Love the set up bro, I got a 2wd 2011 tacoma and have the same lights, had morimoto fog lamps until I got a baja set up for free due to an issue with the bumper.
I went crazy putting a heavy duty metal bumper, icon suspension, ultra hunter rims with falken wildpeak tires, joying headunit and a few minor upgrades.
Quite honestly it might not be fully practical in heavy off road but it looks great and works perfect for light off road and trails .

@@TRDAidan I just finished putting a grill guard on it that was from a totally different vehicle. I’ve had that grill for over 20 years and I’ve managed to modify it to fit four vehicles that I’ve owned! A dodge caravan, a Nissan frontier and a Ford expedition.
Love the truck man! I have and 07 4x4 crew cab Taco with a 2.5 lift the same wheels and 31's, also have the same headlights, LOVE THEM!!

Hey Aiden. I saw your rig on your buddy’s channel; nice content.
But for a half-hour yesterday I tried to get the ambers to show on my lights(I have the exact same headlights) and it did not work. You say that to make the ambers work to put the e brake on right? I did that and it didn’t work. Any suggestions? Btw I subscribed, thank you for your help and tips.
Hey Michael. Getting the amber DRLs on is not a permanent setting. The headlights for the 05-11 tacomas do not support that option, only the 12-15 headlights do. To have them amber the truck must be off, with the parking on, and then when you turn the lights on with the hand knob on the left of the steering wheel they will be amber until activation of the truck.

i’m technically the 3rd owner, i believe these came with the rear locker from factory

@@Tackz777 used to call them prerunners. Same stance and size as 4x4s, the prerunner offroad models even came with a rear locker.

Dude you should tint your head lights they have clear I seen a few guys do that it protects your headlights from getting damaged on the rocks whatever hits the lights when you’re driving all those people I see you online they sell those kids to make your headlights clear again and they clean them one time and the next day they’re all fogged up again because there’s condensation and cracks in the headlights the first guy I’ve seen him do that he worked at a body shop but now I see a lot of people do it to protect their lights and your Your lights are really nice I would even do the fog lights with the clear to keep everything really nice my wife has a 2020 RAV4 I’m about to grab I’m trying to find a 2020 Tacoma because I would like to get to six cylinder never had a Toyota pick up I have a forerunner in the past and my wife’s RAV4 I’m gonna add some aftermarket mods she was always a Nissan person you gotta get away from them I’m not knocking Nissan they have a lot of nice vehicles but the maximum but anything besides a maximal step up to the infinity FX 35 Infiniti I 35 years back i’m really mad that I got rid of the FX 35 because everybody’s making those things look really really nice now and they’re like the Toyotas people are keeping them forever I’m not gonna lie like that SUV drives like a sports car because I had a 350 Z it really handles really well and it’s fast 👍👍👍

Have you ever seen that RUclips channel to come with beast those guys they make a lot of aftermarket things for Toyota trucks they even fabricate thank it was some fog lights they did for somebody and they needed some fabrication work I think for the headlights I’m not mistaken it’s amazing what they do with the fabrication machine work in 3-D printing I’ve seen a guy online and 3-D printed a piece for the camera in the rear was really nice

Why did you take the front inner fender trim off, ? there is actually a body line on the front bumper, i was thinking of doing the same thing, the only problem I have was, I have a Bushwalker knock off fender flares, and it goes all the way down to the front bumper..
since the fenders are trimmed, you lose almost all mounting points for the fender liners. plus even if they were left to hang in there by 1 or 2 clips, they wouldn’t sit flush nor would they be stable
Sweet truck! I just picked up some ssw apex wheels. I’m on the fence between mudders and the ko2’s. may i ask, what are the big cons between the two? What would you say your mpg difference is from the ko2s to the yk-mt? 2-3 mpg’s?

it really just depends on your use for the truck. in my opinion i really didn’t care for my ko2s at all. they didn’t perform well off road and were louder then the geolandars on the highway. for a/t tires i’d look into falken, m/t i’d say falken or yokohama. i don’t really keep track of the gas mileage anymore tbh but even if i did it’d be hard to compare since these are bigger than my ko2s.
You're kicking up a lot of shit without mud flaps
the tires have pretty big tread gaps, so they don’t really fling up rocks that much. i get where you’re coming from tho, i’m always mindful of how i’m driving & when i have people behind me. been trying to put together a bracket to reattach some aftermarket flaps to the flare supports. appreciate your comment👍🏼
@TRD Aidan overall I love the mods you did to this truck (the headlights are sick) but yeah, you'd be surprised how many small rocks and crap in general gets flung up hitting the driver behind you on the highway. We all know what the CRACK sound feels like when it's us behind a truck kicking shit up. Just my 2cents. Take care

The truck looks great!!! I have the same set up but how were you able to align the grill with the hood...i have the same grille and it sits above the hood a little bit?

After doing some research and checking out this video, he has a 1st gen grill and he cut his hood off. That why he has some trim on the end of his hood where it meets the grill
