Very nice build. I really like the purpose built mods and how you focused on pure function. Way too many guys build flashy or “hey look at me” trucks. Yours is great!!
This is a very slick build. I love the whole overland/rock crawl look, but in my neck of the woods it's at a 0.. mainly just mud (at times) and sand. I'd still like to build an prerunner look on mine but as of now It's "alright" lol
@@gio.rodriguez How did you monetize your video because you have an ad at the beginning with only 140 some subscribers? Because I thought you had to have over 1000 subscribers and have 4000 hours of watch time
Love the build! Been following your build on Instagram for quite some time now and just love the attention to detail and effort you put into it while keeping a more oem+ aesthetic. Definitely a nice change in comparison of all the full bro-overlander style build you now see everywhere. Do you plan on making a walk around video of your Hondas too?
With such a stealth build. I was waiting to hear which route you took for the regear? Im sure you've put some thought into that. Noticed the exhaust tail pipe delete. Just picked up a longbox exhaust from a takeoff in the buy/sell. Made it fit my short box on the weekend. I love all the cheap OEM parts one can get to keep these trucks running. Mines an 06 TRD Sport Manuel.
How's your transmission and mpg holding up with those tires? I'm running 265 75r16 Nittos with a 3 inch lift and getting 17 avg mpg. Nice looking truck.
I got the seat jackers for both seats with the molle rack, and 1/2” rear spacers for both front seats 👍🏻 Very worth it imo. They provide great lower back support for long trips
I recently went with 35” tires no re gear till I save up, but my question is how was your transmission getting hot? Was it from off-roading or just cruising your truck. Btw awesome build
It was tuned with hp tuners, but the guy that did it remote tunes exclusively for overland tailor tuning now. It’s currently on the stock 3.73 gears and does ok
I love them! The coilovers have been on since 2018 and I’ve only changed the lower bearings once. Stainless steel bodies are easy to maintain, and the 650 springs can support the front winch setup without issue.
Such an awesome truck! Do you ever rub your inner fender well when wheel is turned and stuffed? I am on 35s and I rub inner fender well when wheel is turned and stuffed. Watching your video I do not see any marks indicating you're rubbing. From looking at a few of your videos it looks like you do go Wheeling but I know for me personally unless I am at full stuff and wheels turned it won't rub. Maybe you haven't tried?
With the HP tuner, did you do all the tuning yourself? Is there the ability to have a remote tune done or upload someone else's tune for the same build?
Love it, have a taco 22 can you send me the link for the flare the extinguisher 🧯, and your cam. You really make the taco look like a tough beast, great
Everybody seems to modify with the goal of “look at me” and then it looks like 99.9% of all Toyotas. Nice to see a sleeper, well done.
Haha very true! Thank you, I appreciate it 👍🏻
Amen to that

Haterrr 😂😂😂
Man that thing is so awesome, I never would've known about all the cool custom work you have done. 10/10
Thank you! A lot of that stuff goes unseen but it's nice to know that it's appreciated by others.
I come back every month for inspiration and for my truck.
Thank you man, I appreciate it!

Thanks a lot Scot! I appreciate it! 🤙🏻
Great job on this built, brotha. Minimal is key. Just the basic equipment and spending the money where it counts the most.
Really nice job on this build. The stock look but still built looks awesome.
Thank you! Appreciate it🤙🏻
Love the build brother, very clean work. i respect the hours you put into this beauty ❤💪.
Much appreciated!
Beautiful Tacoma dude! Nice to see you actually use it as well from seeing the skid plates!
Thank you! It’s done some pretty wild trails in Moab and Big Bear 😎
I envy this truck bro. I can't wait to mod out my 2nd gen. This is so clean

Amazing clean build, respect!
Thanks for sharing Gio.
Damn nice build! The bolt made into a valve stem cap is just insane detail and very cool!
Thank you! I was looking for final touch and that was the perfect piece to add.
How does this channel not have a million subs! The channel and your work looks so professional.
I’m impressed bro. I’m just like you with builds and likings wow
Thank you! It’s still evolving slowly, but will look the same on the outside. Tackling the sound system and sound deadening next 🤙🏻
New favorite 2nd gen build...great work! I dream that my 2nd gen will be there someday!
Thank you! It takes time, this build started in 2017
@@gio.rodriguez For the seat jackers did you only have the fronts installed or the rears as well?
2:06 My favorite mod you did! Truck looks solid
Thanks! It took a whole day to fit all the parts together, but I love the end result 🤙🏻
Bro went crazy
Nice build dude! Definitely going to subscribe!
Thank you!
Sick build bro! I'm definitely going to be doing somethings similar but I'm looking into straight axel swap
Thanks! I would love a sas too, but it’s too nice to cut up
One of my fav 2nd gens 😤
Thank you!
I'll take this over the new 4th gen all day
So much added weight. It makes sense if you rock crawl a lot.
I like the air intake!
Impressive bro!
Appreciate it!
BALLER set up!

Nice truck

Nice job.

My OCD would not allow me to scratch up them Volks off-road lol sick build

I actually haven’t regeared yet. I’m still looking into which route I want to go, but for now the tune and cam gears help a lot!
pardon if you mentioned this in the vid - what's the lift all around?
I want to put some 315 on my taco as well need to do some trimming 🥹
It’s definitely doable! You just have to take your time so it comes out nice 🤙🏻
How's your transmission and mpg holding up with those tires? I'm running 265 75r16 Nittos with a 3 inch lift and getting 17 avg mpg. Nice looking truck.
My mpgs are 13mpg combined city/hwy driving and the trans is doing just fine. The trans cooler and line heat shields dropped the temps 25°
Do you have a write up for the transmission cooler? So sick
Thanks! I could probably come up with a quick video showing how I mounted and routed everything.
please do!!@@gio.rodriguez
Clean taco!
Thank you!
Did you get the 4 seat jackers for the driver seat? How do those feel?

I recently went with 35” tires no re gear till I save up, but my question is how was your transmission getting hot? Was it from off-roading or just cruising your truck. Btw awesome build
I have a white V6 with a 6-inch lift and 35's it's white with all black wheels and emblems. It looks so similar to this it's not even funny
Finally!!! A very well executed Taco!!! Sick of seeing all these overland built bullshit. 🍒 truck brah 🤙🏽
Thank you! I appreciate it
Question what you do to add 37s?
Badass Tacoma! What will you regear to if you do?
Thank you! The future plans would be regear and 4.56 with a supercharger
Killer rig. Do you remember what parts you bought to pipe that ram air scoop? Doing that same detail pretty soon
I’ll be posting a video on that soon 🤙🏼

@@uhhZulfurs no prob 🤝🏻
what was the cost to machine bead locks to all 4 wheels?
The price varies based off options that you can choose to do when you spec out the job, but I’d say around $1400-$1700 for 4 wheels.
Any more details about your tune? Not a lot of folks tuning 2nd Gens. Also, what about gearing for the 35’s?
It was tuned with hp tuners, but the guy that did it remote tunes exclusively for overland tailor tuning now. It’s currently on the stock 3.73 gears and does ok
2015 Pro did not come with side badging.
Is it a faux Pro or did you add the badging?
Yes it did
What year and how many miles does that beauty have? 😍
2015 with around 132k miles 😎🤙🏻
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Your seat jackets have the lift spacers in the back bolt up also?
I did 1/2” spacers for the rear bolts 👍🏻
What year is your truck?
how do the dirt logic shocks hold up vs. something like kings or foxes

@@gio.rodriguez are you running the 6" version for the fronts as well or is that just in the rear
@@usafbade2012 just the rear shocks from their 6” lift 👍🏻
@@gio.rodriguez are the fronts the 3"
@@usafbade2012 Yes, they are their 3” coilovers cranked up just a bit to account for the extra weight from the winch & mount.
Nice build man! Did you have to do a body mount chop?
Thank you! It does have a pretty aggressive chop, but it does still rub on it a little bit at full lock.

@gio.rodriguez , nice! I do as well with 35/12.50/17 -38 offset. Last week I took a sledgehammer to my Fender wells. And now no more rub
Are you going to do a video on how to do the fender flares👀🤞🏻
Unfortunately I do not plan on doing a video about the fender trim. There is a lot of info out there, but I do it my own way with some custom tooling.
Did you viper cut your front bumper ? Or were you able to buy it that way
I trimmed the bumper significantly from stock, but I didn’t do a viper cut. Im not a huge fan of the way they look.
video spec fo that crx in the garage
It’s a hatchback, check out my channel I just posted a vid on it 🤙🏻
Nice s2k ! How do you like having a street car and taco as a daily as opposed to another fun car daily like a newer 340i etc.
Also love the TEs
Thank you! It’s definitely nice have the best of both worlds with the Tacoma and s2000. Luckily my wife has a 328i that we use for most occasions lol
What exactly is the purpose for the Seat jackers?? Serious question. Bad ass build, really clean man! 🔥
Thanks man! They change the position of the seat for lower back support. In my option it makes a big difference in long trips.
Looks great man! So when and how much will it cost me to have you trim the fenders on my 2009 Tacoma? 😁😁
Thank you! Send me a message on instagram @tacosupreme____
Whats the total lift? 3 or 6?
It has a 3” lift 👍🏼
Assuming-38 offset on the wheels ?
It’s close to that after the beadlock conversion
How much you want for the wheels and tiers lol.
I can’t find those wheels
It took me 11 months to get them and send them out to get beadlocked lol. I'll be keeping them for ever!
What mpg you getting fam?
Around 15mpg, 75% highway 24% city driving

My tune was done specifically for this truck with the mods and tire size in mind, but the tuner only tunes through OTT now.
When is ARP sponsorship coming?
Hopefully sooner than later! lol
