  • On Oct 4th 2017 I had a Rectocele Repair along with correcting damage to my rectum due to a major prolapse of my colon. I had 18 inches of my colon removed June 19th 2017. This is the last surgery to correct more of the damage done.
This journey first started when I was diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome in Dec 2014 which then to my hysterectomy in April 2016 when to help with chronic pain. It eventually lead me down this path to further corrective surgeries.

Thank you for posting this. I am 3 days post op from a laparoscopic hysterectomy and rectocele repair and the rectocele repair has been the most painful part so far. It’s been so much more pain than I thought it would be. Constant pain meds are the only thing getting me through.

Next Friday I'm supposed to have a robotic hysterectomy (leaving ovaries) and then sacrocolpopexy mesh sewn in to repair a rectocele and cystocele. I just found your channel. Did you have a hysterectomy along with the repair ? My doctor told me i need a hysterectomy to repair the prolapse otherwise it won't last.

Get a second opinion!!!.. Personally, I would never have a hysterectomy, it can lead to other problems

Did they use a mesh to fix it? I have one right now but have been putting off having it repaired because of the mesh. I had a hernia repair about 10 years ago and my body rejected the mesh and I ended up with a massive infection and almost died. Spent 13 days in ICU. So I was just wondering if that is how they fixed yours. Thanks so much for your videos. Hope you are completely healed by now.

Difficulty dedicating and bouts of constipation also it takes a long time and some gymnastics while seated on the toilet to empty your bowels...even if you feel like you have to go it is very difficult to go poop. Always feeling like you are bloated or constipated ...ALOT of pushing and rearranging your position to poop. 45 minutes to an hour to go just even a little.alot of hemorrhoids polyps fissures bleeding from the rectum...a various number of these one or more SYMPTOMS mostly difficulty relieving the contents of ones bowels...women not men...it's a vaginal wall thing if you squat and relax you can feel the fullness of your vagina. Okay?.. you can always talk to your ob/gyn about it.i advise it.

Hi, was wondering what caused your rectocele?

YOU can push too hard to go poop or when pushing out babies the pushing is really tough and rips you apart.
