fantastic race level!!! The powerup switching eating time as they try to race through actually makes it *perfect* for racing! It's not about difficulty, but about how you can avoid picking up too many powerups and letting your opponent get ahead. It is a *great* idea for a multiplayer vs. level!

I watch Cracking the Cryptic and there are some of the Mario Maker creators that makes an appearance, both in the comment section or as a sudoku setter. Like 3Good5You, SuspiciousDoor, Rubenscube. Even NoFeetMacGee appears and I miss her making levels like the school themed one from SMM1 as well as the level just called "Z"

I’m glad I saw this. Since Geek retired, it feels like the density of good troll levels has fallen off precipitously.
I remember iirc Carl saying that none of the big streamers were able to watch Geek regularly because she was the one who found all the good levels for everyone else. Post-retirement, I’m seeing that effect.

The problem with the ending troll of the first level is that the common wild Larl is not known to be able to see 3 feet in front of himself. I wonder what would have happened had Carl actually even tried to roll to keep the mush... if anything special was supposed to happen anyway. But that's part of why we love him ^^

my overanalyzing brain is immediately interested at that very first troll there: the usage of skipsqueak(s!) there is brilliant because you won't expect it to move horizontally; if it were, say, a shell, you will just jump to avoid it

I've actually had a theory long before the TikTok tirade of ant smelling "superpower" was a thing. A good while ago(pre-TikToks existence), when I was living with my my parents, my mother would always get a salad from work with blue cheese dressing. Sometimes I would borrow some of the salad without returning it, for everyone's benefit mind you, and one day I decided to give the blue cheese dressing a shot. I tasted it and the first thing out of my mouth was that it had tasted like the smell of dead ants. Now what irked me was that everyone around who isn't in the know gave me the "what in the frick-fracking-fuck?!" look, including my mom, which is when I first formulated the theory that if you can smell the pheromones dead ants release, you are more likely to dislike blue cheese dressing(depending on brand and such being that it's related to the pheromone release, yada-yada). Now obviously my mom was the first on the list as the counter to myself as she couldn't smell dead ants and I could. As I went down the list, I probably asked a solid 100+ people or so over the first few years(a lot for a casual introvert not writing the answers down) and came to the conclusion that it might be linked in a similar way to the cilantro/soap situation(i.e. a gene difference in the smelly boys) as everyone I had asked aside from one said that they couldn't smell dead ants and liked the blue cheese dressing or vise versa. The one person who answered opposite had later stated that he hadn't tried blue cheese nor smelled ants but felt compulsive to answer for some God-forsaken reason and stated that one day they would try it out for me. They have not and it's been too many years to care. Now I've also heard that some people smell it as coconut/coconut tastes of dead ants but I've never had an issue with coconut/coconut flavor and pina-coladas are my favorite drink so maybe there might be some overlap/a third party to this fun timewasting mess but I've given up on this long ago. Anyways, thanks for reading what clearly happens to be as much of a time-waste as my theory.
It’s crazy how I that I only play Mario maker two since 2021. I’ve seen so much more crazy stuff in trolls levels that he cannot even imagine(iknowimnobody) this shows you how good troll levels are as an art. ❤

Yeah I've thought this too, banned wagon collab was nice because it went through the history. Best bet might be Tuta levels since they're simple, or starting from MM1 trolls.
My superpower is that I know what ants taste like! When I was a child, I liked to sneakingly snack on Nutella (a Hazelnut cream). I stopped when it was half empty, left the spoon inside the jar and because of that I couldn't completely close it, there was still a small open gap. I hid the jar on the floor beside the couch. The next day I read a book on the couch, remembered my left over and without looking I grabbed the jar, took the spoon and took a healthy bite. Immediately I took the spoon out of my mouth again, you couldn't even see any cream on the spoon, it was completely covered by ants! 😂😂😂
Ants have a kind of citrusy taste. I prefer eating them one by one though.

5:00 Let me explain how that works. You see, here's the thing... On one hand, slopes are janky. On the other hand, cars are janky. And when you combine the two, and you do the math to figure out the probability of jank, at one point you have to divide by zero and this explains why the car does that.

Smell is a lower priority sense under default human brain wiring, so unless it's one of the overpowering smells you run into and HAVE to figure out what causes that smell it is very easy for you to not make a connection to a specific smell and its source, and after a while your brain will pretty much ignore olfactory signals that it is familiar with but doesn't have an association to what causes it.
The brain is usually pretty good about filtering out sensory information that it doesn't think is useful (like the light being bounced off of your nose into your retinas right now).

Some Ants do indeed have a scent to them. Depends on the type of ant, in kansas we got these things things called sugar ants, they're these smaller black ants (compared to other ants a little smaller), and they got a smell to them, especially if you try smashing them they produce a fairly strong smell, like maybe it's a pheromone warning to other ants or something idk. It's not exactly sweet smelling though, which is where they get their name, but more like an oily airfreshener's attempt at a sweet smell, if that makes any sense.
I haven't exactly gone around sniffing ants though, to compare how other types of ants might smell or under the circumstances, but they do communicate with pheromones so it makes alot of sense that you might be able to pick up on some of them and identify them by the scent.
Also other bugs can have scents too, roaches have a pretty distinct smell when they're around, but in their case it's worse than the ants, because just them shedding or molting leaves a smell. So you don't even have to engage in combat with them, to have your senses assaulted.
We need an honest SMM2 Trailer with voice over where Nintendo want to sell us glitches as features.
