My son is turning 16 later this year. Just got him a 13 ram express, your videos are a great help for the "factory" upgrades i want him to have!! P.S. thank you for talking about and correcting the mileage!
I just watched a few of your videos. Thank you, I can wait to pick up a Ram 1500 reg cab short box and customize it. My goal will be to upgrade the interior to the Laramie grade.
Ordered mine and should be here on Friday for install. Thanks for the videos you make on the Ram. Helps some of us with the whole upgrade process. Cheers
That Continental Tires splash screen is crazy. I have never seen that before. Does your EVIC do that all the time or just when you make a change with AlphaOBD?
Hi just watched your cluster swap.awesome and very informative. My name is Mick and am hoping you could send the information for setting up the cluster mileage to your truck.I have a 2019 Doge Ram classic.looks just like yours. Also am in Canada am having a hard time to find a cluster also.So please any help would be greatly appreciative. Thanks Mick
So question, all you did was purchase a used cluster as well as an AlfaOBD license? Then just used the app on a tablet and were able to do this? My 2011 has the base cluster as well as the simple steering wheel.... and I hate it. I'm gonna purchase a steering wheel with buttons and a secondhand cluster and the license if possible. I've done this with BMW's before but never doge. just curious if that is how it works here.
It depends on the trim. It's just the stamp though. Laramie, it will say Laramie on top instead of Ram. 2013 to 2019 will fit..2012 have a different connection
I am shocked that the mileage from the donor vehicle remained on the odometer. Even MORE surprising, is that you can easily change the mileage TO WHAT EVER YOU WANT!!!! All these years I thought the mileage came from the control module, and could not be altered. My next RAM will have to be a new one, now that I saw how easily the mileage can be altered!!!
The actual vehicle mileage is stored in the vehicle pcm, and you can have your mechanic hook a scan tool to the vehicle to make sure it hasn't been altered
I had to use the Alfa obd app and reset it through there. You need the app plus an obd reader to do it yourself. Or you can also go to the dealership and I think they can do it
Nice mod. Only 16 hours of idle time on a truck with 110k? You must live somewhere where it's not hot...haha. Here in south Texas you cannot wait in your vehicle with idling 8 months out of the year.

That is definitely a mod that I would like to do to my truck
Thank you very much for your content I'm definitely going to use your videos on my 2014 I want to do the same upgrades I did the 8.5 screen already
Really happy to hear! Hoping you can benefit from future videos as well

Happy to help! There’s plenty more on the way

Can I just get any 7" Cluster for 2013-2018 from ebay and use alfaobd to set my mileage? I have a 2020 1500 Classic.
What year and model is your truck? And what year and model does this cluster come from? Any issues yet? Steering wheel control still works?

I assume 1500 2500 3500 gas are all the same?
What about idle time and engine hours? How about a vid on those.

will this work on a 2011 dodge ram 3500?
Good job buddy like what u done to u truck
Thank you!
Isn’t this a easy way for someone to cheat the miles. ? If you can adjust is there a way to look into if someone has tampered with the original
First thing I thought of.
It’s *always* been easy to cheat miles. Never has it not been.
This changes the cluster mileage memory. The mileage is also stored in the computer. The two must match or its a felony.
How do you set up the original miles or it does it self?
I had to use the Alfa obd app and reset it through there. You need the app plus an obd reader to do it yourself. Or you can also go to the dealership and I think they can do it
How do u like ur ram
Can you get it programmed back to your original miles?
Yes you sure can
Will this also work on a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 ?
I believe it should
Where did you buy you computer software?
Just search for alfaobd in the google play store. It has to be an android device. Either phone or tablet
Where did you get the reader?
The reader is from Amazon. It’s the obdlink Mx+

You forgot your idle and engine hours
Anyone want to sell me there old basic cluster?
I will soon as my upgraded one comes in if u still want it
