@@as-xz1ue It went well , recovery did take like 2 months . Still have to follow the clear liquid diet for 2 weeks after surgery . No heavy lifting , other then that everything was fine . Your mom will do fine and trust me when I say this she'll live better with no more pain caused by diverticulitis.

My god u are a strong woman, I'm still really scared to get my hysterectomy and I'm keeping my uterus hoping not to have to deal with the organ prolapse issue at all or not as bad. I'm wondering if I should just keep my uterus n deal with the agony and blood loss every 2 months because at least I know what's coming and what I'm dealing with and for how long like clock work as pose to getting surgery to end it but the uncharted waters dealing with new different but similar pain for much longer than 3 days, if any other complications will pop up adding more pain, having to be on pain killers I don't wanna be on but will defiantly need. If the pain is equal to what I deal with every 2 mos on my period then I can maybe just maybe deal with out pain killers only because I already do it now because Advil and stuff like that don't work for me anyway and went to the ER and was given morphine 4 times and 1st 3!shots did nothing for my contraction like pain, 4th shot only just dulled the sharpness and made me sleepy. Got good sleep at home because I was released and nothing more they could do but once it wore off and I woke up I was in pain again but slept long nuff that I woke up n a puddle of blood because I loose so much in a short time I can't sleep cuz of the pain but even if I cud sleep thru it it's not a good idea cuz I can't change n so it pools up inside of me if I sleep more than 1 or 2 hrs n watch out when u go to get up. Not good. It's hell. But I know what I'm gonna be dealing with for 3 days n how to prepare and I set up all I need rite there by my bed the day b4 do that when it hits I'm ready. I could go to take a nap cuz of the the pressure n pain building up in my back and minor bearable cramps and take Advil n it may work and only loosing Lil amounts but then I could wake up in pain and the second I sit up I feel it coming down n rite then I start vomiting, now it's started n once it has, theses so stopping it no slowing it down no Advil or Motrin that can save me n especially if 4 shots of morphine in an ER couldn't take my pain away den trying to take anything is laughable, but once it's on it's on for 3 days strait n I just stay n bed n deal with it hr by hr but gen still I know what to expect and when to expect that it'll will start to lessen and get better n when I'll b able to start to get sum sleep or rest again, then when I can get up on my feet to leave my room to when it's ok to try n shower n dress n get outside for sum fresh air and see humans again and the world go on with life. I know day by day hr by hr what to expect and for how long and how much pain I'll be I'm and what's the after effects I'll be dealing with and how to deal n prepare for that and when. Tho survey will put an end to my suffering due to my adenomyosis, the surgery it self and what comes with it I don't know what to expect and can only guess how to prepare apart from what they tell me about what to expect. My anxiety is my worst fear here, panic attacks r not fun and anytime I feel something I don't like or not comfortable with, the thought of how long will I have to just sit with it if I can't make it go away and what if it doesn't go away and it stays for ever or for longer that's I can stay calm for is nuff to send me rite into a panic. So I may have to try and get anti anxiety meds b4 surgery or tell them that I get bad anxiety and fear I'll go into a panic when I wake up or may have 1 if the pain meds wear off and I feel the extent of the pain, then I may panic and the fact that it won't go away and may be around for weeks or months will send me into panic again and then the fear of panicking because I don't know when I'll have my next panic attack who'll send me into more panic so I hope they can help me with that because normally I get over an attack but once u get to a point where u panic over when's ur next panic attack, that it self is just added stress and very torturous along with a very stressful n painful situation and can be scary. I hope I'm just over thinking and over analyzing and just over everything so that when it finally happens, I'm like, dis is it? This is what I got myself all worked up for? It's not as bad or it's more tolerable than I thought, yes lots n lots of pain but bearable cuz it's somewhat not as bad than I made it out to be. Pray for me.

Eastwestmommy I’m looking to get more vlogs done this week and uploaded. Currently recovering from a follow up surgery to this one due to the damage from my prolapsed colon....had to go back in and correct the last of it. When is your surgery scheduled for?

Blair Dreessen I see... I'm looking forward to your vlogs about this!
I'm 36 with a 3 & 5 year old and I'm having recurrent diverticulitis that came out of nowhere so my surgeon wants to remove the damaged part which I'm all for. I have to heal from this current attack and that takes 6-8 weeks until surgery that's scheduled because I don't want an emergency surgery on my colon. It's been stressful so I'm glad I found a young woman like you with same colon procedure.
      Thank you!

I'm so glad we connected!!! I know it's not easy to find other women who have had a surgery like this......and I of course wanted to learn more, and chat with others since that's so helpful to get that extra support. Feel free to email me too girl if you want infofitwithblair@gmail.com
The last week I've been in a ton of pain from my last surgery, so didn't get around to making update vlogs. I'm starting to feel some relief so will get on this soon.
