I have a brand new white model Y that I’m gonna detail. Let me know if my steps are right. 1) clean the wheels. 2) lather and 2 bucket clean the exterior (I have the fly and bug cleanser I’ll use too since this is a commuter) 3) dry and then use light clay bar 4) hydro slick 5)jet seal 6) butter wet wax 7) interior clean with total interior 8) treat carpet with fabric protectant. I got fabric smart gtechniq 9) treat white vegan leather wirh colourlock faux leather protectant. (Last two didn’t see chemical guys products for these treatments) 10) silk and shine on tires and interior vinyl Let me know if this makes sense and is a good way to maintain. Also if I get a clay block how long does that last until needing to be replaced? Please, any feedback is appreciated. Thanks for the great videos. This is super helpful for an individual getting into this hobby.
shouldn't you have rinsed the car after the foam cannon to get the stuff it loosened off the car before you start with the sponge which could press down and cause a scratch?
Hey! Thanks so much for your message. Begin by removing grime with your favorite car wash soap or quick detail spray. Next, scrub the surface with Light Metal Polish to restore shine. Protect the surface with ceramic, sealant and/or wax.
@@ChemicalGuys Through this method, the yellow stains and long-standing oxidized aluminum parts on the engine of the car will be cleaned and restored to their normal state, right? Thank you very much. ♥️
I thought that's what clean slate was for? Then you wash the car? Just curious. I have a white car that needs to remove the deep embedded waxes /spots on it. Still has a shine but if you look closer the color is off in certain areas with whiter spots?
@@ChemicalGuys Thank you! My car has been sitting under some trees and I was looking for a way to start from scratch. There's a color difference in my white paint

Great video.I have a one year old white truck should I use decon spray then clay or clay then use decon spray? Thanks for your help
Hi Frank! For a one year old vehicle, try using just a Light Duty Clay Bar with Clay Luber.
Ahhhhh I love Monday , Wednesday and Friday’s!
Thanks so much for tuning in!!

If I want to use the all the following is it:
Wash, clay, decon spray, wash, glaze, jet seal, then wax?
Hey Brandon! You got it, that'll be perfect!!
- CG Nick
@@ChemicalGuys thank you! It looked amazing after all those steps! The decon got the metal flakes and the clay got the tiny rust spots around them.
@@ChemicalGuys I would have thought to decontaminate (iron removal) before clay...why not?
So it’s okay to clay bar ur car, then use ceramic coating, then finish it off with the JETSEAL?
Hey! Absolutely, that is totally fine.
Can you please tell me the procedure for cleaning and restoring the color of aluminum using Chemical Guys solution? ❤

Hi. After washing with citrus, if my car does not need any clay, can just put jetseal on?
Absolutely!
Which is better jet seal or white light?
Hey! Use the combination of White Light and Jet Seal to add gloss and protection.
After clay should I wash again before adding a wax or quick detailer ??
Hey Diego! It isn't necessary to re-wash the vehicle, a quick detail spray or surface prep such as Wipe Out will work well.
- CG Nick
will clean slate work to wash car?
Hi there! Clean Slate can be used to clean the vehicle.
After applying jet seal with the applicator pad do I need to wipe down with a microfiber towel or it doesn’t haze ?
Hey! Yes, after allowing about 15 minutes to bond, Jet Seal will haze slightly and then can be buffed off with a clean microfiber towel.

Hey! That's correct, Clean Slate removes old coats of glaze, sealant and wax while also prepping the surface for a full detail.

Is there a way to remove the tree sap, From the car? Can chemicals can be used?
Hi Juan! Use the natural cleaning oils of Butter Wet Wax to soften and remove stubborn tree sap.

@@ChemicalGuys thank you for the response. But mine has like a thick tree sap. It’s not exactly like the one in the video. Will it still work?
Do you use one mit for whole car
Absolutely!
Is clay block reusable, and how long does it last?
Absolutely! The Clay Block can decontaminate numerous vehicles before being replaced.
Do a clay mitt/towel video next!
Great suggestion!
My favorite clay THING!
Gotta love the Clay Block!
Did you use the clay block to apply the jetseal?

What is the difference between a glaze and a wax?
Hi Raymond! Glaze adds depth and enhances gloss while masking minor imperfections while wax adds shine and a durable layer of protection.
Great information. I’ll be coming into the Gardena store soon to grab me a clay block.
Enjoy your detailing products!!
How long does the dust in bed into the paint?
Hey! Contamination only takes a few days to embed the clear coat.
Wash clay block ?
Hey!! Yes simple rinse the face of the Clay Block to remove grime and then continue decontaminating the surface.
Another great video!!! Thanks man!!!
Thanks for watching!
How long does Jet Seal last?
Hey! JetSeal will last up to 12 months on the surface.
