That’s why I can’t watch on Twitch anymore. That would have taken 20 minutes longer than it should have done ‘for the content/memes’. Was funny the first few times, now I get bored rewatching an entire level being played 8+ additional times for padding.

I was blown away when that pipe and conveyor just appeared, I knew about black hole and broken track making things appear, but not entire setpieces like that. But when it was revealed it was dark and hidden by the shadows, complete genius

Not gonna lie, the safety coins are the main reason why I've stopped watching these on Twitch and started just waiting for the youtube uploads instead.
@@Sylocat how ironic. youtube comments always complains about him getting the safety coin while twitch chat encourages him (atleast according to carl). But for youtube its cut together into a short compilation while the twitch viewers have to watch carl play the same level 5 times.
@@RockZerr tbf, If I'm watching Twitch, I leave it in the background while I do other things. If I'm watching a RUclips video, I give it a majority of my focus, so watching someone do the same thing over and over again gets repetitive.
Intentionally die to same thing again and again to create more contents/create more bits donation. Complete waste of time.

honestly i feel like the funniest part of this level is that after the absolute gigabrain troll that is the appearing pipe, they immediately hit you with the lowest brain “lol pit hidden by night theme get fucked” troll
Even that one gave you an out if you were observant. Right next to the patch of darkness is an arrow pointing the wrong way compared to the others.
Love the "I'm with stupid" and arrow pointing to where the streamer usually is in the level description. Always funny to see trolls before the level starts.

I remember watching Tanuki Dan play that map, than Geek and now Carl. That pipe gets me every time, how come I've never ever seen that troll? (I enjoy seeing the amazement how they realize that the whole map was designed for that single troll.)

The dark level you didn't know was a dark level is the deadliest.
The Credits level has the same kind of misdirection as the first level did - the cheering crowd is used to cover the bottom part of the screen every time it doesn't matter, so that the punchline at the end can land. Great level design

The 50% playback speed STEVO song is so cursed, yet to beautiful. Amazing level, fun edit, great work from one of the two great minds in the troll community ^^
I almost have to admire Carl's steadfast refusal to either use the safety coin for its intended purpose or to do one of the doors he already knows how to do as the last door.
The Tuta level is yet another entry into my favorite Troll Genre: "I didn't know that happened in Night Theme!"
Editor touches to the repeated key deaths is incredible!
My challenge to troll creators: make a level that convinces Carl to not take the safety coin- but where taking the safety coin first is required.

I know there was a red coin level YEARS ago, where the bit was that going through all of the sections to collect the red coins would kill you at the end.

24:28 The layers of trolling here, man! That's actually a darkness level being made to look like a regular one thanks to the glow of the pow blocks! The darkness doesn't reach the pipe, therefore concealing it to you, while also making it look like it pops out of nowhere, when you go near it!

That level twist was quite an amazing troll and realization.
I just had a thought, in 3D world theme, you could make it impossible to beat the level if you grabbed the safety coin by putting locked warp blocks at the end of each section that lead to death([anti]softlock if the creator wished to be evil). I wonder if there is a way to prevent the player from beating the level if the saftey coin is grabbed in the other game modes...

I was kinda surprised u called the Level best of 2023 so far after playing the Banned Wagon, those were some of the very best also. Although the night gimmick that was not revealed till the end was absolutely brilliant. So there is a good argument ,Year of the GUTS is looking good...Geek called it
