Nice video! I got two questions. How long do you think you’re going to keep the mini braids you have in now since they’re much smaller and how long will you wait to re-braid them if you would?
Hi Pimple Lover, those are really good questions! I've already had my current mini braids in now for 6 months, my goal is to go a year in the mini braids I have in now to retain the most growth/length. I usually re-braid my hair every 2 months.
How often do you deep conditioner? I’m trying to deep condition twice a week is that too much or should I prepoo with an oil then deep condition once a week.
I usually deep condition once every two weeks. The reason being is from what I researched, deep conditioning is used to revitalize your hair with moisture and too much could lead to your hair being over moisturized which causes a lot of issues. Throughout the week (every 3 or 4 days) I just spray my hair with water and seal it in with an oil.
I love your content, I’m in mini braids journey. I’m looking for ideas on how to handle my hair.
My mini braids last longer with blow dried hair. I use the Revair blow dryer
I tried blowing my hair out before doing mini braids for the first time recently. I agree, definitely a game changer👍
