Just bought the same TRD but it’s still in transit hence why I’m watching. Those markups are insane. I can wait a few weeks so I paid MSRP $53k + destination charge here in Utah. I liked black wheels on white until I saw these, they’re the best wheel and tire combo I’ve seen yet! Great job.

Here at the shop, we notice that machined wheels never took off for the Toyota scene when it did for all the Jeeps and other makes that did years ago. But it’s starting to get popular on Toyotas now. Glad we can show more people how great they look!

There is a old saying I think fits ALL the current 4 cylinders coming out including Toyota. ( A light that’s twice as bright burns half as long). I know there been advances but you will never see a 400,000 plus turbo ever.

I like the new look of the prinsu rack. The side rails looks better than the previous gen. But I wouldn't let a shop touch the install. I wanna rtv it myself to know it's not gonna leak water
You must have had some bad experiences with shops! We treat our customer’s trucks better than we treat our own!
I love the 4th gen Tacoma but this video summarizes why we should not have dealerships. The Model Y is the best selling vehicle in the world and the 5th best selling vehicle in America. There are no dealer markups with Tesla. But I can almost guarantee with as popular as it is there would be markups if Tesla had dealers. I would walk and/or ride the bus before I payed a dealer markup. People willing to do it are part of the problem as well.
This is why these dealerships will continue to win... people are willing to pay extra to get their truck early... love the truck but i vote with my money.

Steering? Yea, shouldn’t be any steering concerns with 35s. I do notice a difference in the weight and a regear will solve that once parts become available. Thanks for viewing!
Longo Toyota is the best. I bought my trd off road tacoma from there a year ago at MSRP.
Not a big fan of the wheels but all in all looks like a nice set up. Now to get it off road and on the trails.
I thought about trading in my 19 Tacoma v6 sr5 for the new one but I think I just keep it instead.

The plan is to re-gear and throw on a front locker asap once we can confirm parts and availability. We definitely feel the difference with the larger and heavier wheels and tires on.
I love that , like Disco, the terrible fad of black wheels is over as fast as it unfortunately started

It drives good still, but of course there’s a difference with larger and heavier tires. The re-gear will be done soon once we can confirm parts and fitment.

Any trouble with the front safety sense radar calibration with that lift? Did you have to do anything special?
Just like the previous generations, TSS is fine as long as you don’t go too reverse rake. But nobody really does reverse rake anymore anyway. 👍

I guess there won’t be any problem putting 255 80 R17’s on the factory rims with no lift. They’re 10” wide X 33.1” tall.

Its outrageous that dealers are doing the mark-up to MSRP. It's a price fixing scheme IMHO. Truck looks great even without the 35's.

Did they improve the transmission shifting over the gen 3s?
They sure did. That’s one of the biggest improvements on the 4th gen. Much smoother 8-speed automatic. I felt every shift on the 3rd gen and 4th you have to really pay attention to feel it.
50k 2020 TRD PRO. Every option Toyota offers plus some lame dealer add ons. Still worth 50k.
Paying dealer markup is why the dealers will continue to charge consumers for it. There are plenty of dealers who aren’t adding markups out there. Send business their way and stop the chain even if you to wait…RUclips can wait!

Yea they had a couple sports a couple sr5s but only one trd off road and it was a base model as well but 60k is crazy

No, it’s just an agricultural inspection. They also use it to check people around Independence Day to make sure nobody is bringing back illegal fireworks also.
how was the MPG on the drive back to California??
By the time I got home, my average was 18.6 MPG. That’s mainly highway, no traffic. I was mostly traveling 70 mph, give or take. The truck already had 23 test drive miles on it when I picked it up. That should be a small factor in that. Not sure how they drove it.

No mark up here. Just got mine for sticker price from Longo yesterday. 49,974 plus tax. No one should ever pay mark ups.

There’s no concern for the engine here. I’ll do a follow up video on the truck and performance so people can understand it. Just because it’s smaller displacement with a turbo doesn’t mean it’s short of anything. It’ll outperform the 3.5L V6 in many aspects. Don’t knock it til you try it!

What lift did you put in temp?
A custom CNC preload spacer we had machined for another truck. Luckily, it measured out the same spec so we used it.
What are the gearing of the new 4th gen?
3.583 (A/T) & 4.300 (M/T)
