Edit: I want to add a little story about my life, my family never really had a family computer nor did any one in my family, we did however have that large tablet computer that ran on windows, I'm not what version it was, but for those who know, it was that windows boot up that had all 4 colors fly into the middle and create the windows logo. Either way, we didn't use it much since it was very finicky and didn't perform well. Not to mention I didn't know many websites other than cool math games or the apps that came with windows itself. Also most of the time I would forgot we would even have one. So, I didn't care at all to roam on the computer, I was too busy playing Super Mario Bros. Wii and Crash Twinsanity during my childhood.

And no matter how bad the actions of your kids are... if you raise your voice it can be considered problematic and fall into child abuse.
Basically the system in places like here wants to have hands off parenting and wants to create kids that feel like they can act out without any consequences. It's very sad and scary at the same time.

One of the difficult things about these situations is that I see a lot of comments saying there should be an age limit before students could get a phone or have social media, I pretty much agree. But I have a little sister, far younger than me, she's in middle school right now, my mom won't allow her to have a cellphone until high school. But it's becoming more and more difficult to maintain that, because it seems like the school systems themselves are encouraging students getting phones at a young age. For example, she couldn't enter the middle school ASB unless she had a cellphone. She couldn't go on field trips unless she has access to a cellphone. It's really stupid, I hope we as a society will slowly come to realize the consequences, and make smarter more careful decisions

Either that, or the moment someone does go back in time and do that, our entire timeline gets annihilated for the new one to replace it. (Which causes us as we know ourselves to cease to exist. And our other selves will either be completely different from who we are here, or never be born at all). We're in the best timeline possible, as disappointing and horrific as it is. He came up to us and started asking weird ass questions and sticking a microphone in our faces. Mexican kid with a broccoli haircut. He thought he was clowning us so hard, so I snatched his chain off his neck and started walking away. Dude went from such an arrogant troll to threatening to call his parents and started asking for help from the people around us. He literally ran over to the basketball courts and screamed that he needed help, and I mean screamed like a child. Anyway we kept his chain and I'm sure he had to explain to his parents what happened and he probably got in trouble and regretted ever doing what he did. The chain is now a ring lol.

There was a kid that was a year younger than me on my street. Little scrawny pissant thought it was hilarious to do stuff like snatch my hackey-sack and throw it over the fence while i was practicing.
I told him several times that if he didn't go get my bag back, i would make him, while he continuously taunted "what are you gonna do about it huh?"
I grabbed him by the shoulders, picked him up, and threw him over the fence (and not some kung fu style move, no i picked him up, then i threw him over the fence) think of the scene from Terminator 2 where he picks up the toddler by his overalls, that's how comically easy it was.
Spoiler, he didn't bounce, he did however immediately lose his entire ish and ran home to Daddy bawling his eyes out, who promptly came lumbering down the street to intimidate me into getting my dad.

All you can really do is explain calmly and rationally explain what isn’t good for them and why, and even if they don’t understand now, they’ll have the knowledge for later. They are 12-16 yo kids throwing away their life for the most stupud reasons.
We also have some that do the same but with football, they don't come in class and do nothing because they are in a club and have a tiny little chance to go further in football (Last year such boy broke his leg while skiing, for the clubs they are just cattle, such an injury is the end of their "career" , he was an absolute little shit in my class and towards me, even talking to me as if he was all and mighty and I was his butter. The day he came back in class with a broken leg I took a few minutes at the end of class to give him the papers he missed and explanations on what had to be done. I then looked him in the eyes, looked at his leg and then back at him and said "now what ?", 3 weeks later he was expelled for having too many missing days).

We all hopped the gate out except one friend who was still climbing it. The man kicked the gate to throw off his grip on the fence, he grabbed him by the lapel, and dragged him back to the office. Where he called the police and my buddy got in serious trouble for trespassing. In my town if you do this I know exactly how this goes down: person you harrassed will yell out, "get that kid, he just put his hand in my food!" And then you'll have multiple full grown men chasing, grabbing and restraining them, and then youre gonna get lectured and grilled while they wait for the cops. I dont know where that was streamed but nobody was interested in helping that woman.
Side note, there needs to be laws that impose much harsher punishments if someone breaks the law intentionally for the sake of entertainment. Any fine or sentence should be doubled. My opinion is that the people who make this content are profiting from it, and committing crime for profit is generally much worse. For example, vandalism is common but usually the perpetrator has nothing to gain from it, but filming yourself vandalizing something and making money from the content... I would want that person to face much harsher consequences if I was the victim of their vandalism.
Edit: I was very sauced up when writing this comment and don't necessarily agree with my stances on legal changes. I don't believe any legal change is necessary, instead I would stress that cultural attitudes change where people are not afraid of suffering grievous legal repercussions for correcting this sort of behavior. If a kid wants to be a punk, someone else should be able to rough them up and not suffer assault charges or face repercussions for doing the "parenting" that the kids were not afforded. In translation: talk shit, get hit.
Sorry for any confusion or disagreements.

What’s even more important to note is if adults intervene on these kids doing stuff like this, that runs the risk of the adult getting arrested for putting their hands on a minor

Not true, quite spreading this misconception. It's why people think they have to just let this shit go. If they put hands on you, you can defend yourself, and you can drag them off someone too if needed.

@@kyletucker3811 well, no, that's just not how the legal system works. There is no "one size fits all" rule in these situations. You can still get arrested and charged, and then you have to go through the incredibly draining process of arguing self defense. Even if you have a good case, no one wants to go through the legal system to get to that point. There simply is no guarantee when you're dealing with police discretion and prosecutorial discretion, so often it is better to be safe than sorry.

It’s the failures of parents. Parents act just like the kids and allow them on screens 24/7. Then blame the devices and “the media” while refusing to take any blame.
