I was mentioned. 😢 ✨✨✨ I got hired and am learning at the moment so I am getting two trainings now. 😁 I agree with what you said! Alot of it is the same at my place and I am very glad you mentioned you wont always just be delivering. HERE IS SOME HELP FOR OTHERS *Pros* at my location +++ Warehouse-type-area has a solid temperature in heat or cold. Most of all the process takes place in the same room. From unloading, to scanning/sorting, to loading them on the big truck at the end of the night, to the wash-crew cleaning the vehicle at the end of the week! So like yours, everyone is a bit like one big family...and for mine....in one big house! For a job that seems like it shouldn't be important when your there, it VERY MUCH is. International delivery is no joke. And you can't quite pin point how, but that feeling stays with you. Above average starting pay when comparing to new apprentice "trade work". The managers(not team leaders)feel especially competent. (I think I got blessed on that one though). *Cons* - - - - - - If your going to treat this as apprenticeship for a trade, then you have to be prepared to self-learn like your certificates depend on it. lol Your Leo computer has codes left and right for everything and, in general, you have to be detail oriented and possibly learn how to look for ways to learn before you even know what you need to focus on. The physical can be a blessing or a curse depending on how you treat it. For men, invest in that protein powder and high protein foods.....and SLEEP. Treat yourself like a little body builder and you will low-key get the results of one at Fedex. It's science and works. Can turn to a Pro real quick depending on your life. Under-staffing is a huge problem everywhere right now. Nothing unique to Fedex. And people will complain right and left about many things, but in the end the root will always be understaffing. That's probably the only thing holding Fedex Express back from shining in their Former glory as one of the best places to work for if you decided not to do a trade. They are still quite good though.
To Hanks for all these tips! It really helps about perspectives in this job being a newbie. 👍 Would you recommend to a new person to bring a note pad when doing your ride along to take reminder notes throughout the day??
I start my own route soon, I have not been trained on it. I’m still trying to get familiar with the Leo. I did 3 days of training on different routes so I do know what to do for the most part. I know that businesses and p1’s need to be done before 10:30am, and they require a signature (c-19) and then first initial and last name. Idk what truck to use and where to park after I’m done. I’ll probably ask my manager
@@elexustilmon so I did the interview, they told me it’s part time 24 hours limit no benefits, and they asked me if I was looking for full time and that they have full time available
I got hired as a package handler/dot I start in about a week I don't know why I'm so nervous but I am I guess being a female I just hope I'm not the only female there and hope I can pull my weight I'm used to labor intensive jobs but seeing all the negative videos others have posted has me nervous.
My daughter has been employed by Fedx Express for 3 weeks now and she LOVES IT.
It’s a great job that can definitely turn into a career!

Definitely ask your manager or the previous person who did that route
Are you talking abt FedEx express handler or driver ?
Driver
So I had a interview with express last week for the casual courier non dot position. Is it worth it?
The pay is decent and the work isn’t too bad, I’ll take it

@@julianrodriguez9748 I would take FT position, does that come with benefits?
Just got hired and got my offer letter. Haven't heard back yet on next steps. Seems like this takes awhile.
Oh yeah, it can take up to a month. Took me 3 and half weeks before I heard anything back.
@@elexustilmon At least I know now that it takes awhile. Thanks
Just applied to be a courier, hopefully I get it 🤞🏾
Good luck!

Yeah, I hate doing package handle work, we never keep them long
