    Ricky Williams was the best running backs in a Miami Dolphins uniform. He was absolutely a monster.

    The most underrated running back he was better than most

    • @haroldfarquad6886
      @haroldfarquad6886 2 года назад +1

      For sure very underrated, but the longer I peruse the internet, I think Earl Campbell was the most underrated. Earl had a short career from being overused, but at his best, he was a top 3 all time back. For different reasons, Ricky fits the same narrative. I'd put Ricky in my top 5 all time backs.

      Yes, they had the same running style very physical earl Campbell ended up in bad shape but both don't get the recognition they deserve

      So true! I swear he is also the reason that visors became so popular for some players!

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 4 года назад +2

      @Moonie Bell no man it is kind of true. He wasn’t THE reason, but he was for a lot of backs. A visor and dreads bro. Ricky was very very very popular with a lot of kids growing up when he was at Texas and then peaking in 2002 with maimi. All over the cover of magazines and they talked about his dreads and the visor all the time

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 4 года назад +1

      @Moonie Bell yo moonie, I hear ya. Appreciate your position on it. What I just sent you is a post from Ryan Smith of PFF pro football focus basically saying exactly what I said. Ricky Williams made visors cool. He made them popular.
      Not only do I know that they were around before Ricky, but I literally remember paying attention every year to see if Barry was wearing one or not when I woudl go back and see his film, same with Dickerson. Same with others. But Ricky made it COOL he made it POPULAR! I know there is no way for me to prove this unless I dive into the numenrs and somehow find a way to actually get the data on how many players/backs wore visors before Ricky and how many wore them after him. But from my memory? As a kid who was like weirdly obsessed with the way players and their uniforms LOOKED( I started drawing at age 2/3 and went to college for it so I think I’ve just always been super focused on the visuals) I distinctly remember seeing Ricky come in with his dark visor and the story behind it( anxiety) and then a few years after his 2002 super popular year, not only did we see dreads grow in popularity amongst all players but visors were EVERYWHERE.
      Because I don’t want to be right, I just want to know the truth, I’m going to go do a search on RBs prior to Ricky and see how many wore RBs, and then check how many wore them after...gimme a little time

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 4 года назад

      @Moonie Bell ok just literally my first search again and I found an article from the Seahawks? Lol. It’s from 2016 and it’s about how so many of their players were wearing the dark visor that year. The article starts by mentioning how “Ricky Williams made the dark visor famous with his play on the field and in interviews”
      Come on!! I have a feeling I’m going to find like 10,000 people saying this exact same thing sir. But yeah. Gotta do the research

    To all future running backs watching this mutant of a running back play notice the superb patience once the ball is handed to him to wait until the O-line opens a hole for him to ram through.

    • @mikedoss9777
      @mikedoss9777 4 года назад +1

      Ezekiel Israel I disagree. They played different positions. Alstott was mostly a blocking back. He had more than 1000 fewer carries than Williams and scored only 8 fewer touchdowns. Alstott didn’t have Williams speed but as far as power I have to say he was better. Not to mention the 6probowls,3 All-Pros and a Superbowl Ring he won.
