MY 07 CM is going to roll over to 250,000 miles in a couple of days. No cam tower leak, no SAIC problems, no valve spring problems. This truck is uber reliable and thats why I bought it in 2022 with 213,000 on it. Never had any doubts.
Just got my first tundra, going on 55k miles. Plan on keeping it till the wheels fall off. Did 15k miles in first year of ownership, woah does it drink gas. 12MPG CITY - 15/16 HIGHWAY
Thanks for the video! I love my 07 double cab limited with leather and it has 145k and runs all day. Added an aftermarket Pioneer stereo with 9.2” screen and CarPlay. As you mentioned no BSM or Dynamic Cruise Control, lane keep, but has sensors on front and rear bumpers with backup camera on the larger screen. Interior has 3 places for sunglasses, business cards and a file holder for contractors.
Nice looking truck! That's a great color scheme. I have a 2015 double cab and its the best of all worlds. Room for adults in the back with storage under the seat (unlike the crew max) and a longer bed. I'm still surprised at some of the things I've fit back there and can still close the tailgate.
Had the valley plate leak in my 2008. Had my coolant changed at ~100k miles and had the leak at ~160k miles. I think its a poor design at the corner of the plate in the back, and the back where there are more heat cycling as well to loosen the RTV.
Best truck ever made.

Good maintenance history when you purchased?

Ease up on the acceleration, getting 17 with cooper discover rugged treks. 2021 crew max.
I love my 2012 Rockwarrior. I treat it like a show truck 😅it’s garage kept. I don’t run it in the snow. I have a Camry I run all year round.
Perfect daily driver
Great thing about the 2nd gen is the aftermarket plug In play world .

I struggled w aftermarket radios because of mic placement. Got a lot of echo and feedback .
@@backyarddadKL The one that came with my unit was placed by the rear view mirror and works perfectly-no echo or feedback.
18 and up have adaptive cruise control

It’s the best half ton available in America.
did you put a leveling kit on it or a small lift?
Yes, the front is technically “leveled” w Bilstein 5100 on the 2nd setting, and the rear has air bags when towing or hauling.
I'll be keeping my '17 SRS double cab for a long time. Had my '06 crew cab for 12 years. Toyota doesnt make trucks for me anymore.
I understand that. I’m not sure I like the new direction either.

Dang, sounds like a “when” it happens more than an “if”
@@backyarddadKL I think it’s still a low frequency failure still, just unlucky
What size tires? I like those
Level kit or lift?
275/70/18 - 1.5 inch Bilstein 5100
