    In this episode, we show you How To: Lift Your 3rd Gen Tacoma in 15 Minutes! We Install a 3.5" Lift and 33's on a 2020 TRD Sport! I’ll show you some tips and tricks if you’re installing this ‪@RoughCountryTV‬lift kit and we check out these 33/12.50R18 ‪@AtturoTires‬Trail Blade M/T Tires. I also give you a quick status update on the Durango build which I’ve pulled the drive train out of and what’s next with the Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ.
    Below is the link for the 3.5" Rough Country kit for 2005-2023 4wd Tacoma. One with full leaf springs and another link for the one with blocks instead of leaf springs. I used the full leaf springs, but depending on your budget, there are 2 options with similar lift results.

    With leaf springs - amzn.to/3QgHxA9

    Super helpful! I have an ‘18 SR5 DCLB that I am going to be lifting in the near future. I am struggling between the 3.5in and the 6in from RC. I am leaning towards the 6in due to my particular likes for aesthetics. Any advice? Have you done the 6in RC lift before?

    • @PSFGarage
      @PSFGarage  9 месяцев назад +1

      Glad it was helpful! I like to keep things low and create clearance for larger tires with trimming. The 6” kit is cool though as long as you’re comfortable cutting the lower crossmember from your front suspension. It’s a great kit and works well. If you’re just aiming to run 33’s, go with the 3.5” lift and do some trimming of the front body mount. If you’re going 35’s, then use the 6” kit but know there’s other things that come with that too. Do your research!

    I bought the 3.5in lift kit from rough country for my 2021 TRD 4x4 Tacoma, it’s the $800 one. It didn’t come with the differential washers. Do I still need to make a cut on the bracket for the differential? Or is it fine to leave like that?

      @macneoh7418 6 месяцев назад +2

      I bought the full 3.5 kit with UCA and leaf packs for my 2017 TRD off-road. I didn't need to cut anything. That $800 kit should've come with the diffental Spacers though. My kit came at different times. I didn't receive it all at once. It took like a week to get everything. With the $800 kit, you should get the spacers. I would contact RC if you don't.

I know you said yours fits 33's with no rubbing without the mudflaps, do you think a skinnier tire like to 275/60r20 would fit with no rubbing as well? I live in DC so its more of a city drive around truck for me, so dont hate to much!

      Hey, to each his own! No hate from me on that, whatever you’re into is cool with me. Hard to say on that size. Seems like it would probably fit since the tires are a bit narrower than the 12.5 wide ones I was running. I give it a good chance of working! Worst case, you need to do a little light trimming or add a spacer or something but not much. Do it!!

      Thanks for the input, and for watching. This isn’t my personal vehicle. It was a customer build and everyone has different budgets. For this basic lift, it was a decent kit and the customer still loves it 25k miles later.

    Is the lift both 3.5” front and rear?
