort of test to see if a dog can actually do it’s original job since that’s the idea behind a dog show.
Never buy AKC. They ruined the health of thousands of dogs.

Vantablack is outstanding both in looks and personality. From this brief glimpse of her I would surmise that she is also a standout in her role.
I've never had a big dog and my partner brought home a German Shepherd rescue and I was worried she was too big. After one month she has become the best dog I've ever had. Loyal, loving, fun and smarter than most humans. Her intelligence blows me away. Best dog breed ever.
What an absolutely gorgeous black German shepherd!
We had a German Shepard growing up that was from 2 police dogs so “working” line. Since she was an extra pup (ie, free!) we were super lucky to have her. And she lived to 16!
The breeders did a great job!
She is a real beauty. Glad to hear that ethical breeders are looking out for the breed. Awesome job as usual. Love Dogs, and your videos.
Dog shows and KCs have a lot to answer for when it comes to many dog breeds.
She looks just like my Corvus. His back is very nice and straight.
Great name.
Literally modern dog keeping
Agree!!!
Yeah. Rescued a Papillion/Chihuahua mix from a breeder who threw her out into the road because "she was a runt and didn't look right". She's one of the cutest, prettiest dogs I've ever seen. Her hair is all wispy and soft. I don't get what they were saying. People are so gross.
She is so trusting, calm and patient, absolutely a gorgeous dog!
Vantablack has a beautiful black and shiny coat. She's perfect in every way, show dog or not. I love that how these dogs makes us happy whenever they wear the happy hoodie
The happy hoodie was intended for them, but really it's for us too
Back in the days my old Shepard was bred by military so he lived for seven teen years. We got him because he didn't not fit standard tests as puppy. So they allowed adoption. To this day we kept his ashes in small necklace capsule because that's how good of dog he was.
Vantablack is a beauty! I had a German shepherd when I was younger and she was very loving and devoted
What they've done to Pugs (and even Boxers) noses is just plain cruelty. I hope they successfully 'desquish' these animals.
@@BlackCoffeeee Dont forget english and french bulldogs
I love the sound my pug makes when he breathes, it lulls me to sleep!'
Like, okay, but
1) it's healthier for the dogs
and 2) That's the sound of the dog you 'love so much' struggling to breathe.
She's beautiful, and I'm so happy to see her good body shape and that the breeder is prioritizing the well-being of the dogs. Also I love her name, that's amazing! (Art nerd is gonna nerd)
The art nerd in me loved her name immediately lol. What a gorgeous dog!
Aesthetic, I hate that damn word and I never bother to spell it right until now.
Seconding this. I've got a rescue that just wandered up in the woods and she has ISSUES. A total smarty-pants sweetheart, but ISSUES.

You can’t overestimate the dedication needed in the breeds upbringing as they will always behave according to their environment while young. They are in tune and sensitive, therefore will faithfully do what is asked of them, often without speaking a word.

Aside from halter classes, this is also done to racing thoroughbred horses- they are bred solely to go real fast until maybe 7 years old at the absolute maximum

thank you so much for educating people on ethical breeding! adoption isnt realistic or responsible for everyone but unfortunately, the "adopt dont shop" trend made people think all breeding is inhumane and adoption is always better. in reality, theres TONS of breeders that care about the health and quality of life of the dogs they breed before anything and a lot of people arent educated about the breed theyre adopting or the health of the dog which creates returns and even abuse situations. buying from a breeder can be an amazing option too, people just arent educated on how to spot good breeders!
“Adopt don’t shop” is because millions of dogs and cats are being slaughtered in shelters everyday

@@jimmehjiimmeehh9748 well I saw other German shepherd on her channel and she was golden (or brown, I forgot). Also very beautiful one
She’s absolutely gorgeous. I love shepards with a straighter back.
She's so amazing. I love her
