    Awesome results Joel, you are the master. I have this camera myself and love using it, I also own the Canon 5Ds which is mind blowing with its detail too but i just love using the EOS R.

    Great portrait and technique Joel. I certainly can't see any errors where the images have been merged. That print looks stunning too.

    Very cool idea! And the end result is absolutely fantastic. I love it! This kind of reminds me of the Brenizer method. Slightly different, but a similar result without needed the tilt shift lens.

    Can someone tell me what are the various back ground textures that he is using. I see “glass plate”. Pretty much impossible to follow even at 0.25 speed. Thanks.

    Thanks for sharing this clever tip. I've done this with landscapes but rarely have a model with the muscle memory to hold the exact position long enough to get the 3 exposures. She did a great job (and I love her unique look). I agree the R does make working with TSE lenses much simpler than with a traditional DSLR. There are many overlooked benefits to this camera that hybrid photographers would use if they just spend some time with it, but I have to admit the thing is still quite buggy. The latest firmware update was an improvement but it still needs more fixes.

      Dear Matt, i'm an architectural ph using ts lenses and i need to switch or to 5d iv or to Eos R. what are the benefits you say with Eos R? thank you very much!

      Basically you can do this with an apsc camera also, but needs much more pictures

  • @dzsemx

    If there will be a 35-40mm F1 fullframe lens, you would get about the same DOF in a single shot.

    You could did it with a Canon 5dsr?

    • @videojeroki
      @videojeroki 5 лет назад +4

      Yes he could use any other camera, but if you listen carefully, he explained that using the manual AF lens on EOS R you benefit from the focus assistance.

    • @ironian24
      @ironian24 5 лет назад +3

      @@videojeroki could not agree more hence why i love my EOS R too.
      it seems to me that people hate this camera for no good reasons at all, perhaps they cannot take a picture and go by spec sheets alone, I prefer to use my EOS R for what it is intended for, photography!

    • @lucuslopez6866
      @lucuslopez6866 5 лет назад +1

      They want to make it look like only the eos r can do this shot. Sell more cameras. Duh? You don't need focus assist to do this shot. You don't even need to tilt shift to do this. You could've used a regular 50 or 85 hand held for something this simple with full auto focus.

    • @ironian24
      @ironian24 5 лет назад

      @@lucuslopez6866 the canon TS-E tilt shift lenses do not have an auto focus. They are a specialised lens designed to help architects get there lines straight, verticals and horizons.
      So this is clearly where if you know your photography focus Assist works very well and is a welcome addition to photographers who own such a lens or 2 like myself for example. I run through this with landscape photography in my channel with the EOS-R and the TS-E 17mm tilt shift.
      I know you can zoom in and see what's sharp and what is not but it does help especially when you leave your reading glasses behind which I have a few times now.

    • @lucuslopez6866
      @lucuslopez6866 5 лет назад

      @@ironian24 I'm aware it doesnt have af on the tilt shift, thats why I said 50 or 85 (not referring to the tilt shift lens).
      I think the focus assist is nice to have. I welcome any added function that can help with manual focus. I'm just saying in the vid they make it sound like the shot he was doing requires that exact setup and before this setup existed it was super difficult to do it without focus assist. The fact is its not that difficult with a camera without focus assist to do this shot. Its not even a complicated shot to do handheld with an auto-focus lens.
      I've tried the focus assist before in store. It was ok. I've tried focus peaking on other mirrorless cameras before too. If I was shooting a building or architecture I much rather zoom in and manually focus. I just find that more accurate.

    This will work even better if you mount the lens instead of the camera to the tripod ;)

    • @eliasalerno8942
      @eliasalerno8942 5 лет назад +1

      No, then he could not change the the perspective

    • @simeonkolev1231
      @simeonkolev1231 5 лет назад +1

      @@eliasalerno8942 yes he can but he will move the camera instead of the lens. And that will save the perspective better.
      TS lenses are actually medium format lenses, they have bigger image circle than other 35mm lenses. If you move the lens it is like making panorama without nodal point head tripod. If you mount the lens to the tripod and you move the camera it can be combined in photoshop without any algorithms you just have to place the shots one over the other and they will match perfectly.

    FUNNY CANON BETTER RELEASE A HIGHER MEGAPIXEL CAMERA, PEOPLE MOVES

    • @videojeroki
      @videojeroki 5 лет назад

      Higher megapixel count will give you bigger print possibilities. that's it.
      People unless you ask them and pay them to not move. She is a model, she knows her job.
      What is your point ? You want to take the same picture with only 1 shot? well you cannot. you get a similare image but with more distortion and a bigger DOF. Just watch the video again, and listen.

      Felipe Henao like what Joel had said in the video. No lens will produce the exact same DOF and angle of view in a single shot. Because you have to shoot much much further away with a Tele it will greatly increase the DOF on the subject. Learn. ; )

    Not at all user friendly. 😔
    Everything must be completely still to work and even the smallest movement on the stand destroys the picture. So this was no good advertisement for anything. ..not even a look at how the joints between the pictures became.
    So a big thumb down from me.👎
