My 2013 already has the tire pressure sensor in....so 2013 does have it
My digital speedometer is broken and the miles are not visible, if I replace it, will the miles change or will it have the same original miles?

So youve put in a new cluster. Ive been told (along with the 8.4" uconnect radio) that the ECM has to flashed to recognize the new cluster (and radio). Did you perform a software upgrade to the ECM?
Sky Bulckaert My truck came with the Premium cluster, but not with the radio. I paid about 1.5K for the radio all together, and i didn’t have to program the ECM, it was plug and play. (With the anti-theft code, of corse.)
My 2012 ram 1500 bighorn has tire pressure option. But you said I don't need that option?

This is a weird question but if you install one of these from a newer ram onto a 2014 will it fix the damn blinker speed? I have a 2014 and it sounds like my blinker has a stutter and doesn’t tick at a normal speed like it should. Drives me nuts

I’m a Chrysler tech. Usually because of warranty reasons, we don’t upgrade clusters and things like that. But in the rare cases that we do any kind of electronic upgrade (I.e radio upgrade, trailer hitch, auxiliary lights, etc) we have to go into the BCM or whichever module you’re upgrading, and reconfigure it just so it works. Was this a plug and play upgrade, or did you have to go to a Chrysler dealer and have it configured?
This was a plug n play upgrade. No configuration needed.
How would this be plug and play if the mileage is stored on the cluster?

can the start up name be reprogrammed with the Alfa OBD , for example...if it starts up as Bighorn or Laramie can it be changed to just say Ram 1500?
You can do the milage with alfaodb also.
Can you explain a little more about the mileage? Does the cluster not automatically configure to your mileage? Or is that something the provider sets?

What year is your RAM? When you did this upgrade what radio did you have installed? OEM? What kind? Or did you have the Tesla?
Mine is currently at 103k what if I buy one with 87k with it give me some error or start counting again at 87k?

4:20 why is that? I have a 13 that came with this bigger screen and the stop/start button and I can check my tire pressure...
I have a 13 but it doesn’t let me check the pressure, that particular menu only pops up when a tire pressure sensor goes off, is this something to do with settings?

Can this work for a 2012 Ram that is a bone stock cluster? I have a screen but it’s at the very bottom and it’s tiny. It only shows the two trips, outside temperature, eco, and odometer.
I’m not sure if it would because I think at 2013 they redesigned all of the clusters across all of the trim levels. What I would do is look up the highest trim level speedometer from 2008-2012 and find one that has the most features but I think the speedometer in the video wouldn’t work for a 2012 but I could be wrong.

Get with clustersurgeon and they will assist you better. The link has been provided.
There isn't a significant upgrade for 2nd and 3rd generation Rams. At least not one like this. This cluster is night and day difference. We can install tinted LED's in the 2nd and 3rd generation, which will make it a lot more visually appealing, but it's still the same cluster as the truck came with.
I have this cluster on my 13 ram it has recently started doing some flickering only in the center screen, any idea why ? Bulbs? Short? It only does it when its on high setting i put it on low and stops flicking

That's what I'm doing..upgraded tons of stuff so far and still a long way to go.. now installing pod light on the hood and steel front bumper !!

I don’t think this works for any ram, I have base model 2013 quad cab hemi without steering wheel controls, so I don’t think would work without those controls on the steering wheel.
The cluster really stores the mileage, I would figure it just reads it off the ECU and cluster just displays it.
The mileage and hours are displayed from how we program it into the cluster. It's also held in the ECU on some late models, but you wouldn't be able to read the ECU mileage unless you used a scanner. Not just a regular OBD2 scanner either.
Cluster Surgeon Thanks for the clarification, I guess it is a hidden redundancy to protect FCA in warranty claims. I wonder what happens when you use a Diablo Sport unlocked computer to replace your ECU. I guess that resets mileage and engine hours on the computer side.
The mileage may be held in the BCM rather than the ECU. I can't really say for sure which, what I do know for sure is that the mileage/hours on the cluster is what will show, but that it is also held someplace else in the truck, in a more hidden manner. It would almost have to be the BCM or the ECU.
Seems like the cluster would just pull the odometer reading from the computer. Interesting.
No the memory is in the cluster computer, not the truck computer.

Same here , I still have the basic tradesman radio, I think when the stereo is switched to the ra4 one then the settings appear but not sure. Did you figure out why yet?

Does anyone else have the same problem as me I bought one off eBay once I plugged it in and it turned on but it didn’t adapt to my mileage and oil gauge saying I need to service it but I just did it a month ago.
Anyone know how you can reset all that to adapt to my truck real info
You need alfaobd and OBDLink scanner to adjust the mileage. As far as the oil goes, reset it. Its set to the truck where the cluster came from.

If u do this make damn sure you tell them to put the right mileage..... don't tell them 30k when has 120k so you can sell for more... its a federal offense felony and there are other charges like mail Fraud because mailing title and more that im not sure of to tamper with odometer and if you were to sell it and purchaser went and had it scanned for inspection the garage takes miles from cluster but alot of inspection scanners will puck up mileage then it will be wrong and if purchaser finds out they can sue!!! So best thing is when buying the cluster to tell them 200 more miles than are on it so when u get the part and are ready to install it'll be damn close
Alot of these trucks will have car fax and it tells mileage every year at inspection time us another way they could catch that person tampered with it so DONT DO IT or u might get sued if person notices it even year later...
