Nice and Fun build dear Miyconst! Finally some love for mAtx form factor! The only concern i have to say it's about the power consumption of that xeon E5 2667 v4, 135w are quite a lot for that kind of performance. Since that cpu is based on broadwell xeons, ipc and frequency are not that far from the first/second gen zen/zen+ that are getting cheaper(finally!), so i would stick with some older ryzen for this kind of project. But anyway, you did a great job and your build is well made!
Great video, thank you for sharing - I would also suggest using Jonsbo C6 case for the next mini PC project. I plan to use this exact case for my QNCT / A$Rock H310CM build - we shall see how it will go... Anyways keep up a good work, I am always waiting for your content.
Being the 1st gen on 14 nm cpus from intel, these Broadwell chips were more efficient than the previous generation but they are a far cry from what came after them in thermal efficiency. Usually you have to sacrifice something for a small form factor pc and combining a gaming gpu with a high end workstation cpu was always going to be difficult to cool. While the 4060 was probably the best choice overall it was never going to be easy to cool, either. I swear, small form factor pcs are cool for client stations but kind of lame for performance. In most cases I'd rather have a larger pc that's quieter and, going even further in that direction, I'm super compelled by extra-large pcs that cool really well(and quietly). I'm not sure if you ever saw that case that LTT had checked out that worked entirely without fans, it was honestly almost built out of huge aluminum slabs-style heatsinks. To me the real dream is the desk pc, a pc built into your desk itself. Done right you should have all the space in the world for cooling. Maybe it would be fun to make another pc out of the exact same CPU, MB and GPU to see how much easier it is too cool the thing. =)
I did build a mini ITX pc with a Qiyida x99 MB and end it up pretty well. The key factor is the case as mine is one similar to a NR200 but much cheaper. I also used 2667 V4.
Love the idea of combining an X99 board with a 4060 LP! Two better ventilated slim M-ATX cases that I've seen on AliExpress and Taobao that might be worth a look are the BUG-c1 and the SKTC A10 (both need Flex-ATX PSUs though). Outside of these, the Silverstone Milo ML11 (TFX PSU) might also be an option.
I'm thinking about placing an E5-2667 V4 or better Xeon E5 1650 V4 next to the RTX A2000 @6GB in my itx Linux gaming build (also as compact as yours), currently the single core weak 2630V4 is still used. The mainboard is a MACHINIST X99-K9 and 4x8GB DDR4 ECC RAM, FSP FSP250-50FGBBI(M) 250W Flex-ATX, and cooler; Thermalright AXP120-X67 WHITE ARGB Low-Profile.
nice video, as always! I've just assembled a matx computer in one of the smallest case i've found on amazon, it is more like an itx form factor but it takes full height graphic cards... it is called "mars Gaming MC-1000" and it costs only 28 euros shipped... maybe try somenthing like that (it opens way more possibilities since it can take full matx boards...)
Anything you do is basically great Mr M! I think here though, and please take this as if we were having a beer. Maybe while its cheap - X99 might not be best choice for trying to sqeeze into a small (and in this case, bad) case :) X99 remains king of platforms that refuse to die :)
I totally agree with you. The "mini tax" is too high to justify the X99 savings. Yet, people would not stop bugging me with the idea so I delivered or at least tried to.

But also a x8 and another x16, with Bifurcation support. Different options for processor, W-2140B seems reasonable, but W-2135 is also good. PSU there is available an FSP 500w for Intel NUC Extreme. You have to add yourself the 5v power and make an extension lead for motherboard. It is Flex ATX size. Seller will accept offer of 30 USD for the power supply (can also find from China modified already to modular PSU)

Hello, I hope this comment finds you well, I want to make a side machine for server/vm purposes that's not too expensive, I have an x99 board lying around that is a killsre v205, I've gotten turbo unlock working on it since all v201 settings work on it, but afaik the vrm's are not really good for high core high clock cpu's, so I was wondering if a 2630 v3 would require good vrm's or not for the TU (since it has a relatively low power consumption and not many cores). Ive been debating a budget build between a v4 x99 and an x299 workstation for video editing, media server, and light gaming machine. With the graphics card being an RX6600 (already purchased), which platform would you recommend?
It is true and false at the same time. Older platforms that don't support Windows 11 are not compatible with some Anticheats software and it doesn't matter if the motherboard is Chinese or not.

@@Miyconst thanks again. I like a little gamble. I already have a main rig with more sensible parts. I just wanted to try my hand at one of these AliExpress builds. 2697A it will be then. Maybe flip the PC or give it to a relative.
Hello, I want to build a X99 system for multicore performances mostly. Is there any V3 or V4 cpus that can compete with an all core turbo E5 2696v3?
Not really, E5-2696 V3 with TBU is one of the best but if you need strong performance - go the AM4 route and pick a used R9 3900/3950 or even R7 3700/3800.
@@Miyconst Thanks, actually used 3950X or other high end 3000 cpus(+mobo) are more expensive than this 2696v3s and I need a lot of ram (64GB) too, so cheap DDR3 ram is also a plus. Can you recommend a good motherboard with TBU bios for 2696V3 except X99 TF/F8?
Hi man!!! Nice vídeo. Di You know if i can use huananzhi qd4 BIOS with TU in this motherboard?
Yes, you can, if you have a V3 CPU, of course.
Too bad the whole xeon setup is priced almost the same as h610m and used 12400f in my country
Yup.. you pay extra for the mini size.
Ive been debating a budget build between a v4 x99 and an x299 workstation for video editing, media server, and light gaming machine. With the graphics card being an RX6600 (already purchased), which platform would you recommend?
AM4 or LGA 1700 I would recommend.
Question, I’ve heard that the Chinese motherboards from aliexpress wont let you play games that require anticheat. Is the true or false?
It is true and false at the same time. Older platforms that don't support Windows 11 are not compatible with some Anticheats software and it doesn't matter if the motherboard is Chinese or not.
bro how a 350w psu can handle these
Why not? Did you see the power consumption readings from the wall?
Wish windows 11 would have support for these cpus. I have a hp z420 with a Xeon 1650 and I’ll be doomed next year when windows 10 support ends.
No support does not mean that it will stop working. You can still keep using it as is.
@@Miyconstuntil driver support is dropped and direct x support ceases. 😢
That's gonna take a few more years.
Hey man what is the best 30 to 50 dollars x99 mobo from aliexpress i can buy for my e5 2650 v4? i want it for gaming and little bit of editing videos
Take a look at X99-PR9: ruclips.net/video/j58Fpm0uetI/видео.htmlsi=3Wq8hdbM4NuECL_j
@@Miyconsti’ve found mr9a v1 for the same price, is it better?
What would price a PC for sale with a China x99, xeon 2673 v3 (12 core) TBU, 16GB, GTX 1070, 256GB SSD?
I don't know, really depends on what other components are and how good of a deal you get for a second hand GTX 1070.
What is the name of the case of that PC?

Does the onboard SATA slow down for sustained writes?
What do you mean by onboard SATA? There are no onboard SATA drives in this build.
I meant to ask if you tested the SATA performance, my QD4 SATA randomly slows to a crawl and I'm trying to find a solution
The 2667 is pcie 3.0, how much performance loss do you think the 4060 receives not running in pcie 4.0? 5-10%
The loss is very minimal, up to 5% in the worst cases.
show de bola
nice
2667 v4 better than 2697a v4 ? And HT on or off on 2697
For gaming

@@Miyconst thank you watched it already about 1 hour ago actually 😂
@@Miyconst 😐👍
should be 550w 😅😅
Check the 550 Watts TFX PSU prices. 😬
PS is most efficient when power consumption is ~ >50%.
But can it handle AAAA game? lol RIP Ubisoft
😂😂😂
Ubisoft with their 4xA excuse are delusional, I don't think Skull and Bones will be a success.
power suply.. eppic fail
Do you have any better suggestions?
lol stop useless counter strike and fornite bench, use HELLDIVERS 2 for cpu !!!
Do you know if the game has a built-in benchmark or replay function?
when will this man smile
Maybe when ruzzians get the duck out of Ukraine and stop the genocide.
