That ctrl + Z trick is the magic ingredient to every programming video out there, damn it's so simple and easy but yet so efficient ! Great to have an insight on your workflow, keep the good content !
Man, I am a big fan of your content, though I don't usually comment, but I can see the amount of effort you put on each video you make, and it's much appreciated and thank you for sharing your process, there is a lot of creativity in it, from the way you do things, to the thumbnails (which I think are the best programming thumbnails in RUclips)
Wow. I was so curious about this. Damn the ctrl +z trick is so slick. I thought you recorded a window and used clipboard history in windows. Never been so inspired by any other content style. Starting my channel soon!
The biggest problem I face as a developer is not knowing what is possible, what do I even do now that I have learned some basics? Every other tutorial I watch on RUclips just takes me back to the very start which frustrates me a lot. But your videos give me an insight to what actually can be done. And I love it. Those 10 mins of insights given were more helpful to me than anything I have ever been told. Thank you so much, Jeff!
Honestly, your conciseness is why I watch your channel. Literally every other programming youtube channel has hour long tutorial videos with only 5 minutes of worthwhile content
Man that's so dope, when it's your full time gig, and you have cultivated your own style over time, that you go and make a video like this, and give your knowledge so freely. Big respect 👏
The CTRL + Z for screen recording is genius, Jeff. I am stealing that. Thanks for everything you do. BTW, not an immediate level developer. I am actually a hobbyist coder and your videos are how I get a quick context on technology before I dive into the documentation. Your approach still works for people like me.
You run the only channel for programmers I don't have to speed up to at least 1,75 or even 2,0 to not zone out watching. Your style is so perfect. Thank you so much.
3 Years Later ...I am very impressed with your youtube channel ...as a NOOB creator, I look for the best of the best to pattern my channel after to date I have learned that most good 'creators' eventually give up daily production in favor of solid home work capitalization ...so Thank You (up-front) for all that you have done and shared
I made some music production tutorials a few years ago following the "as concise as possible" philosophy and they are some of the most viewed and positively received things I've done. You're doing great work Jeff! Only in your case the videos are actually aesthetically pleasing lol
This is a goldmine! So much effort and professionalism. It's crazy how you're able to do this with working full time as a developer as well, really inspiring
3 years later I'm watching this. Only just found your personal channel after subscribing to Fireship for the longest time. I saw your video profile that Honeypot did. That was really cool. I'm amazed at how smart and disciplined you are and it's great to see your focus on family. Knowing that you went through a tough spot was weirdly reassuring that even the best people stumble and there's always hope for those of us who stumble a LOT! inspiring stuff...
I can’t begin to tell you how long I’ve been procrastinating to ask this. Thanks for everything Jeff! I am certainly going to start a channel after this!
This is exactly what i was looking for, it's kind of curious, but a week ago, i was thinking which kind of video style i like from youtubers in this field, then i went to your main channel, was stuying your video style while thinking, damn, he should do a video explaining that magic (including the famous copy paste thing), so here i am. Congrats on your content.
Your thumbnails are extremely eye-catching. Makes you really want to click on the video. Once in your playlist, we all know, there's no better content than this!
Just a huge thanks for carrying me through 4 years of computer science studies, as well as doing this video, which was the last push needed to start my own drumming relatet YT channel. You're awesome, Jeff 🙏
Spent all of lockdown in a two year learn two code rabbit hole and I have a bookmark list of all the “teachers” I came across most are bait-e, a lot fake-e, or overly sales-e, boast-e, been-paid-no-idea-about-e, but by a mile your structure knowledge and comedy-always get a chuckle- and straight to the point videos make you the best by far and I’ve been watch you for a couple of years and this is my first comment(I’ve like every 100 sec I’ve watched). 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 cheers for the work.
Ai tells you how ai would use ai to to use ai to tell how ai would use ai to create a video about ai creating a video using ai. You're the best Jeff. Love you videos. I'm 20 years into the worst case of imposter syndrome I've ever had but your approach to programming is keeping the thrill alive. Keep kicking ass and taking names.
Man, the video editing process sounds exhausting. You really must be passionate about putting out good content. Keep going! Also, you trolled the trolls - nice 👍
Congrats, I'm an angular developer and your subscriber for about a couple of years now, your content really has the best quality out there, it's impressive how this is a 1 man job, you where born for this! Sadly you have been taking a break on angular tuts. Best of wishes for this new project
This is amazing!! Thanks for sharing your process, it's my favorite way to consume programming content. I even programming topics of stuff I'm not interested in because the format is so enjoyable. Definitely looking to change up my workflow to match this. One question though: Where does the blog write up factor in, before the audio recording, after the audio but before screen recording, or after the published video?
Introvert! But still working and delivering amazing content. Appreciate it. I have started my own RUclips channel and your video was really helpful! Though I'd watched it before but this time it really motivated me to create amazing content for my audience as well.
Thank you for who you are and what you do. I am not sure that I love programming, I think I might, or may one day. It is one of the things I am best at (not that that says much). Your informative content, work ethic and ability are a truly awesome inspiration for me. You are one of my heroes. Even though your more recent videos have been a source of mild psychosis for me, I am always excited and ready to watch when you post a new video. If not for you I may never have shifted my career to be more coding focused. I may never have quit my job and took a bet on myself. I have so much to thank you for and am struggling to put it into words. I love you man! I trust you to wield the respect and influence you have garnered responsibly. Keep doing what you're doing dude!
Ten minutes really is the sweet spot for this medium.. Best thing about it for me: I don't mind watching it again later when I can understand more.. I watch instructional vids about programming, music theory, sailing, math, and philosophy.. and even with that diversity, ten +/- four is the sweet spot.. tnx for your work, you've helped me a lot!!
This is awesome. Earlier this week i did demo using your technique. Cmd + X in reverse order. It worked really well. Although I end up preparing it twice coz I accidentally press Z key. I’d love to learn more on Figma and how you create thumbnails.
Super useful information! As someone who is trying to start a programming channel with essentially zero subscribers, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! P.s. I watch your other videos regularly, and they are consistently enjoyable.
Excellent tips! I love your approach towards simplicity and targeting mid+ level engineers. The reverse delete & undo is the real MVP in the video through
Have to say I love your voice and I think that you are passing data in a very understandable way even if it is sometimes a little fast I will rewind a little bit and play it again.
Damn, I love your content, but what I love the most Is the way you present it. You have a unique and incredibly efficient way of teaching, which makes your videos absolutely useful. You are truly inspiring!
This video gave me the motivation to click the "create channel" button, so thank you for that! I want to continue your mission of providing quality short form programming content, but about other topics that you don't cover. After two videos copying the 100 second format, I realized that wasn't very ethical, so I'm now trying to find my own style and formats. I hope you don't mind the pretty heavy inspiration I took, if there's one thing I don't want to be its a copycat.
That's brilliant! Thanks, Jeff. That's very similar of how I do my videos. I actually delete the code with a delete-button, then play it reverse, so the code is written very quickly, and if did not forget it, I put the keybourd sound effect below this. I was doubting whether it is too much of an effort and nobody would need or appretiate, but as you said, I always bored when I see people typing in real live and correct their mistakes. Cheers
I've always wondered how you did the coding part of your videos and I can't believe it was this slick. Kudos. If there is one channel I have to choose from youtube it will definitely be yours.
Thank you so much for this video! I am greatly inspired by your tutorials and the quality of content these videos have. I am on the way to setup my own channel for programming tutorials, gaming and some devlogs and you just helped people like me a lot with this video.
an awesome video from one of my major inspirations
I love to see my top RUclipsrs watch share content here!

Easily the highest quality content. Really happy you released this so I can steal your secrets!
really the biggest secret here is a huge effort and it cant be stolen ._.
Wow. I was so curious about this.

Never been so inspired by any other content style. Starting my channel soon!
Awesome, good luck!
damn thats smart !!
@@flyte9844 I think so. I think maybe can build a recording code vscode extension…🤔
The trick is slick
trust me everyone was wondering on the ctrl z trick

Same here, I was only suggested this video after watching Honeypot's video.
I came for the coding part. I thought it was some magic clipboard tool 😅
I spend some time searching for a plugin that does the magic. Because I couldn't find one I wanted to create one myself and failed 😂
@@gerritweiermann79 You didn't fail buddy, you just haven't succeeded yet. Keep pushing.

Dude, This just saved my life haha!!! Appreciate chya!
As someone who recently started his YT channel, this saved me a lot of time. I can’t thank you enough men.

Oh man that control Z trick is literally genius! I need to immediately incorporate this. Thank you!
This is legit the best deep dive into video production that I've seen, that makes me want to start making things myself!
You are the best content producer in this platform, I am always amazed at the amount of great videos you post each month
no he is not lmao
You’re the best presenter of coding videos on all of RUclips. Everybody thinks so.

Deleting the code snippet and ctrl-z:ing is seriously the best innovation for code videos. Pure stroke of genius.
Just wanted to say that your videos are the most beneficial and informative short form content I've stumbled across on this app
this video is like the best thing on youtube. mainly because your fireship videos are BEYOND COMPARE! great system, very well done!

Good question. I usually write the article while writing the code, it also serves as a good outline for the voiceover.
@@jeffdelaney Sorry noob here but question: wouldn't it make sense to write the blog first so the voicover is more or less just reading up the blog?
