Appreciate the video Tony! Own all pictured (Fury on the way) as well as many SCX24s, really having fun in the mini crawler scene. Enjoying the HobbyPlus CR18P platform, solid performer and appreciate the new addition to the market.
Traxxas TRX4-m has 3 drive modes. You can press and hold the button next to the light and it will flash. 1, 2, and 3 times. The third is the lowest gear setting. Try that.
Awesome video ,I really enjoyed watching your review od these 4 trucks , I love the older classic shape wagon bodies, greetings from an Irishman in Latvia .....Harry
Finally a good real world comparion of these small crawlwes not just date comparing and who has a beef with which company...THANK YOU!!!! 👍 Also the cheap traxxas did quite well even without the low gears for 150 bucks.
I agree. It’s a solid rig. With $6 low gear it’s even better for this crawling (way better with brushless as you get fast speed and low speed torque). The biggest hang up is the hard body on some obstacles, but it’s not too bad. I honestly like them all. After more driving of the K5, it definitely needs some work to be more capable.
I have the original fms lc80(special headache edition) Modded the hell out of it. But im burning up motors in a matter of minutes. Trying one more brushed before i get a fury (for the brushless) and throw my yota body on it
Awesome course!!! Great video but I have the same furytek n mine goes super slow n crawly the toque is like no other. I got that blazer 2 but brown. Still like my monster max for fun turns fast..Ty!!
Adding thick oil, removing the springs, and moving the top shock mount position to just under the middle body mounts on the fcx24 chassis changes the truck completely! It lowers the lcg as low as possible without bottoming out the servo, and gives the most possible articulation without the driveshafts falling out. It's perfect. Performs really really well.
Great video, thank you! I wish the cr18p didn't use Phillips screws. However i would most likely go with an evo that uses allen. I am wanting a cr18p now. Thanks again
Thats not true, they are a great base and outperform most scx24s out of the box. I have a k5 and smasher converted to crawler. Im still a bigger axial fanboy though!
I respectfully disagree, I have had super luck with them. The two speed transmission is super versatile. With metal gears in the axles, the only thing I have had to replace is the occasional drive line. Great rig stock out of the box, and fantastic rig with a few mods.
I don't have any of those. But through your presentation I can see the merits and reasons to buy all of them. Good job, well thought out.
Great video and review Tony! Thanks for the comparison.

Great video. Love the defender truck body. I want that appearance too.

I just pulled trigger being on sale on Ali for 175 save 15 and was sold put when it came out gotta be a good car couldn't sleep on the deal at all

The reverse thing on the Fury wagon can probably be fixed in the settings on the app.
Yes it definitely can be
Yeah. You can adjust it via the Bluetooth app. Should’ve mentioned that. It has lots of tuning options

First time I heard the weed wacker “THAT MOTOR IS MAKING A CRAZH NOISE”
Awesomeness ❤❤
The first thing I did when I got my fcx24 was attempt to put oil in the shocks. Unfortunately I lost an o ring assembling them... 😅

@@JP-qq2knI didn’t know running shocks with no springs was a thing
@jonmandelbaum5395 On these 1/24 mini crawlers that are set up for just rock crawling, springs aren't really needed.

Sorry if it is said in video ( I'm at work with ear plugs in by a noisey machine) how are those gates made?
Where did you get that defender body?
How did you make the gates?
Furytek all the way for me
cool litle crawler my friend 👍🛻👍
Well that sure was a unimpressive performance from the fx118
Kessler Plaza
Dip switch
FMS is junk is what I've learned from this video
They look so good tho great start to upgrade from😊
I learned TRX4m needs an immediate $130 upgrade to make the speed control not suck.
@@JT-6s you can spend $125 for the furitek brushless stinger combo.
