Good info. Although just by looking at the aftermarket wheels offset is just one side of the equation, one would also need to check the factory wheel offset, it’s the delta that is the key information to tell how much the wheel is being pushed outwards.
We understand that different trims have varying offsets, the TRD Sport (as seen in this video) has a 60mm offset, TRD Pro has a 25mm. Depending on the trim, this will change the distance in which the tire is being pushed out. We will know more as we get our hands on them!
Great video. This type of attention to detail is why I went with Icons and probabaly always will. The 35x11.5 I have seen pop up recently. Was thinking of trying some out on my 15 f150. Thoughts? Its leveled 2.7" roughly with control arms, 17" Rebounds with +6mm offset per Icons recommendation.
Why not try +35 offset? Might be even better then +25. Most people do light offroading and won't be fully compressed like this so the +25 with 35s will work and clear no rubbing or cutting. I'm running this no issues
Great content and helpful! Question….on 17x8.5 with 0 offset and 265/70-75/17…with this work with stock suspension? Also don’t plan on off-roading really.
I apologize if this was mentioned in the video as i may have missed it, but is this test being performed on stock ride height or is this lifted? If it's stock, would a small lift change anything regarding tire size fitment? Great video by the way. Thanks!
Thanks for the informative demo. One thing imo, we may need to pay additional attention to those reeeeeally tight clearance taking into account doing AirDown for offroad😉
Thanks for the excellent video! I’ve been waiting for this! The referenced tire size cannot be “ideal” as the iForce Max Tacomas cannot fit a 17” wheel. Unless, I’m mistaken?
Super silly question from a new to topic person, but is this a non lifted TRD Sport? Curious if 17 inch wheels will fit even though stock is 18 on trd sport. Thanks for any help!
Great video!! Can you tell me what offset will allow me to get 285/70/17 right to the edge of the fender flare with little to no poke. It's hard to tell in your video, but it looks like the 25mm offset will achieve this. or would 35mm offset be better?
Since this is at full compression, fitment should otherwise be more generous, correct? I’m wondering about 35s if only going to full compression occasionally. Thanks again for the video! This is by far the best one on the topic so far!
Tons of good info! Kinda disappointed that you guys didn't show a 33 on a zero offset. Some of us guys don't want to go 35 and are perfectly fine with a 33 but want that small amount of poke.
3rd Gen Tacoma we recommend the same tire (33x11.50) but with a 0mm offset. We recommend a (+) 25mm offset for the 2024 platform to achieve best performance.
I'm new to owning a Tacoma or dealing with tires. My question is that for the first set of tires/wheels you demonstrated do I need to do a lift or anything else?
great video thanks! Does the custom suspension work you did affect scenario #1? or do you think a +25mm offset with 285/70/17's work up front with stock suspension in the 24' OF? I realize you did this on a TRD Sport, which comes with 18" wheels...
Awesome, awesome video. I'm looking at a '25 4Runner Trailhunter. I will never have the suspension compressed fully (not even close, most likely). Would you recommend the 35x11.50R117LT for that if I am wanting a wider-diameter tire, in general? Thank you!
I dont see where it necessarily points this out, this is stock suspensio, correct? No lift of any kind? I have a trd off road and want to run basically the first set up but with the titanium rebound. I am getting everywhere I go telling me I need a lift. I dont want to lift it.
Ive heard that the recommended fitment specs for wheel offset & tire sizes are exactly the same for the 24 Land Cruiser... Do you have any experience with the new LC to confirm? Thanks!
I would wonder how this would work with the 255/85/r17 (34.5/10/r17) Baja Boss A/T's would fit. I would hazard a guess that it might even require no trimming or very minimal trimming to the front since the 35/11.5/r17 with +25 offset cleared the back. Also not sure if you mentioned, what ride height over factory suspension is being run in this video?
just bought a brand new 2023 sr5 4x4 tacoma. it has 245 75/r16 firestone destination le2 with the dark rim. i find the truck sitting lower than i like.used to the 1500 ram i traded in.i find i have to tilt my head to get into the tacoma also not crazy about the dark rims.would like to switch the rims to a crome color and put on tires that will raise the truck without having to install a lift kit ....any suggestions ?
@@canadoescalling1800 You are correct, at least 60mm for the TRD Sport and Offroad, we're to believe that Pro is 25mm. Still waiting to get our hands on more trims.
I tried calling your line for 2 days... both sales cause I wanted to buy shocks and your technical support line ... I am not an owner of your products yet but based on the fact that I can neither get a hold of sales or tech support to answer questions... I can only imagine the issues trying to contact your company in case anything wrong happens to the shocks... Maybe ill go with Kings or something that may have better support...
The lead engineer has stated they have to build the wheel well as it comes stock. Per some rules and regulations. But knows people are going to trim the wheel well in order to put bigger tires. Along with a lift kit.
Finally, it makes me cringe when people say "Yeah I put in 35s and no rubs even on full lock" on any truck. Yeah bud it doesn't rub YET since the suspension isn't even compressed lol.
There's the part where he says his Icon control arms move the wheel forward. So yeah, it would rub in the front. There's also the part where he didn't remove the bracket in the back because of reasons. There is not the part where the OEM wheel is +55. So yeah, the story remains to be told.
I'm really surprised that these folks are doing 33" to 37" with no gearing change. 33's to 37's with no gear change and you have a gutless wonder with lousy gas mileage. Makes a good Mall Crawler though.
Best video out there showing how 35s fit the new G4 Tacos. Thanks 👍🏻
Best video on the subject so far! Thank you for the explanation! 🙌
👊
Tons of great info in this video! It’s going to answer a lot of questions for people. Excited to start modifying!

Awesome job showing what works , good info for sure!
Stay tuned for Part II. Going to try some other sizes.
great video, you covered 33 and 35inch tires, but what about a 34? not as common, but would they work with 25mm offset?
We'll probably try a part 2 with more sizes. 34s are on that list.

Would be really interesting to see a 34x10.5 on a 25 or 0 mm wheel. Toyo and bfg comes in that size.
Added to the list. Need to hunt down more tires!
This is very good info. Now, if I used a 20” wheel with 0 offset and 275/70/R20, should I expect rubbing?
Great content and helpful! Question….on 17x8.5 with 0 offset and 265/70-75/17…with this work with stock suspension?
Also don’t plan on off-roading really.
Would be cool to see a 35 on the stock offroad wheels with fitment since its a +60 and if it can clear the UCA????
Great video to guide people into making an informed decision.
Hope to offer up some additional size comparisons soon!
I apologize if this was mentioned in the video as i may have missed it, but is this test being performed on stock ride height or is this lifted? If it's stock, would a small lift change anything regarding tire size fitment? Great video by the way. Thanks!
We removed the shock completely and jacked it up to full bump to show how the wheel/tire cycled by size.
Thanks for the informative demo.
One thing imo, we may need to pay additional attention to those reeeeeally tight clearance taking into account doing AirDown for offroad😉
Valuable information about offset and other factors that can affect performance.
Thanks for the excellent video! I’ve been waiting for this! The referenced tire size cannot be “ideal” as the iForce Max Tacomas cannot fit a 17” wheel. Unless, I’m mistaken?

Which icon lift kit is this on your website ? Part # Thank you .
A very comprehensive review. It will save buyers time and money when selecting aftermarket wheels and tires for their Tacoma.

The 25mm offset is the best for a somewhat flush fit.
Since this is at full compression, fitment should otherwise be more generous, correct? I’m wondering about 35s if only going to full compression occasionally. Thanks again for the video! This is by far the best one on the topic so far!
Going to full compression just once is enough to damage if you don't have the clearance. Still have to trim for 35's.
Great video. Maybe a similar conversation around the spare tire fit? Unless your mall crawling, a spare the same size is a must have.
How is the tire clearance on the UCAs with +25 and 35sx12.5? Any rub?
Addressed in Combo 3 - Min 5:05 !
Tons of good info! Kinda disappointed that you guys didn't show a 33 on a zero offset. Some of us guys don't want to go 35 and are perfectly fine with a 33 but want that small amount of poke.
We're hunting down more sizes!
+35 offset
Thank you l, the first set is exactly what I want it.
I have a 2023 tacoma, will this setup work on my truck? also is that a plus or minus 25mm offset?
3rd Gen Tacoma we recommend the same tire (33x11.50) but with a 0mm offset. We recommend a (+) 25mm offset for the 2024 platform to achieve best performance.
I'm new to owning a Tacoma or dealing with tires. My question is that for the first set of tires/wheels you demonstrated do I need to do a lift or anything else?
No...my understanding is that with 2024 TACOMA
you would need a lift for 35s and 37....
first set doesn't touch on full compression, as they mentioned and demonstrated in this video, so what do you think?
Great breakdown and visual examples
great video thanks! Does the custom suspension work you did affect scenario #1? or do you think a +25mm offset with 285/70/17's work up front with stock suspension in the 24' OF? I realize you did this on a TRD Sport, which comes with 18" wheels...
Thanks for sharing this information and I love the color of that Taco Bell
Appreciate the nice comment!

Any idea if the offset is the same for the off-road vs the sport? Would the 25mm be best for the off road as well to have minimal poke?
will the method 703 35mm offset fit with that first wildpeak a/t?
Ive heard that the recommended fitment specs for wheel offset & tire sizes are exactly the same for the 24 Land Cruiser... Do you have any experience with the new LC to confirm? Thanks!
Awesome information. Please do a similar video for the new Ford Ranger Raptor when you get a chance.
Could you please make the same type of video but with 18R? Thanks
Will a 35mm offset make much of a difference?
Fabulous job ICON 👍
Thanks!
@@iconvehicledynamicstv you are welcome
So we’re stuck with the same small 285’s. Well at least the 285’s will fit without trimming or cab mount chops.
👍
What color are the Recon SLX at the end of the video?
I would wonder how this would work with the 255/85/r17 (34.5/10/r17) Baja Boss A/T's would fit. I would hazard a guess that it might even require no trimming or very minimal trimming to the front since the 35/11.5/r17 with +25 offset cleared the back. Please do the same video for the new tundras!
Just might!
Will the 285/70/17 fit in the stock spare tire location?
Would have been a good test... sadly we didn't do this.
Hi, will your 17x8.5 +25mm will have the same sit of a 17X8 +15 off set?
just bought a brand new 2023 sr5 4x4 tacoma. it has 245 75/r16 firestone destination le2 with the dark rim. i find the truck sitting lower than i like.used to the 1500 ram i traded in.i find i have to tilt my head to get into the tacoma also not crazy about the dark rims.would like to switch the rims to a crome color and put on tires that will raise the truck without having to install a lift kit ....any suggestions ?
Does the first one fit with the stock height
Is the factory offset 25 or higher? Really like that 11.5 width.
25 mm. Can't deny that 35x11.50 Nitto... looks pretty sharp.
@@iconvehicledynamicstv I read factory Tacoma offset is now 60mm, same as new Tundra..but you are 100% that factory offset in 2024 is 25mm?

Would 285/75/17 fit with no rubbing pls
Did you even watch the video? you want everything to be spoon fed to you?
Do you think 265/66R18 would fit on a trd sport
what the smallest rim size you can fit on?
Can you do this for the Canyon or Colorado?
Can a 285/70/R17 fit with a stock offset?
How about the 3rd gen?
Super helpful!
What about just city driving with 35s
Great Video
How about a 33 / 12.5/17 with that 25mm rim?
Well done
Id be curious to know if with a 1.5" lift in the front (level)if a 285/70r17 would fit on a 0mm offset without rubbing
Should be fine, we might do another size test for video with some more options!
Is this truck ona lift?
Let’s be honest, we all cut the cab mount out before… kinda great we can just unbolt it now.
Not an untruth, but we still don't recommend it. 🏴☠
anyone know what the factory offset is for the all new 2024 Tacoma SR5 and SR 4 X 4
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma SR5 has a factory offset of +56.
im looking to do a 285/55/20 on my 2024 TRD Pro. i shouldnt have any fitment issues right? has a -25 offset
Actually either a 18mm offset or 00 offset
I’m sorry I’m looking to do a 18 offset or 00 offset on a 285/55/R20 do you think I’d have any issues?
What about a 0 offset 33?
I have 2957018 fit on my 2024 tacoma o no?
I would say a +35mm offset would be the ideal for best fitment on these new toyotas with 35s or 37s. +25 is still too aggressive.
This video should make the point that this video does not apply to TRD Pro and likely the trailhunter.
Looks funny when compressed, why don't they make the wheel arches round lol
How do you guys not even have a single Bronco video on your channel wth.
Here's our suspension overview video for Bronco: ruclips.net/video/cSJHwmsFfJY/видео.htmlsi=u2Obe_QobQX5ppxM
Would a 16” wheel fit the new taco
If you got a 2wd rear leaf spring base model possibly as they have smaller brake components but anything else is going to require 17” or larger.

Biger tire suspention you wear out fast and more gas
33's are good enouph thats my opinion 33's and a zero offset thers no rubbing
Doesn't do you any good rollin without bump stops.

you didnt do any wheels that are running 285/70/17 with different offsets...0....-10.......+15 etc
I will never be a 🌮
I'm more like a burrito myself. 🌯
I don’t understand the fascination with running 35s on baby trucks. Want to run 35s then get a real truck.
33 homie
Can you show a 33 with the 25 mm offset?
Great video.
