After Effects Tutorial - How to Actually Clear Media and Disk Cache

This has been a life-saver for me and I hope it does the same for you!
About After Effects Media and Disk Cache: helpx.adobe.com/after-effects...
Startup Command
"you can change the default location of the media cache files in the prefences pull down
because our artists are "lazy" :-) i put a startup command in
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
its a text doucument called "delete_old_cfa.cmd"
whose contents are
set FOLDER=s:\aeTemp\Media Cache Files\Cache.MACC
for /f "Tokens=* skip=100" %%f in ('dir "%FOLDER%\*.*" /o-d /b') do del /f /q "%FOLDER%\%%f"
on restarting from boot it will keep only the most 100 recent files in the media cache folder .... that will stop those files filing up your harddrive"

chase alex at the top of the file app go to view > options > change folder and search > view > show hidden files > apply. but REMEMBER after you’re done with what you’re doing go through the SAME process and switch back to don’t show hidden files that is VERY important

Idk if it's a problem but it annoys me and I havnt found a way to fix it yet, anyways, my after effects (2020) won't render/cache the whole workspace, (that green line thing at the top of the workspace) won't cache everything but it could yesterday idk what it is... Could be my ram

I had something similar... nothing of mine could finish remdering and i kept getting an error... im on a HP Spectre core i7 8750H 16RAM ... it worked fine after unchecking the box "render multiple frames simultaeneously" no idea what that means but it works now... 🤔😂
