I was very excited to watch this build video. Finally a new Taco build!! However....... it's too bad people devote so much of their time and money into bolt on products vs spending the cash into good suspension + gearing.
Sure, it looks good sitting there, but why do a one inch block/ spacer in the rear and a two inch spacer in the front (which adds almost 2.5 -3 inches of lift with the geo of an IFS..) it might be level but add any weight and your nose is pointing at the sky. Also, anytime a spacer kit is added it is considerably stiffer then stock but yes you can clear those 35 inch tires sucking your fuel mileage. Those bigger tire might come in handy that 5% of the time you actually use the truck to wheel. I still get a kick at around 12:50 the technician said this is for optomum performance. Sounds like a line from a salesman at a dealership selling kia's to grandmas.
Love the look of the new truck. I am excited to see how the new engine holds up in the first few years with the entire line up. Although with this build.... and speaking from as a red seal mechanic....more force being applied to a stock parts like the control arms, shocks, driveline, I anticipate accelerated wear and high tranny temps but very cable driving to work and back.
I get most of the parts are most likely supplied and this might serve as a promotional video, but in my opinion I would tell others to spend the money into performance vs aesthetics.
Thanks guys, look forward to the next build.

I really appreciate your take on this, I’ll say for this build specifically the owner wanted to keep the stock suspension of the 4th gen since it is pretty nice as it stands. Also due to the 4th gen just now being released there still isn’t any aftermarket suspensions for them (as of the time of recording) since those usually have to go through some testing phases. We’re looking forward to more parts coming out for the 4th gen that we can showcase to you guys 🤙
