Nice black tigerinus.. I used to keep tigerinus.. One of my favourite alongside with Indian gnooch. Tigerinus definitely not easy for novice to keep.
He has been one of my toughest fish surprisingly. I want a goonch but try to stay SA.

Yeah everyone wants a mint for a used tank any bigger around here. Thats why I built mine.
Don't scold me being a fish lover...when I was a total novice,more than 10 years ago(no smart phone era to Google).. I was successful by chance or the worse yet to happen..I had well cat, channel cat, tiger shovelnose, RTC, alligator gar, tigerinus, Indian gnooch, gulper and some other..one super catfish(electric cat) I put in the tank and overnight all died..only survivor was the gulper...even the electric cat also died. I have a video of some of them before moving them into bigger tank...
Oscar fish and peacock bass both have that black circle with orange ring around it on the tail. Why is that? Are they related in some way?
The eye spot is common in many fish. They are both cichlids.
How do you heat your tanks? What heater do you use if you use one?
The pump keeps it warm then two titanium heater.and heat the room
