Thanks for taking the time to check it out! I really appreciate the support! Every time I watch one of your videos it takes me back to working on Galaxy’s Edge. Keep up the fantastic work!
Simply beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for this video and touching story. I hope you and your family are blessed with all the joy you can absorb 🙏🏼💚
@@ElementsofImagination No, thank you guys for bringing something that brings so much joy and happiness to those who grew up living in that world since childhood and can now physically be amongst the galaxy far far away! You and your life partner are very special amd.share something very special to us fans. 💚 👏🏼 P.S.- Did you guys also work on the WDW version?
@@King_Zer1 Thank you! That really means a lot. We did build a lot of elements that we send over for WDW, but we were not physically there to install them.
I so enjoyed watching this. Just smiling throughout. I’ve still to stand before the Falcon at Galaxies Edge. Probably be a blubbering mess as that little 10year kid back in 77 will get his wish. Your heartfelt words and incredible team build will be fell for generations to come. From the bottom of my heart ‘Thank You’
Wow, what an incredible story/achievement! Truly inspirational. This model is really beautiful, and such a treasured keepsake you'll both have forever (not to mention the full-sized one you can see too! 😉)
Thank you for everything you did for GE! I went last year before everything, and I spent an entire day there, forgetting I was in the DLR. I took so many pictures, I just didn’t want to leave. So thank you and to the rest of the very talented people who brought this to life!
I have absolute no idea how I haven't stumbled upon this video, let alone this amazing channel earlier. As someone who grew up in SoCal, I have many many fond memories of going to Disneyland with friends and family. It's something that I hold near and dear to my heart. One of my most fond memories of those hundreds of trips was stepping into Batuu for this first time, and seeing the Millennium Falcon in real life ( and also being a huge Star Wars fan btw), it brought literal tears to my eyes. Your story is is incredible, and I'd love to hear your other amazing tales and adventures. P.S. Can I also say how inspiring your story is? As an architecture student, and someone who would love to even have the chance to even work for Disney one day, this really inspired me to keep at it and keep practicing and trying to make myself better. I've been stuck in a rut recently, and this really gave me the motivation to work even harder to achieve my dreams, thank you
@MeganChow thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and enjoyed my story. I’m so happy that this inspired you, it means a lot to me. Thank you so much for sharing your story as well. I truly hope these videos inspire these viewers to follow whatever dream they may have. That would make it all worth it!
Hi. Hello. It’s 3 years later and too late at night and I’m all teary. I miss Disney! I can go. I have a pass. But it’s too hot. Lol. I stumbled on this because I like Asmr and I just watched this and woke my husband up to watch it. We’re grown ass Disney dorks. We both kinda grew up there, him because his family went on vacation there every year, and me because Disney has been in my backyard since I was 5 years old. Disney and especially Star Wars was so pivotal in our relationship, and the first time we saw Galaxy’s Edge, my 6’4 scary looking husband was a child again and it was so beautiful to see. And it was you!!!! And this story! You were part of our story and I had no idea. Thanks for making these videos. For my hearts sake, and for my sleeps sake. 😂😂😂 ❤ I love you and your partners story.
Sorry for such a late response but thank you so much for this wonderful comment! Its so amazing that this wonderful community enjoys the videos and the projects I've had the pleasure of being part of. Thank you for sharing you and your husbands story! My fiancée and I have been very fortunate to be on a few journeys like this together and this was one that I truly wanted to capture in a fun and unique way, that was not just a picture. Also, we were unable to take photos of course since at the time Galaxy's Edge was hidden from the world. I hope you and your husband get to go to the park and enjoy it again soon! I hope you have an unforgettable fun time!
Bro your talented, and does sure takes my breath away seeing the in full size falcon. Its awesome seeing all the things you create. Any way you can share with us you projects and also let us help you out by purchasing any?
@JMtz thank you so much. I really appreciate all the support and kind words. At the moment all my project on this channel are personal project and are not for sale but I will be opening up for commission soon if you are interested in getting a custom one of a kind piece for yourself.
I’ve been building models of cars since I was about 8 years old. I am now 73. I entered a couple models in the local fair. Still have the blue ribbons. I did a lot of drawing of cars and trains. Thought about going to work for Fisher Bodyworks. Still have all my Lionel trains plus about $100,000 more. Grew up at Disneyland. Grad night, two honeymoons. Highlights of my life. Bought property in Hemet that had excess lot the shape of Disneyland. So, I built G scale Disneyland. Had Garden Railroad Society come for day soon after that my health gave out. 5 surgeries in 4 years. Still have lot but railroad is somewhat abandon. I’m a big collector of anything Disneyland especially vehicles and buildings. Got all of the Radiator Springs done but Mattel dropped the project. I think you could sell quite a few of the buildings that didn’t get done. City Hall, Monument Valley Automotive, etc. there are a lot of pictures when you search Radiator Springs Precision. Please help us complete our projects for our grandkids.
Hi Marshall, Thank you so much for reaching out and telling me about your story. Looks like you and I share a love for miniatures and Disneyland. This G-Scale model of Disneyland display sounds like a dream and I would love to see it. I will be available for commissions soon and would love to help you out with your project for your grandkids. If you are interested please email me at the email provided on the about page on my channel page. Really nice to hear from you, and thank you for the support! -Matt
Thank you Elian, I used a product called CelluClay to create the rockwork. It's a paper máché product that works well for things like this. It's lightweight and sculpts pretty well once it sets for a little while.
Cool story. Awesome model. but man, the slow, drawn out, 5 word at a time delivery was really tiresome. Was cool as an intro, but it went on for 10 long minutes. Not trying to to take a way from your ability. You’re clearly extremely talented, but it would be fine to just hear your regular conversation voice. That said, Galaxy’s Edge was a really cool experience and I felt like a kid with how giddy I was to be there. Got to go before the park opened for the day and just got to walk around it without large crowds which was awesome. And got to do the millennium falcon experience a few times with pretty much no line.
This was just incredible. What a great story, amazing adventure, and inspirational to get out there and live life! Thanks for sharing.
