i really miss being able to buy dunks for cheap, the dunk mid was my favorite skate shoe back in 2010-2013. I recently returned to skating and found dunks have been botted to death, so I just buy replicas and they skate just the same, with the functional zoom units

I’m not one to keep shoes after I skate them, but I have kept these white blazers with the gum bottom (Nike iso orange label ones) only because I thought they were the most comfortable, most stylish shoe ever. Oh, and there’s this clip of lance in them skating the tootsie roll curbs… straight magic.
I'd love a tutorial on how Ben does frontside flips. I saw that he's influenced by Mike Carroll & it's funny bc I liked his f/s flips too. They look so in control.
@@Sentientwolf34 the rubber toe on the marianas is cool, but check out the tyshawn outsole its the most durable out right now. ill blow a hole through a rubber outsole doing treflips before i actually blow holes in the toe caps. and the tyshawns toe caps have two layers of suede and i think a rubber layer underneath as well.
This. The main shoes in my rotation are Emerica (Spanky G6, Wino Slip On, Dickson, etc.), Vans Skate Sk8-Hi or Skate Half Cab, SB Blazer Mids, and Tyshawn Mids. I love the Etnies Marana, but understand it’s a bit too thick for some skaters. Pre-Michelin, the soles would last 6 to 8 weeks tops with holes and delamination. Uppers lasted me 2.5 months, but I went through the rubber toe, suede, plastic beneath, and 1-2 layers of canvas.
Dude yes the tyshawns are amazing. I’ve skated no joke about 4 different pairs and all of them have held up super well. the shoes lasted and the flick was great. Just had some issues with laces ripping. Haven’t tried the lows out yet but the tyshawn mids are so worth it. They are better than blazer mids IMO
back in 2009-ish while in Cairo Egypt the nike SB germany team came over for a little skate tour. i got to hang out with them everyday and skate with them. was a really fun crew. Lenny Burmeister had these blazers in a blue suede and a checkered back and he gave them to me as a gift. i skated the hell out of those and they were my all time favourite skate shoes but sadly was my only pair because we couldn't buy them in egypt. I since then took a looong break from skating and didn't really think about them much until this week when i started getting back into skating again seriously and i went to the skae shop to try them out and they felt just as good as those ones from 2009. best shoes ever.
Blazers are definitely one of the best vulc shoes out there. I enjoyed the Adidas Superstar ADV as well. I mainly like cupsole shoes, but both the blazer and superstar are amazing shoes. Dunks, Air force 2's, and even lakai telfords are awesome cupsole shoes
The best shoe I ever had was Globe's Chet Tomson shoe. Not only was the shoe incredibly supportive and comfortable, it didn't wear out from kick flips ect. Plus, and this was a huge one for me, it protected the laces by the shoe's tongue. I would go through shoe laces like crazy.
Mr Degros. As happy for you as I am that you're cured of your truck madness I was wondering if you'd approach the topic of risers on lower truck like Thunders &/or Ventures. In my experiance the already short tail feels shorter leading to a higher likelihood of ghost pop. Maybe it's just me.....

Im an older guy who skates transition and I also love these shoes. Im just the opposite though. The mids are my favorite because they do feel more secure and the lows are my second favorite. Im on my second pair of mid and I have a pair of lows I alternate with. The shoes feel great and last forever.
It's such a shame that shoe design has been getting worse in skating. I'd love to skate Kostons first Nike shoe forever but I just default to Blazers now because they're always readily available in nice colours, durable and easy to get
I purchased some of the first addidas busenitz skate shoes about 9ish years ago. Got the 1st and 2nd generation of the busenitz. 1st had such a comfy insole and the 2nd had a much better insole for high impact slightly less comfy but better than the 1st. I purchased the busentiz shoe again last year on chirstmas and its a whole diffrent shoe. It looks the same but the insole was a pancake such a generic cheap one i had to buy a dr sholles insole for it. I did pay dramaticly less but I dont know why theyd advertise a shoe as a skateshoe that sucks.
I'm not skating them at the moment but I've had 3 pairs there honestly the most well rounded best shoe I've skated I just like trying new things and styles but they are honestly the best
One Love skateshop By Metrotown skatepark is going to be building an indoor park in surrey. They are looking for help from people who can build ramps and stuff.
They run hot for sure. I am skating them right now too. I bought them last year and never liked them, starting skating them last week again. After breaking them in they are amazing.

If you like these I'd also reccomend the same shoe but the premium version, they are a little ''softer'' and have even better board feel and flick, are also a tiny but more durable, but they are hotter; so they are great in a little bit colder weathers
It might be because they’re too narrow/your feet may be wide. Try unlacing them all the way and relacing them while your foot is inside that way you know how much slack to give.

Nike does know how to glue and vulcanize shoes, Vans unfortunately does not. 🤷🏻 I can tell you why you don't get holes in the side of the shoe, because you scoop the ollie's the exact same way I do, with the very front of your shoe.
I can tell you one thing, the 8.45 is amazing, the 9.13 is way too big. I have both I use the 9.13 to decorate my wall, and the 8.45 is my main trick-board.

Idk about anyone else, but i like seeing someone skating a shoe before i buy it whether in person or in a video. Especially if theyre as good as ben. I just ordered the white mids with the green swoosh so i can start to skate my grey and white ones with the dark purple swoosh. I was thinking about how Ben is more well known than Ted, at least in the states. Due to the time period where we didn't have,nRUclips we didn't have access to any footage a skater ever dropped. After mosaic i never saw any Ted Footage. But it made me wonder how many guys like Ted could have possibly had a better career with RUclips and social media.

Favorite shoe to this day was the Kyle walker vans but DAMNN IT THEY WERE SUCH A WEAKASS SHOE everytime i would do a trick I could feel the wear and tear by the flip i ended up with a puppet shoe in the end that’s how bad they were I got some blazers a few months ago still haven’t skated them because my pesky new balances got it the way and stole my heart as they are now my dailies and still holding strong heheh hopefully soon I’ll skate my low blazers
Great review Ben. I wore out my last 3 pairs of Nike chargers real quick. Compared to adidas campus and superstars. So you can understand why I’m abit hesitant with Nike haha there soul just wears out faster then adidas

Tyshawns are fire and so are the Busenitz. Every time I got xtra doe I buy a pair to hoard so I can bust out a fresh pair years from now.

The Blazer low pro GTs been my favorite. If you like the regular lows, I think you’ll love the pro GTs.

I'm 33 and have skated every brand of shoes out there. I agree with everything Ben said. These are my favorite skates shoes of all time.

If you haven’t tried the Bruin, I recommend it. Skates similar, it’s discounted. I’ve had mine for about a month now and nowhere near its end.

As for price, You bought the blazer premium colourway (not sure why those are 145) but the normal colour-ways of sb mids are about $35 cheaper.

Favorite shoe to this day was the Kyle walker vans but DAMNN IT THEY WERE SUCH A WEAKASS SHOE everytime i would do a trick I could feel the wear and tear by the flip i ended up with a puppet shoe in the end that’s how bad they were I got some blazers a few months ago still haven’t skated them because my pesky new balances got it the way and stole my heart as they are now my dailies and still holding strong heheh hopefully soon I’ll skate my low blazers

Great review Ben. I wore out my last 3 pairs of Nike chargers real quick. Compared to adidas campus and superstars. So you can understand why I’m abit hesitant with Nike haha there soul just wears out faster then adidas
