When you hover over the cog on the level editor, press left or right and you will be able to take a screenshot to use as a thumbnail.

If you go to the settings cog and hit left or right, you can use the screenshot tool. This will take a screenshot of the level wherever you set the camera and put that as the painting image.

I recently found out, You gotta have Framebuffer setting on.

Highlight the settings at the bottom and press D-left or D-right

Does this work with emulation?

@LSSLevels yeah I figured out that the parallel emulator emulates the SD card needed for the levels but I cant play it on pc anyways. The video I figured it out from said you could manually make a virtual SD card but I have no idea how. I'm wondering how I can use pretty much any emulator even if that takes away level sharing.

You aren't able to use other emulators at the moment. There's a branch of PJ64 that has the virtual SD card emulation but as far as I know it would need to be compiled from Github first.
