I've had this on my abdomen, hips, and inner thighs. Pregnancy weight gain left the skin with stretch marks and loose. This worked and I will definitely be saving and having more done. My skin looks much smoother, stretch marks are barely noticeable and skin feels more elastic.

I have had this done twice now in BC Canada. Very expensive in my opinion, but little to no downtime. I had the topical numbing cream on my face for an hour, then the doc did nerve blocks on my face, then I had the actual micro needling with radiofrequency all over my neck and face. Each session 1500.00. I had severe redness for 48 hours, and skin extremely tender for 10 days each time. some bruising under my eye from the nerve block injections. I have my next sessions booked a month from now, so 3 sessions within 4 months. My goal was skin tightening, smoother texture, less depth in the nasolabial folds and sagging under my eyes at 51. I think so far I am satisfied, not thrilled yet with only the 2 sessions. It's less drastic than a facelift, I don't want fillers, or botox either. I wanted to do something to help look less saggy and tired. I hope this helps other out there.
Dear Dr Dray, this was very interesting. Would it be possible to do a video on cool peels? It is supposed to be a mild form of co2 fractional laser with a lot less downtime.
I did three treatments on my face, neck and stomach. I feel like results were minimal to be honest. It certainly wasn’t cheap and even with numbing it was painful.
I thought I was the only one who thought this was the most painful treatment. I also had the numbing cream but yet it was so painful I couldn’t go ahead with the package of three.
I just had my third treatment last week. Incredibly painful. My aesthetician said results would be visible 4-8 weeks after 3rd treatment and since it encourages collagen production it would ultimately benefit me in later years. Who knows? I do believe it did something but don’t think it’s super apparent. I wish I could go back for smaller targeted areas. The entire face and neck is a super painful. Took an hour not 20 minutes.
@@rosequartz1889 be careful, for some people the collagen never comes back. there's literally a whole Facebook group of people who are trying to figure out what to do bc they have been disfigured by it. it does temporarily shrink the skin which makes it look tighter, but it destroys your fat and collagen underneath which makes you look older. you have to ask yourself why is Kim talking about it...
I had 3 Morpehus RF microneedling treatments on my face and neck and LOVE the results. The procedure is painful but worth it. I'll be doing another session or 2 next year.
@@kristin9573 I just had this done yesterday. They numbed me for an hour, and I had laughing gas to use during the procedure (I also took a Xanax they prescribed, just in case). It did not hurt, but it was a little uncomfortable, just like other laser treatments I have had. It felt like the rubber band snaps. Looking forward to my next 2 sessions now, as I was also nervous due to hearing how others thought it was so painful. If you are used to other laser treatments, this was similar. I have also had CO2 Laser, BBL and IPL.
It depends on the person doing the treatment…mine believed in just pushing through and relying on me to say stop. She was amazing . I had 3 treatments and love the results!!!
i've done multiple sessions of rf microneedling and honestly don't think it's worth the $ unless you do sooo many sessions. i've gotten sessions at both beauty/skin spas and my dermatologist, pretty similar minimal results
I did 3 sessions (47yo male.) The procedure is very painful. But immediately after not painful. I think it took 10 years off my face/neck. Very important to go to a recommended dermatologist. Mine is in Beverly Hills, CA. Spend the extra money (not much more) for a Dr vs medi spa. Otherwise you’re wasting your money.
@Sean, Hi Sean, could you tell us the name of your doctor? Many are worried about facial fat loss that I know even doctors doing the procedure have caused. Thanks!
@@TheRuthyc By Daniel Behroozan, MD, FAAD. If you explain your concern over fat loss I’m sure he will adjust the machine and his approach. Thats why it’s best to use someone that knows what they’re doing. I think I lost fat under my chin but i wanted that. The machine settings and dr method dictate results.
Thank you for always providing us with the benefits and risks of procedures. A lot of times doctors want to just do stuff to get paid and don't fully disclose the risks or they do but they down play them. I prefer to be informed on my own. I can hyperpigment and keloid scar. I also suffer from keratosis pilaris. I need to be super careful
I just had my first opus plasma laser done this week. It sounds more promising than rf micro needling. I had 3 of those and while I feel they helped lift my face and tighten to an effect, I am hopeful the opus is much better.
Has anyone done microneedling or radio frequency microneedling for upper arms and abdomen? What was your experience? I'd love a treatment that could lift loose skin and diminish stretch marks in these areas.
The thing is that celebrities like the Kardashians have an endless supply of money and the best of the best doctors at their fingertips. With all of this if a procedure doesn’t work for them it’s no big deal; just on to the next. Most of us cannot afford to “experiment “ to see what really works and what doesn’t. Again depending many times on the expertise of the doctors we choose. Dr. Dray can educate us so we can decide if it’s really worth trying.
I’m pretty sure she’s being paid to promote this by the company. They really don’t talk about things for free. Which makes me thing it needs promoting bc it’s not doing well.
Summer 2024, Colorado: Just had my 2nd RF Microneedling session (Potenza). Here's what it was like: PAINFUL. Even after an hour of numbing, I found this procedure very painful in certain spots (upper lip, frown lines). I have fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes...and a very low pain tolerance in general. I had to take breaks. My legs had that creepy-crawly feeling during the procedure and I had to concentrate to keep them from kicking lol. However, I got through it! Too soon to know full results, but...my 50-year-old chicken pox scar seems smoother already, and the deep veins in my nose (a result of rhinoplasty revision) appear to be settling down. I'M STILL CONFUSED ABOUT AFTERCARE, but basically: don't touch or do anything to your affected areas for 24 hours. (I want to put on lotion SO BAD, but I'm waiting the required 24 hours...) Cost was about $1,300 per treatment in Denver. Hope this helps...and if y'all have aftercare tips, PLEASE share! xoxo
Dr. Dray! Wow this was really detailed. Thanks! Can you make video to how to find a good dermatologist and what type of dermatologist you need for these types of procedures. PS 31 days of beauty at Ulta has new skincare products in it! Will you be doing a review of which to avoid or get?
@@db-gb5xi oh thank you. Does it go by city and state. Plus I went to a regular dermatologist for somthing and he didn’t discuss anything anti aging he could offer. A friend told me I needed a cosmetic dermatologist or somthing? Do you know?

I had one face and neck treatment of "morpheus 8" radio frequency microneedling. After, I ended having to be prescribed a rx for acne breakouts. Then about 6 weeks later developed post inflammation hyperpigmentation. I was told by the rep. And the aesthetic doctor it can rarely happen to light complexion skin but I did develop pih. I have never had any hyperpigmentation my whole life. Now 5 months later I am still dealing with hyperpigmentation in patches. These are not patches that were from acne breakouts either. But never again and would not recommend to anyone waste money and have worse skin!
No not even if I was getting paid! But glad that you explain as some people will be interested if they see someone doing it. Just because he jumped off the bridge doesn't mean I'm going to jump!!!
I have had 2 of 4 treatments of RFMN for my abdomen hoping to help with stretch marks and sagging skin my babies left me with. ❤ I have never had any other cosmetic procedure before, and am very much usually a "this is me" girl, but the sagging skin (matron's pouch) was hugely affecting my body image and is one of the only things I really truly feel bothered by when I see myself in the mirror. This procedure was the one that the medical spa recommended. After having 2 treatments I have not yet noticed results. I have 4 treatments scheduled and, as Dr. Dray mentioned, they have told me that it can take up to a year after your last treatment to fully realize the effects. It is not a fun treatment to go through, so I am hoping to see some improvement with this. For reference, the actual microneedling procedure I would say takes 60-90 minutes, plus an hour for the numbing cream to take effect (I metabolize the numbing agent quickly so near the end is particularly painful because I have very little numbing left). That is for 1000 injections with a 25-needle head (25,000 injections in total for my abdomen).
@@stephanieaya3992 4 treatments were quoted at $3200. I am in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario, Canada. And I was also given some bonus treatments with my quote (EndyMed skin tightening treatments). I would definitely get quotes from a couple of different places.
Addendum to my Comment: I actually had four (4) EndyMed 3Deep treatments done four months ago spaced one month apart for around $1,850. And FYI...EndyMed 3Deep RF website says: "Unlike monopolar or bipolar RF technology, which is more superficial and often painful or risky to the epidermis, 3DEEP uses an array of several electrodes and a sophisticated algorithm that manipulates the phase of current flowing between each pair of electrodes. The multiple electrical fields created repel each other, leading to the ideal combination of energy directed to a deeper skin layer for optimal, painless collagen remodeling." Just thought I'd add this since Dr. Dray discussed monopolar vs. bipolar. And thank you Dr. Dray for providing to us all the great info on this subject!
I had 2 sessions of facial RF micro needling about 2 yrs ago. The areas that they concentrated on more heavily, were my jawline and lower face. I stayed red w dots/grid on my face for 6 weeks and I now have major PIH in that area. They did my whole face but it was most intense on the jaw and lower cheeks. I have NEVER had any pigment issues beyond a hand full of freckles scattered across the bridge of my nose. I have even had 2 sessions of fractional CO2 laser about 10 yrs ago, and it didn’t do this.
If you have a dark skin tone your more likely to develop hyperpigmentation. Your doctor should know this but if they don't or if they don't have the right tools and don't care because they want to make that money then you won't get the results you want. YoU have to make sure your doctor has the right tools, so you have to be educated, assertive and not afraid to ask invasive questions about exactly what sort of needles they are going to use and MAKE SURE your doctor uses INSULATED NEEDELS ON A LOWER SETTING FOR A LONGER DURATION if treating darker skin tones.
I’ve known about and seen incredible results from Morpheus8 for a few years now from another female Dr in Mexico City. She also uses it to assist with post lipo fibrosis treatment along with diode lasers. I only see her using it on fatty areas like the stomach and arms and double chin. I’ve never seen her use it on the face. She also always, 110% emphasizes the importance of after care and post procedure practices as these can often times dramatically affect your result with procedures. Have to also think about peoples home care and expectations and baseline I guess. I’m surprised it is only now catching on in the US but happy to see people finding out about it

When I was in med esthetics school I got these done I loved the results after the recovery time and even a monthafter, but next day I had a skin rash around it keeps spreading. The Dr told me that something stress on the skin like strong chemical peel or skin procedures can wake up the virus but once is trrated it can take 2 to 3 years to wake up again. I still get treatments done it haven't happened again, but now everytime I have a patient I asked then if they have history of shingles and if they checked that they had chickenpox I warn them about the risk.

I received the Morpheus 8 treatment along with facetite by a very well known celebrity's surgeon in Mexico for facial rejuvenation, and it was a total disaster. I look older because of the fat loss, and more saggy skin appeared after the swollen went away. Talked to other patients I met at his office the same time we were getting the treatment done, and everyone reported undesirable results. In conclusion, don't do it! 😢
I’m sorry, there are a lot of us out there that have had undesirable outcomes from Morpheus8. I’m not sure how this is even FDA approved for the face. I hope you are doing well. It takes a toll on a lot of the morpheus8 victims.
We'll, I've just finished my 2nd Morpheus treatment. The first didn't hurt a bit but the second one was very uncomfortable to say the least!! She was more aggressive though. The PA at the clinic did the actual procedure and we did discuss fat loss, which she used the lowest setting in those places like cheekbones, etc. This clinic charged $2,400 for series of 3 😲 I am totally confused. I did extensively research Morpheus and thought this would render great results for me. I am 64, with wrinkles, laxity..you name it, I've got it!! I see minimal and I mean minimal improvement. I really don’t understand why they charge so much for this you can do it at home minus the rf or do the rf before or a couple days after. Micro needling results are subtle and take a while to kick in. Same with rf. FYI monopolar and bi polar is just the heads used on the machine.

I have done RF microneedling, suresculpt (hot laser sculpting), IPL and CO2 Lasers and I have to say the best bang for the buck for my face was hands down the combo IPL/CO2 (erbium) lasers. I did 3 rounds each for a total of $1800 (I know my med spa is awesome) and it really turned back the clock on my face. I will do it again in a few years if needed. I mean I looked amazing but the results do fade after a year or maybe it was the adverse reaction I had to dermaplaneing (I broke out terribly, I mean we are on month 2 of constant break outs) so that beings me to the RF microneedling...idk I did have a microderm and demaplaning they gave me for my birthday and then an RF micro needling maybe a week or 2 later and my face is revolting! Since then I have switched to sure sculpt. I have a monthly membership to a local medspa where for $365/month I get 1 treatment of my choice an RF microneedling or sure sculpt anywhere, face or body, one area as well as a MIC B12 shot, my botox at $8/unit and 10% off everything else treatments and products which I think is a killer deal. I LOVE the sure sculpt, I think it is a different brand device they use but its the hot laser lipolysis and it WORKS!!! I had 1 treatment on the sides of my abdomen, my waist measures 2 inches smaller now. I just had a treatment on my lower abdomen and it did take some of the poof out so all in all I would recommend personally the IPL and CO2 lasers, but be prepared for downtime as you will look like a burn victim for a few days and the hot laser body sculpting.
Are you happy with your results now that it’s been a few months?
Did you like the results in the end?
Are you happy with the results? I am about to get this done.
I just had my 3rd treatment last week. What I like too is that the downtime is very minimal compared to regular microneedling.
Dear Dr Dray, this was very interesting. Would it be possible to do a video on cool peels? It is supposed to be a mild form of co2 fractional laser with a lot less downtime.
I second this!
Dr. Anil Rajani has videos on this in the meantime.
@@db-gb5xi Oh that is great, I'll go have a look. Cheers!
i had morpheus8 x3 times on my face/neck and liked the results. nothing magical but DEFINITELY improved my skin overall
I did three treatments on my face, neck and stomach. I feel like results were minimal to be honest. It certainly wasn’t cheap and even with numbing it was painful.
I wasn’t fond of my results or the down time. I think just regular micro needling with prf is way better.
I thought I was the only one who thought this was the most painful treatment. I also had the numbing cream but yet it was so painful I couldn’t go ahead with the package of three.
Thank you for your honesty.
Who did your procedure? Was it an esthetician, dermatologist, nurse practitioner, or someone else?
They are promising me it is NOT painful, jut feels like heat and now Im scared. Where did you get it done? Im getting my neck done

You are very knowledgeable and thorough. Thank you.
i've done multiple sessions of rf microneedling and honestly don't think it's worth the $ unless you do sooo many sessions. i've gotten sessions at both beauty/skin spas and my dermatologist, pretty similar minimal results
Ben Talei warns against doing too many bc it causes chronic inflammation which leads to aging. Thank you for your honest review.
Thanks!

Happy Thursday mary ann Gonzalez. Have a lovely day and take care.
They’re also paid to promote various modalities. Don’t trust them.
I had no idea that the gold threads could cause injury.....Dr. Dray you are so detailed.
Great breakdown once again! It is nice to know how these other options are suitable for deeper skin tones.

I had ultherapy to my face and neck and had good results. Its a diffrent modality but the results were very good.
👍
Ultherapy vs microneedluing with RF is very different from my experience
I had one face and neck treatment of "morpheus 8" radio frequency microneedling. After, I ended having to be prescribed a rx for acne breakouts. Then about 6 weeks later developed post inflammation hyperpigmentation. I was told by the rep. And the aesthetic doctor it can rarely happen to light complexion skin but I did develop pih. I have never had any hyperpigmentation my whole life. Now 5 months later I am still dealing with hyperpigmentation in patches. These are not patches that were from acne breakouts either. But never again and would not recommend to anyone waste money and have worse skin!
it literally happened to the comment 3 ppl above you. they know it happens they are lying bc they paid fior the machine and need money back.
What's your skin type? Did you make sure they used insulated needles? Did you go to a real doctor or a medispa?
Thank you for sharing. I’m curious about this procedure. Could you please add how much one session cost you?
Hope you do well with it.
probably surgery is the only really working thing but lets hope for the best

Morning!
I have even had 2 sessions of fractional CO2 laser about 10 yrs ago, and it didn’t do this.
did the grid ever go away? same thing happened to me.
Did you recover, Ashley? This worries me since I don’t want any additional scars.

I’m surprised it is only now catching on in the US but happy to see people finding out about it
I’ve seen HORRIBLE results. Even worse in older people. If it’s so good I wonder why they are paying Kim to talk about it. Unless you actually believe she’s just sharing for free, the woman who says she’s had no filler lol.

@just a girl Thank you for this information. That does it. I will never get it done. Fat loss has happened to so many people! You are right, how can they possibly control it?
Yes I had RF treatment twice (Vivace) and I did notice unwanted fat loss on my face. Please proceed with caution as doctors don’t usually discuss this prior the treatment.
Interesting procedure. I wonder if there is any benefit for hair growth as well as under the jawline and attempting to reduce a double chin. Also would having a dental implant interfere with this procedure, if it was done around the face, given the metal component?

I feel exactly the same. This video answered all my questions. He says basically that you have to adjust the depth depending on which part of the face/neck it is. And possibly do ordinary microneedling several times instead of radiofrequency. I decided to go ordinary with more sessions and perhaps radiofrequency on areas where I want to remove fat or the risk of killing fat is less. I think losing fat is the most aging of all things. ruclips.net/video/h_o-vIrTKwA/видео.html&ab_channel=DrAmirKaram

I am starting a savings account for a facelift, platysmaplasty. The only way to tighten the face and neck. I had an estimate for the Morpheus 8, the Dr. Could not guarantee the results. Ridiculous! I am not spending money on a procedure that cannot be guaranteed.
result is botched usually that's why ... youre smart to save for real thing.
What is the difference between microneedling and radio Frequency alone and Income with Radio frequency Microneedling?? Which is better?
Read about too many cases in which the patient's facial fat actually was destroyed, melted by the heat, and there were folds of excess skin resulting. No, I have acne scars and my skin is getting loose, especially under the eyes and around my mouth, but I am too afraid of it. Plus I can't afford it, to be honest.
There are instances when that might actually be desirable, such as double chins.
Can you review Cavitation procedure please. Thank you!!!
Any chance we can get a video on pregnancy skincare? Like how to wash face with bigger belly, or what products to avoid? Thanks 😊

Dr. Dray, what type of hand held firming devices work? Can you review the different types sold?
As a provider of this service, I would like to pick your brain regarding “fat loss” caused by RF?
It would shock me if I went for this treatment and the provider didn't know if it would result in fat loss no provider should be doing this without understanding the aesthetic results, and risks involved
Yes me too
@@michelles2299 the providers know less than the patients... ask her to do it on her own face instead of experimenting on yours. I bet she hasn't even done it on herself but recommends it everyday at work. that should tell you how good it is...
I had this done to tighten my neck recently and so far I think the skin is firmer. Hopefully it continues to improve. However, it is very painful.
ask them to use cooling air from additional machine. in that case ain is not that strong
So, given we now know cancer travels along nerves, is it considered a safe treatment for someone in cancer remission?
Thank you so much.
what is your opinion of Rf microneedling HOME DEVICES for face??
I had Morpheous8 twice. After numbing the skin for 1 hr, the first time it was tolerable. The second time, 6 weeks later, same numbing and same setting, the procedure was quite painful with shock like feeling. Honestly, I started to cry toward the end. I did not expect this. The provider could not explain why this happened but admitted that she noted several patients having the same issue. Any explanation for this phenomenon? I am dreading my third one scheduled in 6 weeks
She needs to get Tktx numbing crème the black one it’s for tattoos, I don’t feel a thing
Dr Dray can I discontinue topical glutathione after I got my results or should I continue to use it
I have done RF microneedling, suresculpt (hot laser sculpting), IPL and CO2 Lasers and I have to say the best bang for the buck for my face was hands down the combo IPL/CO2 (erbium) lasers. The RF microneedling...idk jury is still out on that for me as my face is still freaking out!
What are the results from your rf micro needling?
Girl where do you live? A monthly fee for a treatment of your choice at med spa sounds amazing!!
@@theoheart Richmond, VA. This is at New Medical Spa in the west end with Dr. Camden. She's amazing. Highly recommend. I'm 42 and I did not edit or use filters on my photo at all.
@@j_grieshaberhow can I view your before and after photos?
Dr Mados natural knowledge is something else, I am glad I met him at the time I needed his help most.,
Dr did you change the head after the session to avoid blood infection ? Or the needle didnt go through the skin in this device ?
Volume loss in face is one of the most visible causes of saggy skin… I have heard that the heat generated during this procedure can cause fat loss. Is this true? Can this be avoided?
Yes I believe it is
Retinoids
there's no way to avoid it, the skin isn't a closed system .... they say they can control it bc they already purchased the very expensive machine and now they have to pay it off.

I'm a fan of profound rf. I wonder which needle size she used for Morpheus 8.
Very informative, and timely! I'm having my face done tomorrow. A couple of things it would have been great to cover. I'm sure when I go in tomorrow they will be offering to sell me some 'medical grade' after care for my skin. Do you have any drug store recommendations out is this a situation where you would recommend higher end skin care? Or arnica Montana? Thank you for being my most trusted source for skin care, Dr Dray!
don't get it done, there's a literal Facebook group about peoples faces who have been damaged from it. abort mission.
💕 Can you please recommend the most effecive RF home device? Also what do you say who are commenting here. what is your experience? There are so many devices on the msrket. I would like to buy one. Is there some you can combine using for face and body? Thank you so much Dr. Dray. 🌹
I might check out her videos on radio frequency devices. Frankly, you could also check out esty channels that pretty much focus on these things like The Organic Esthetician or Penn Smith Skincare or even Beauty Beyond 40.
@d b d b you always have a wealth of great information that you share with us and I want to say thank you so much!
@@TheRuthyc You're welcome.
@@TheRuthyc I agree! Thanks from me db. I also enjoy reading your comments and replies.

Thank you very much for making this video, I requested this to you not long ago. Sunscreen and subscribe 💕
Morpheus8 is very painful even with numbing. I did love my 3 sessions though!
Yes I would imagine I had microneedling and that hurt so much even without the RF it put me off any further treatments
As a person of color radio frequency I have been told is the best option. Micro needling is out right? And micro needling radio frequency is a heck naw? I heard Profound was better the Morpheus Bc you only need to do it once every 4 years which is better for your skin. How do I know what is the right information? Where do I find this out?
I heard similar from Ben Talei and other plastic surgeons.
What needles depth would you recommend for large pores?
Same question for undereye?
Without risking fat loss.
Hi, what is your opinion of hifu treatment and does it give risks of buccal fat removal
