Your takedown method is genius! I never thought of that. I’m currently wearing mini braids; I do 2 month intervals and then wear my hair in puffs or Afro. Im trying to grow my hair with no weave and you are the representation I needed. Long hair is definitely possible in our ethnicity, modern conditioning has simply stunted us.
I usually don't comment on videos, in fact this is my first time. I just wanted to say thank you. I am so grateful that you keep sharing your journey with us. Finally someone with my hair type! This is so exciting. You had me at "combs aren't for me and they're never gonna be for me" 🤣 I feel the exact same way. I went two years without combing and gained some serious length. Then I decided to follow other RUclipsrs and start using combs, I changed my products based on recommendations and generally neglected my hair and here we are today. But thank God for channels like yours, I'm re-learning a lot and I've already made progress over the past 4 months. Bless you!
Hey LinlyBanda-gi2wr! Thank you so much for watching my videos! I feel so honored that I'm the 1st person whose video you chose to comment on! Yes, I was really hellbent on trying to make combs work for me about half a decade back and one day I just had this realization that combs just will never cut it with my hair loll! It's hard out here for a natural, people are always telling you different things out here and it causes for people to have to sift through all the information to figure things out unfortunately, it was the same for me as well. I will do my best to continue to share things that I discover that could make the journey easier for others. I'm so glad that you've been making progress over the past 4 months! God bless you as well! :)
Looks great! 🙌🏾😁 Nice to see it’s got thicker too 👍🏾 May The Most High continue to grow your crowning glory and keep you covered 🙏🏾 All praises to The Most High 👑
Loveeeeee 😍 I tried mini braids for this challenge and I loved ittttt - hated take down though I have to forget how annoying take down was before I do it again bc my arms were hurtingggg but I did retain length so thank you so much 😊
@@EtherielleHB I ended up putting them right back in. I told my husband I'm so use to the braids I don't even wanna wear the fro. Imma start my 3 months now again. 2 months I still had lots of growth
Truth! I have 4c hair and combs arent meant for me! Ever since I throw out all my combs and I've been wearing mini braids and been using my fingers only my hair is thicker and stronger! And a hair care routine my hair is thriving!
I accidentally started my mini braid journey yesterday!😂❤ How long did it take you to reach your current length? You mentioned 9 months of struggling with your natural hair in a different video , do you have pictures of your hair throughout your journey? Do the women in your family have hair like yours? It’s all so inspirational! Thank you for sharing.
It’s like the algo read this comment and then put your very first video in my homepage. It answered almost all the ??s above. Buuutt would still love to see pics 😍 and I’m still wondering if you come from a family of tailbone lengthed goddesses…the genetics question is always a popular one I’m sure…
Hi Theexperimentersstudio, It took me 12 years. The first 9 years I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but during the last 3 years I figured it out. Yes I do, I'm planning on putting a natural hair journey video out soon as well showing the progression throughout the years from start to finish. No my family doesn't have any women with super long hair or anything. The only woman who's hair was slightly past her shoulders was my grandmother I believe.
Hey lilgeefrmdav3135, I'm going to be posting a lot more soon, structuring content is a skill that some are blessed with being able to do and keep up with naturally and one that others sometimes have to hone to get to that level of frequency. I'm unfortunately the latter at the moment, but not for long!
No, I usually wear my braids for 12 months at a time, 6 months being the shortest time I keep them in for, this was solely for the mini braid challenge

I wear them under wigs but I think the next time I do them I’ll do them smaller and add a little braiding hair
Congratulations, girl! You're an inspiration for all the 4C wanting to grow long hair beyond our wildest dreams!
BelAge thank you so much!!❤

Taking down twists with V05 coconut 🥥 conditioner from the 💲dollar store is supreme and makes the process easier and quicker!
Aww it’s cute that you have a name for your hair!

Thank you!! Yesss the takedown is no joke!! 😭😭😂I'm so glad you retained length! Happy to help!!
Long beautiful hair great job thumbs up god bless
Wow, beautiful hair sis, keep growing it & keep sharing us the hair tips, ur appreciated❤
Thank you so much, I will!! ^^❤
jumped on to late still going your hair is gorgeous. I have another month.
Thank you!!!:) Keep going, you got this!!!✊
I think at this length, large two strand twists would be good. Easy to take down and easy to transition into a twist out style
Currently taking mine down. Birthday Wednesday so I only made it to 2 months. I'll be taking these out until tomorrow 😩
Happy early B-day!! 🎊🎂It's great you made it to 2!! Way to go!!

I'm actually trying to grow my hair thicker especially at the front, do you think mini braids would help me?
Wow amazing hair: do you rebraid after how long?
I rebraid every 2 months
For how long av u have u been doing mini braids
Look at her channel, the video where she starts her mini braids journey was 4 years ago
4 years

Started this challenge with you but think I might go to 5 months
I’m dreading the take down
loll I feel you, as long as you're taking care of it until then, you have nothing to worry about, more retained length for you! ^^
Congratulations
Thank you! ^^
How often do you wash your hair?
In mini braids, it's weekly for me. First week is a light wash, second week is when I use shampoo
We miss you when are u gonna post about since you loose out your hair 😮😮

Same I’m confused 😅
@@k.5425 she re-does them (one by one) every two months BUT removes them ALL at once after a year

It’s been a year since you’ve had the braids in congrats 😊😊😊
Thank you!
